After months of dreaming about (and sometimes even helping) SG-1, Caroline (host of the Tok'Ra queen Egeria) finds herself pulled through to their world. Adapting isn't really the problem as it's technically the same world, it's dealing with a rather embarrassing (and uninterested) crush and the fact that Egeria is dying with no apparent way to save her.

Prologue

Colorado Springs – Home of Focus on the Family and the Air Force Academy.

A white Dodge truck is approaching Cheyenne Mountain, although not on a route to it. Inside, four people laugh and joke about one of the occupants' previous experience with a small black and white animal, which thankfully ended with the person in question getting away safely and without any unpleasant odors.

Something is building in the air, causing it to shimmer strangely, slowly at first, and then more obviously.

One of the people inside the truck (who had had the run in with the skunk) notices the weird patterns in the air presses against the window to see it better, for the air had taken on the shape of one those hologram pictures from Stargate, and she was almost certain she could see a face belonging to someone she had a rather embarrassing crush on. The others do not see the shimmering – they do, however, see the semi that seems to appear out of nowhere and comes straight toward them way too fast.

The driver of the Dodge attempts to maneuver out of the semi's way, but it stays in front of them somehow and hits them head on. A bright light fills everything, and the two people in the backseat are gone…
