Walk with me and ponder
In the wide blue yonder -
Spirit, whither wander you?
Giddily swaying hand-in-hand,
Tripping and skipping lightly:
What fun
May be had when the sun
Disappears in the west,
That with rest
We may be blessed -
And blessed nightly!
Come, let us make the most
Of each minute we have to spare!
Come, banish every ghost
Of today - banish all despair!
We will glide
Like a rising tide
Heading slowly home,
Humming softly as we roam.
Cares ain't worth a penny:
Though we had so many,
I can't think of any now!
Who can resist an evening stroll
After the clouds have parted?
So sweet
Smells the rain-spattered street,
It's in vain that I try
To think why
I used to sigh
Broken-hearted!
Chills nibble at your skin -
Did all heat vanish with the storm?
Love, let me draw you in:
You'll find I'm pleasurably warm.
Two the moon
Will illumine soon
Standing at the door,
Far, far closer than before.
