A Trip Through Time
Chapter 29: This is OUR Future
Previously
"A... a baby?..." Helga questioned.
"You... you guys had another baby?.." Arnold questioned.
When their future selves nod, both of them lost all the color on their faces.
Their jaws dropped.
"Oh Henry..."Future Helga sighed as she held her baby.
"Little buddy.."Future Arnold cooed.
"Hey Henry..."Andy greeted his baby brother.
"Hi..."Megan said, while she was usually annoyed by his crying, she was happy to see him.
Arnold and Helga looked to their future selves as they showered the infant with affection. it wasn't until they put a lot of thought into the situation that they realized how in love they would be in the future.
Helga had feelings for Arnold yes, but to see her being so affectionate, it was too much. Arnold could grasp any coherent thought as he looked to the future couple.
That did it. That was the straw that broke the camels back. All of the stress and shock that they have endured these last few days reached it's limit when they saw the little baby boy and they're very much in love future selves. The two young time travelers looked to each and realized what this meant for them.
That's when they collapsed on the floor, fainting on the spot
"Ugh..." Helga stirred awake. When she finally did, she saw Arnold looking concerned over her.
"Helga?..."He said in concern.
"Football Head?I had the craziest dream!..." She sat up and laughed.
"That we traveled in time and found out you and are married and we have three kids..."Arnold said.
Helga's smile dropped. The color on her face left her.
"That wasn't a dream... was it?..."She asked in a hesitant voice.
Arnold shook his head no and pointed to their future selves and their children, including the baby in their arm.
"Are you guys both okay?..."Andy asked as he helped Young Helga up.
"Our bigger mommy and daddy told us that you guys were really tired after all that has happened today..."Megan said in a naive tone.
"Uh..yeah...tired..."Young Helga said weakly as she was now up.
She looked around.
"Where are we and how long was I out?..."Helga asked.
"You were passed out for almost half an hour and woke up just a few minutes after the younger Arnold did, and we decided to bring you guys to our home..."Future Helga said.
"Our home?..."Young Arnold said.
"Yeah, I hope you guys like it...I know it's not exactly the ritz, but we like it.."Future Helga said.
The younger version looked at the place... it was a nice, two-story house that seemed relatively comfy and well furnished, elegantly decorated and well-kept too.
It's not a mansion per say, but it did have a nice, comfy, home-y feeling to it.
"So this is your house? Nice..." The young Arnold thought out loud.
"Not bad..."Young Helga said.
It wasn't the mansion or the white house that she always pictured she would reside in, but this is a real home, which she lives in with Arnold and she automatically adored it...though she wouldn't say that out loud, of course.
"Where's Phoebe and Geraldo?..."Helga questioned.
"About five minutes up the street from here...they are with their own future selves..."Future Arnold said.
"How far away are we from the Boarding house?..."Young Arnold questioned.
"About ten minutes..."His older self answered.
The young Arnold was happy with the set up of the house. It's still close to his friends and family with his own independence. Then again, who wouldn't like that set-up?
Not to mention that his future self wasn't too far away from the boarding house if his Grandparents needed help not that Grandpa would ever admit to needing help even at 105 years old but still.
The two young time traveler observed the house a little bit more before they heard the older Helga clap her hand.
"We'll have a grand tour of the place later," the older Helga said. "Right now let's just get settled in..."She said.
"So, since you guys are going to be staying here for a while, I guess a proper introduction should be made...Hello...I am Arnold Phillip Shortman, age 34 and an anthropologist..."The Future Arnold said in a playful introductory sort of way.
Next was his wife.
"Hello...Helga Shortman...age 34, author and happily married..."She also introduced and chuckled.
"And we see that you have already been acquainted with the kids, already..."She joked.
"Mom, do we have to do this?..."Andy asked, before he went along with.
"Hey, I'm Andy Phillip Shortman, fourth grader and karate champion..."He greeted.
"I am Megan G. Shortman and I'm in kindergarten..."Megan said, even doing a cute little curtsy as she did so.
"Megan G. Shortman..."Helga repeated.
It had the same ring as her own chosen appellation but at the same time, there was something nicer to it.
"And you are all familiar with little Henry here..."Future Helga said as she cooed at her baby again.
"Henry..."Helga said, admitting that deep down, she likes that name.
"One year old and already toddling..."She said as she placed her baby boy on the ground.
Suddenly, the little baby suddenly crawled toward them, and Arnold got a closer look at little Henry. He did look a lot like him and Helga to say the least. His head shape was more similar to Helga's but his eyes, nose and ears were definitely like closer to Arnold's and he also has his shade of blonde hair to boot.
He is wearing a green onesie with a star on it and needless to say, he just so gosh darn cute!
"Ga ga…geh gah…."The baby gurgled out, along with some drool.
Young Helga, the toughest girl at school just stared at him at awe, and before she or Arnold knew it, she picked him up, being amazed at how light he is.
"Wow..."Helga said as she looked at the baby, feeling something happening to her.
It was almost like how she fell in love with Arnold when they were three, but a different kind of love. A maternal kind of love...
Arnold witness this and he was amazed by the look on Helga's face as she held the baby.
"H-Hi...Henry..."Helga said in a shaky voice and Henry babbled a bit.
Helga felt happy...until Henry's hand grabbed a fist full of her right pigtail, and due to being a curious little baby who didn't know any better, Henry pulled it, causing Helga to yelp a bit.
"Ow! Hey, let go!…'Helga said to Henry to who giggled and pulled again, since he is still too little to understand.
"Ha…he…ha…"Henry laughed as he pulled again, and Helga wasn't sure how to get him to stop.
"Oh, sorry about that..he's at the hair pulling stage..."Future Arnold explained as his infant son kept pulling and laughing.
'Ouch! Come on, let go...."Helga said, while Arnold was trying hard not to laugh.
"I think he likes you, Helga..."Arnold chuckled, unable to help but find this scene both adorable and hilarious.
"Haha..."Helga said sarcastically as she then handed the baby to Arnold, just to shut him up.
Arnold was silenced when he soon saw himself holding Henry and soon, he experienced the same sort of parental love at first sight...it lasted until Henry started to gurgle and spew some spit that dripped onto Arnold.
Helga had to hold herself from bursting out laughing.
"Looks like he likes you too, Football Head..."Helga laughed.
"Oh man..."He muttered.
Henry then grabbed Arnold's hat off his head and stuck the brim in his mouth
"Uh..uh...Henry...please stop that.."Arnold said, while the baby giggled and continued.
"Babies can't talk, little daddy.."Megan pointed out, giggling like her baby brother.
"Oh...right," Arnold blushed in embarrassment.
Henry soon grew bored of the hat and tossed it and the hat landing on Helga's nose.
Henry giggled and even Arnold had to laugh at the amusing sight as he took his wet hat back putting it on his head.
Younger Helga glared at Arnold before looking to Henry tickling him in the belly
"You're lucky you're cute..." she said making him giggle
"And that your the son of me and my beloved..."She thought in her head.
"Sorry about that, Henry does that to my hat too..."Andy said as he pointed to his own hat.
"He's always trying to grab my bow and drool on it..."Megan said in annoyance.
"He's just a baby, he doesn't know any better..."Future Arnold said to his children.
Future Helga grabbed her baby, realizing that he might be a little too much for the inexperienced children. Or children that would later get experience when they had their children...her children.
"Criminy! Now the Football head has me thinking about it time travel...at least not in the way it gave everyone a headache as long as they weren't Phoebe..or Doc Brown...."Future Helga thought.
She turned her focus on the laughing baby.
"Come on baby...why don't you come with me?..."She said, kissing Henry on the cheek and making him giggle.
"You didn't mean that, did you? did you?..."Future Helga cooed and her baby kept giggling and laughing as he reached for her face.
Young Helga normally would have been upset by showing soften, but she was secretly too overcome with joy upon seeing that this will be her future. She also noticed that Arnold was looking at the scene in fascination and amazement too.
"What's with him?..."She thought, before Arnold spoke up.
"Three kids..." Young Arnold said Adult Arnold nodded in agreement
"I know what you mean..."He whispered.
"Andy, Megan and Henry..."Arnold repeated, still finding this whole thing amazing to say the least.
He was an only child and he never had a brother or sister, so he always did figure that if he ever had a family of his own, he'd want a big family...he wanted to have children some day.
Now it looks like he gets to look forward to having THREE of them.
Wow.
Elsewhere
While Arnold and Helga were busy with their "family", Gerald and Phoebe were also dealing with their.
After Arnold and Helga both fainted from the shock of seeing their eventual son Henry, their future counterparts and kids took them with them, leaving Gerald and Phoebe to be taken by their own future selves.
They were now in a very modern looking home and Gerald looked impressed.
"Mmm...mmm...mmmm...Not bad..."Gerald said as he looked around, impressed.
It's not a mansion per say but it is obvious that his future self is very well payed if he can afford a place like this.
"We're glad that you like it...Gerald...'Kiara said, feeling a little strange by calling her father by his first name.
"What about you,...Phoebe?..."Kiara asked her younger mother.
"It is very nice..."Phoebe said, while her future counter parts came back.
"Now, listen you guys...before we give you the ground tour and explain some things...since you guys are going to be staying here, we have something to tell you guys...it's a little big but since you know about Kiara and nothing bad will happen, you can know...'Future Gerald said.
"Yes, but it is quite surprising and I am worried you guys will be a little overwhelmed..."Future Phoebe said.
"Hey...don't worry, after the kind of adventure I had, nothing can surprise me anymore..."Young Gerald said.
"I concur...I doubt that there is much that can top a trip to the future and befriending our future child..."Young Phoebe said.
Their adult counterparts then nodded and soon went to another room.
"What do you think they are referring too?..."Phoebe asked.
"Who knows? But I doubt it can be any more surprising than what Arnold and Helga got, I still can't believe she fainted at the sight of a baby..."Gerald said, actually amused.
Before Phoebe could say anything, her future self and future husband returned, this time, with a young, bespectacled girl in Future Phoebe's arms. She had been with one of their neighbors during their absence and now she is here.
She looked so much like Kiara, but she wore glasses and her hair is in little pigtails..
"W-What?..."Young Gerald said and Kiara sighed.
"I'd like to introduce you guys to my little sister, Akiko "Kiki" Johanssen..."Kiara said as the little girl was now out of her mother's arms and walked up to the time displaced children, who were now gawking at her.
"Hello...I'm Kiki...It's nice to meet you..."Kiki said politely.
The end result were Gerald and Phoebe passing out on the ground.
Back to the Shortman household.
Young Arnold was still marveling over this entire situation. Young Helga saw the expression on his face and wondered how he was taking all of this in.
"So, we have three kids?..."Arnold said and Helga looked around.
"Um...are there any more?..."Young Helga questioned, looking nervous.
After all, she had believed that Andy was an only child until Megan appeared to the scene and then Henry pops up at the boarding house. She was almost worried there might be more.
"Well, we can't forget about Mimi..."Megan said and Andy rolled her eyes.
"Mimi?..."Helga questioned, wondering if there is a fourth child, Arnold was also confused and maybe nervous.
At least until Megan to pull out a little doll.
"This is Mimi Shortman...say hi, Mimi..."Megan said and her parents chuckled.
"Oh, a doll...'Arnold said as Helga let out a sigh of relief.
Don't get her wrong, she loves the idea of having a family with Arnold and Andy, Megan and Henry were cool but she has been through a lot of shocks and surprises recently.
She is not sure if she can handle any more surprises.
"This is Mimi Shortman and next to Kiki, she is my bestest friend…'Megan said happily as she hugged her dolly tightly.
"Mommy and daddy gave her to be for my first birthday…"Megan said with a large smile as she continued to cuddle with her doll.
Young Arnold thought the scene was utterly adorable, while Helga was didn't know what to think. Before she could say anything, Future Arnold spoke up, patting his daughter on the head, which she didn't seem to mind.
"Doll aside, we only have three kids...though, we never know..."Future Arnold said in a hinting tone to his wife.
"Oh, we know..."Future Helga said flatly
Little Megan didn't hear this as she went to her parents, still holding Mimi in her arms.
"Can we get a sister next time? Please?..." Megan asked, clueless to the process of having a child.
Both of their parents laughed.
"Maybe Meggie-pie..." Adult Arnold said and his wife sent him the "Not happening" look.
"For now, you and Andy-kins just make do with Henry." Adult Helga went.
Hearing those come out of their older selves made the two younger versions more than a little weirded out.
'Meggie-pie?...'Helga questioned to Arnold with part of her brow raised.
"Andy-kins?..." Arnold said in the same kind of tone and the same raised eyebrow.
There was a moment of silence between the two blonde pre-teens before Helga broke it.
"I won't say anything if you won't…'Helga said with a sigh of defeat.
"Deal…'Arnold agreed.
It was kind of weird not only seeing themselves as parents, but the kind of parents they grow up to be. The affectionate kind, it seems.
And they are still at it...
"Our little angels from heaven…'Adult Helga gushed happily.
"Chips off the old block…'Adult Arnold said in the same kind of way as he referred to his kids.
"Mom...dad..."Andy said, used to them doing this sort of thing but still embarrassed with people watching.
Sure, it's technically their younger selves but the feeling is the same.
"Mom, dad...I think you are weirding out your younger selves..."Andy said, getting his parents attention.
They noticed the expressions on their younger selves faces and realized that he was right.
"Are you guys okay?..."Andy asked, noticing that they both seemed pretty overwhelmed right now.
Arnold nodded after a minute.
"We're good...I think it's just this isn't something you see every day..." Arnold said.
Traveling to the future...meeting your future kids...seeing yourself as an adult.
It would probably drive some people completely crazy.
"Doi football head, where have you been the last couple days" Helga teases while inside she was cheering
"I am going to marry Arnold, this will be our home where we will raise our children! Oh~..."Helga swooned internally.
Before she realized something.
"Hey! Where exactly are we going to sleep?..."She asked.
Adult Helga and Arnold looked at each other that was a good point even with Gerald and Phoebe watching over their younger selves there were still two more people in the Shortman house that would need a place to sleep.
"Like we said, you guys will be staying us for a while until Phoebe gets back to us about the time travel thing..."Future Helga said.
"I suppose you two could bunk up with each other" Adult Arnold suggested getting a cheer from Megan.
"YAY! Slumber party….'Megan said in excitement while Henry still drooled a bit.
"Megan, your room isn't big enough for three people...plus younger me might not want to share..."The mother whispered the last bit to herself.
She knew that as a child, she was pretty short tempered...Future Helga wasn't sure exactly when she and her younger selves appeared...only that it was before San Lorenzo .
Helga Shortman was many things but she was not going to force herself to sleep in a storage closet like Big Bob did.
"We have plenty of rooms in this house where you guys can stay..."Future Arnold said, only for Megan, who was still excited by this whole thing, to speak up
"They can stay with me I don't mind sharing my room…it'll be fun..."Megan said sweetly to her parents who smiled.
That's very nice of you, angel….but your room might get a little crowded, how about mommy stays with you and daddy can stay with Andy….'Adult Arnold suggested.
"Your little mommy and daddy, that is..."Adult Helga said, noticing her confused look.
"Okay…."Megan said happily, glad that at the very least she had a new playmate tonight.
"Is that okay with you, son?..."Arnold asked.
"Sure dad, I don't mind…"Andy answered.
Adult Arnold and Helga looked to their younger versions
"What about you guys? How do you feel about the situation?..." Adult Arnold asked.
"Obviously, we're not your parents and we won't force you to do something you're not comfortable with..."Future Helga said.
Arnold shrugged .
"I'm fine with it..." He said, fist bumping with Andy like he does with Gerald
"What about you Helga?..."He asked.
Helga nodded.
"Of course, I can football head! I'm Helga G Pataki and I can handle being roommates with a kindergartner..." She said and Megan looked happy.
"Yay! We're gonna have so much fun..."Megan said happily.
"You sure that there is enough room?...'She did ask, just to be sure.
"Uh-huh...but there is only one bed..."Future Arnold said.
"Well, we have air mattresses and an old bed somewhere in the attic..."He explained.
"Though knowing Megan, she'd probably want you to share her bed with her..."Future Helga said with a hint of amusement.
Her younger self wasn't that amused, though.
"Well, sharing a bed with my daughter who isn't born yet from my perspective is super weird..." Helga muttered. "I'll take the air mattress..."She said.
"Fine with us." Adult Arnold said.
"Cool, so dad?..."Andy started.
"Yes?..."Both Arnold's said to their son, before pausing and blinking.
"Oh...yeah...I guess this is going to be confusing..."Andy admitted
"No doi...how are we going to refer the two of them and the two of me for that matter, without causing a lot of headaches?..."Young Helga questioned.
"What's wrong with calling them mommy and daddy and little mommy and little daddy?..."Megan said.
"You do that if you want but I am not saying that..."Andy said stubbornly.
He wasn't going to use such childish ways to refer to the time travelers. Megan frowned when he heard that but Young Arnold intervene.
"If you want...you could just call your parents what you always call them and you can us, Arnold and Helga..."The young one suggested.
"Really?..."He asked.
He never calls his dad by his name and even when they had been in hiding, he was just too use to calling him "dad".
It's weird.
"Why not?..."Helga said.
"Uh...okay...thanks...Helga..."Andy said, feeling strange by referring to his mom by her name.
"And to make things easier...well, we can call you by your names and you can call us Mr. and Mrs. Shortman..."Future Helga suggested.
This caused the younger kids to blush deeply.
"Mrs. Shortman...Oh~..."Young Helga while swooning on the inside.
"Uh...sure...why not?..."She said, still blushing a bit.
"Okay...now that's settled...what were you going to ask Andy-kins?..."Future Helga said.
"Oh yeah, So...Arnold...come on, I'll show you my room..."He said.
"Okay..."Arnold nodded.
Helga soon found her hand being held by Megan's, who looked excited.
"Come on..come on..I wanna show you my room..."Megan said, excitedly.
"Okay...okay...calm down...'Helga said as she found herself being pulled by the excited little five year old.
The adult couple watched their younger selves leave with their children, just in time for both of their phones to start ringing.
They glanced at their caller ID and sighed.
"And it's started..."Mrs. Shortman muttered before answering it.
In Andy's room
Andy soon brought Arnold to his own bedroom.
"Here we are..."Andy said as he invited the other football headed child into his room.
Arnold looked around, it was similar but different from Arnold's own room. People often say that Arnold has a pretty cool room, due to how he had tricked it out over the years but Andy's just looks like any other bedroom in America.
"Hey, wanna see something cool?..."Andy said.
"What is it?..."Arnold asked as Andy suddenly pulled out a remote control.
Soon a couch folded out, a disco ball appeared and many other gadgets came out.
"Wow..."Arnold commented by the transformed room.
"Dad...my older dad tricked it out...cool, huh..."Andy said.
"Wow...it's a lot like my own room..."Arnold said as he eyed the remote.
"Dad has a huge nostalgia for his old room." Andy answered. "I remember Gra-" Andy froze before remembering what his father told him. "Great grandpa... was against the idea at first but Dad insisted on it..."He said, all the while, internally berating himself.
"Stupid...stupid...don't say anything risky..."He thought.
Arnold took notice of what he said.
Really?" Arnold said, trying to be nonchalant about the slip-up.
"Yeah..." Andy said, worried he slipped up and something rather risky.
"Grandpa never seemed to mind. In fact, he helped me get the tools from the hardware store..."Arnold said.
Andy gulped and tried to fix the situation. He didn't like lying, so he settled for the truth...the partial truth anyway.
"Well,...Mom helped convince him otherwise...She said she would supervise the whole thing. My dad said he could handle it, but mom didn't want anything to happen to me. She can be really stubborn sometimes...'Andy chuckled nervously.
Arnold was silent for a moment, before chuckling, believing him.
"Stubborn sounds like Helga..."He said.
"Yeah..."Andy said, happy that he didn't slip up.
Arnold then looked around his future son's bedroom some more. He saw some trophies, books, a television and some pictures. Some of them had pictures of Andy's friends whom they saw the other day, but most of them were either future his future self, Future Helga, his siblings or Kiara.
One of them caught his interest.
It was a picture of Andy, apparently having won a baseball game with his friends.
"Cool..." Arnold said as he saw the picture of Andy at baseball. "You said that you play with your friends?..."He asked.
"A few times...I'm the best pitcher though..." Andy said.
Arnold looked impressed. He then had another question.
"Does your dad... or... me, I guess, play with you?..."He asked and Andy nodded.
"A few times...mom does too..." Andy answered.
"He mentions you guys used to play on the street before you got a space called Gerald Field..."Andy said.
"Yeah..." Arnold said, looking back on it with fondness.
"You know, your great-grandfather and so many grown ups kind of made it a bit hard when they tried to take the space for themselves..."He said.
"Dad told me about that too...I can't imagine playing baseball on a street and even if I could, mom would kill me..." Andy said.
"It was fun... when there were no cars." Arnold admitted.
"Is that place still open? I'd like to go there..."He said. "It is but... I think it's better you don't. We can't risk you seeing something you shouldn't...besides, even if we convinced my friends that you are my distant relative, one of their parents could show up and recognize you, we can't risk it.." Andy said.
"Good point..."Arnold admitted, realizing that he'd had to wait until he got home to play baseball there.
"Plus, I don't want mom to find out. After everything that's happened so far, I don't want to risk her getting upset..." Andy said.
"Mom... huh..." Arnold got to thinking.
He notice that his dad was looking down, with a strange look on his face.
"What's wrong Da- I mean... Arnold?" Andy asked.
"Uh..."Arnold paused.
"It's just..your mom...Helga... did you know that as a kid she can be pretty-...'Arnold paused, not sure how to answer this.
"Cranky?..."Andy supplied.
"Yeah, I remember you mention one time that you guys argued when you were younger before..."Andy stopped.
"Before what?..'Arnold asked, curious.
He was curious to know exactly what caused him to fall in love with Helga G. Pataki and eventually marry her...and what made Helga fall for him too?
One time, when he took Rhonda's origami test, he wound up getting Helga 110 times and he had a nightmare where he would be miserable with her, where she was still mean to him and treated him like a slave and they had three destructive monster children who hated him and destroyed everything.
Well, it looks like the test was right but instead of being mean to him, she obviously loves him and from what he has seen, she loves their children too.
Speaking of the children, Andy, Megan and Henry are actually great kids and he can see himself being really happy with this future.
But what caused it? He knows he shouldn't ask but he can't help but wonder.
"Uh...before you got together..."He said, being careful not to mention the trip to San Lorenzo.
" It's still weird to see her like this, so young...like with you, but I still see she'll one day be my mom..."Andy said with an almost affectionate smile as he thought of her.
"I just didn't think she would grow up to be-"
"Be this really loving, fun, but over protecting mother that I love, who likes to smother me when I'm not in trouble?..." Andy finished Arnold's sentence.
Arnold nodded.
"She can be, but when mom isn't being overprotective, she's the best. She always there for me and Megan and Henry...she could wait for us forever..."Andy said.
"Really?..."Arnold said, looking pleasantly surprised.
"If anything, I sometimes think she loves us a little too much..."Andy said, remembering many incidents involving his loving but very protective mother.
Arnold chuckled.
"Helga can be pretty intense at times..."Arnold said with amusement.
Both boys chuckled.
Arnold still had so many questions, but none of the answers.
He did think this though when Andy was showing off his comic book collection.
"At least I know my kids will have the kind of mom I wish I had growing up.."Arnold thought as he continued his tour of his future son's bedroom.
"How do you think Helga's doing with Megan?..." Andy asked sure he knew his mom could handle Megan but Helga wasn't his mom yet.
"I mean, she is my mom, but not yet..I mean...Oh great now I got that time travel headache...'Andy thought in annoyance, while Arnold answered him.
"I'm sure she's fine..." Arnold said
Speaking of Helga
"Criminy! And I thought Olga's room was girly..."
Helga G. Pataki soon found herself in what was probably the girliest bedroom she has ever seen. Sure, her own bedroom is pretty girly but her future daughter was even more so. It was mostly pink and white color scheme, with about a million dolls, stuffed animals and a bunch of other kiddie toys, not to mention a play table and tea party set, and just about anything you can find in a five year old girl's room.
"So this is your room..."Helga said as the little girl nodded.
"Uh-huh...come on, let's play..."Megan said and Helga sighed, figuring she could humor her a little.
"Fine... what do you want to play?..."Helga asked as Megan ran to the play table.
"Tea party!..."Megan said.
"Of course..."Helga grumbled.
"But it's themed! We're in a cafe in France, like last summer!..."Megan said and Helga rose an eyebrow, or at least a side of her unibrow.
"We've been to France?..."She questioned.
"You went a few times..." Megan said before gasping and covering her mouth. "Oh no... I'm not supposed to say anything!..."She said, looking nervous.
Helga smiled a little.
"Don't worry, I won't squeal...'She said.
She took notice of her surroundings again. She saw that Megan has a lot of nice looking toys and clothes. She realized how much this must cost and it was definitely not cheap.
"I see your mom likes to spoil you..."She said and Megan pouted for some reason.
"She says when I'm older, I need to pull my weight." Megan said. "Mommy says she won't play favorites...even if I'm the cutest..."Megan said the last bit with a smirk, very much similar to Helga's.
Hearing that made Helga feel some relief.
Good, I don't play favorites..."Helga thought, having been worried.
Megan soon placed several dolls and stuffed animals in the other chairs, with her doll Mimi being among them.
"Come on, let's play..."Megan said.
Helga sighed, deciding that she could humor her a little.
"Fine..."Helga muttered as she took her seat and Megan grinned.
If anyone ever found out that Helga G. Pataki ever willingly subjected herself to a tea party...well, she didn't even want to think about that but Megan is really insistent and she figure that one game wouldn't kill her.
Besides, how hard could play time with a five year old be anyway?
