Miko and Monk goes on a date!

Kagome looked at her reflection in the full length mirror. 'I wonder if this too dressy' as she walked back over to the closet searching thru her dresses. 'He wants me to wear a dress. I have no idea what he has planned for our date!

After she swiped on the shimmery peach lip gloss, there was a knock at the door. With one more look in the mirror at her strapless short peach dress with a matching shimmery cardigan and her hair in loose curls, she opened the door. There stood Miroku with a bunch of pink lilies. He wore jeans, a blue button down shirt and a blazer. His shoulder length hair neatly combed into a ponytail. Kagome smiled at the handsome sight before her.

Giving a bow, "my lady are you ready?" Taking her hand and placing a kiss.

Kagome cheeks turned pink. "Yes I am. Shall we go?" Handing her the flowers and giving his arm, Kagome happily took both. They made their way downstairs.

"Oh look at both of you! You both look cute together" mama gushed.

"Wait sis, lemme take a picture. Souta pulled out his cell phone and took a snap. "This is nice! I'll send it to you later."

"Thanks Souta! Lemme put these in some water and we can go." Going into the kitchen.

"Ready let's go!" Miroku opened the door and Kagome went out first. He turned to mama and Souta "we're off" with a big grin. Souta gave a thumbs up and Miroku return it closing the door behind them.

"Where are we going" Kagome asked.

"Don't ask just follow me" taking her hand. The duo went to subway and hopped on. About 20 minutes later, they were downtown. They walked up the block and came to a stop. "Here we are" pointing over to the Megaplex Theater.

"A movie?" She questioned.

"Yes let's go." Making their way over. They got to their seats with popcorn in hand.

Looking around Kagome noticed the theater was empty. "Miroku, its empty, are you sure we are in the right one?"

"Shhh be quiet it's going to start" with that it got dark and the movie started. Turns out it was an animated movie. Kagome was so happy that she had tears of joy in her eyes.

After the movie, they went to their favorite French cafe. They were served tea and mini cream puffs with fresh strawberries.

"Miroku! This looks delish!" as she took a bite into a mini cream puff. "Tell me how did you pull off that movie?" curiously looking at Miroku as he sipped the tea.

"Hojo's older brother is the manager of the theater. When he heard I wanted to take you out on a date, he offered to reserve the entire theater for us."

That's so nice! But how did you know about my favorite movie?" Looking at him with amusement.

"That's easy Souta told me!" Smirking. "Since were done here, let's go!"

They left the cafe and made their way to the arcade. The duo played video games, took pictures in the booths and played the claw game. Poor Miroku couldn't grab the teddy bear Kagome had her eyes on and was disappointed. Kagome gave it a try and won it on the first try.

Afterward, they went to a little ramen shop for dinner.

"That's was yummy! I haven't had tasty ramen like this in a long time! Placing her water glass down.

"Well I have. I love your ramen." Miroku gushed. "I hope you have room for dessert!" winking at Kagome.

"You are a tease!" She giggled.

The duo walked thru the park to the ice cream stand. They shared vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and sprinkles. As they sat by pond eating ice cream and chatting about their fun filled day when Miroku noticed a tall wheel filled with lights spinning slowly. "What's that over there?" He curiously asked.

"That's a Ferris wheel. You can see the whole area from up above. Do you wanna go? It's fun!"

"Sure why not! Let's go! They went into the pod as it made its way to the top when it stopped abruptly. A voice came in over the intercom "sorry everyone. We have a small problem. We are working it. Please be patient." The duo looked at each other and giggled.

"Oh well we might as well enjoy the lights from up here." Just then all the lights went off in a power failure. "Oh great! It's pitch black and can't see anything!" Kagome whined in disappointment.

Miroku inched closer to Kagome and placed an arm around her pulling her in closer. "Don't be sad I'm here with you. There's many things we can do in the dark." He whispered.

Just as they leaned in for a kiss, there were popping sounds and the sky filled up with fireworks. Kagome jumped out of Miroku arms in excitement. "Oh wow! Fireworks! I wonder what the occasion is as she looked back to Miroku to see him with his hand held out. There was a small red velvet box. He opened it and there was a single solitaire pink diamond ring. "Kagome will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" looking at the sight before her she was lost for words but said

"Yes I'll be your wife, Miroku! With that he placed the ring on her finger and they kissed deeply and passionately. Just then the Ferris wheel started and made its decent back down. When they came out, all of their family and friends were there waiting with balloons and champagne.

"Miroku did you plan all of this?" She asked with a stunned look.

"Of course I did with lots of help" he smiled taking her hand and leading her to everyone.

"Congratulations!" They all yelled while popping open champagne bottles.

Kagome kissed Miroku "you are amazing my handsome monk. I love you!" He returned the kiss "as do I love you my beautiful miko."
