Chapter 9
About two weeks has passed since the duo returned from feudal Japan. Miroku got quickly accustomed to the modern traditions of the shrine. He was able to do a lot of repairs on the shrine that was desperately needed. Kagome would help out between the shrine and house since she had already graduated from high school just before her last time traveling trip to the feudal era. They have tried and failed going thru the well but they weren't discouraged.
During their free time, Kagome took Miroku sightseeing and tried out different treats. She realized under the pervy monk persona, they had quite a bit in common. Like the same types of literature. They could sit and discuss for hours on end without getting bored. And they share a common love of sweet treats.
"Let's go Miroku! I wanna go to that vintage bookstore before they close!" Kagome was getting impatient.
"How do I look Kagome?" Miroku stepped out the house.
Kagome turned and was at a loss for words when she saw him. Miroku wore a white muscle tee with blue jeans and white sneakers. Kagome couldn't tear her eyes away from his muscular form.
'Did he always had all this muscles? Wow! He's hot!'
"Kagome. Hello? Are you ok?" Miroku was standing right in front of her.
"Ummm yeah you look good" she blushed. "Come on let's go"
"Wait. Don't you want me to ask you how you look?" he smirked.
'I love messing with just to make her blush!'
"Hmmm no I'm good. I know I look cute with my pink striped off the shoulder top and mini skirt showing off my sexy legs." as she flipped her hair.
"You are too much. You do look beautiful." as Miroku brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear with unwavered eye contact."
"Sorry to bother both of you but you'll never make it to the bookstore if you keep staring at each other like that" as Souta ran by with his soccer ball. "I'm going with my friends to the park. See ya later!"
Both embarrassed but snapped back to reality.
"Let's get going" as the duo said in unison followed by laughs to release the tension in the air.
