Whenever Summer thought about it, she realised that she'd always had trouble in her life and it always followed her wherever she went. It usually worked out for the best, but this time Summer was unsure as to whether it would get fixed. It had been 5 long weeks since Summer broke up with Steve and it had been difficult to deal with. At first she was okay, but it was probably due to her not realising what she'd done, but soon it dawned on her that she was no longer with Steve and she broke down completely. She realised that she could no longer travel home to Texas to be with Steve; she couldn't sleep in the same bed with him, make love to him or even talk to him anymore. She ended up living with her brothers back in North Carolina with a new set of clothes and other bits and pieces. She didn't want any of her old stuff back from Steve's ranch, it held too many memories so she didn't want it anywhere near her.

Summer didn't care if Steve had destroyed it all; she knew that Jeannie would love to destroy it and she probably already had. In fact, Jeannie was probably living with Steve now; they were probably all loved up and back together. It hurt to think about it but Summer needed to move on and thinking about that did help.

But when she thought she was strong she always got knocked back down again, sometimes she'd see Steve down a corridor or talking to somebody laughing and joking and she'd have to walk away from it. It surprised her because he was happy and smiling whereas she was a complete mess and broken inside. But she knew that this was her mess, she did break up with him after all but that was mostly Steve's fault, in fact, it was all Steve's fault that this happened in the first place.

If he hadn't spoken to Jeannie none of this would have happened, better yet, if she hadn't of got on that plane to see Wrestlemania this situation wouldn't exist and Summer would still be engaged to Steve.

Summer sighed to herself as she pulled on her knee pads, she strapped them in place and then pulled her pant legs back down to cover her sneakers. She was only going to be a cheerleader tonight for her brothers, as much as the producers denied it; Summer was still being punished for what happened at Backlash.

Both her and Jeff had been punished for climbing to the top of the stage and jumping off without telling anybody, it was only a verbal warning but Summer knew her punishment was more severe because of Steve. Before they'd broken up Summer found out that Steve had spoken to Vince and told him to punish her for doing such a stupid thing. So she wasn't allowed to wrestle now, for the past 5 weeks she'd wrestled twice and had lost both times. She was pissed off about that because now she looked weak even though she was still the women's champion. Steve could easily get his way and he'd certainly done that by getting her punished for doing such a crazy stunt.

"Sis are you ready to go?" Jeff asked as he walked into their dressing room and saw Summer lacing up her sneakers.

She looked up at him and said "Yep"

"Everything okay?" Jeff asked his baby sister, when she gave one worded answers he knew she was either upset or pissed off at something. "There's nothing wrong Jeff I'm okay" Summer replied as she stood up and ran a hand through her hair, normally she'd curl it but tonight she'd decided to straighten it so it hung passed her breasts in thick waves. She decided to wear her white and pink cropped t-shirt and her usual blue baggy pants which were looser than usual. Since breaking up with Steve she hadn't eaten much so she'd been losing muscle in her stomach so it was showing more bone than usual.

Jeff noticed this and frowned at his sister, "I know you're not okay sis"

"Then why ask me?" Summer replied as she put her hands on her hips and frowned at him, "And anyway you said you wouldn't talk about it"

"I'm not talking about anything" Jeff defended which was making Summer angry, "I only asked you if you were okay"

"But you know that I'm not" Summer replied as she wiped her eyes to try and prevent any tears, "Just don't ask me because you know damn well that I'm not"

"Sums I'm-" Jeff started but just stared at his sister, he knew she was struggling but he didn't know she was this bad, so he walked towards his sister and pulled her into a hug, cradling her head in one hand and the other wrapped around her shoulders. "I'm sorry sis" Jeff said softly as he kissed her forehead, "You know I'm here for you"

"I know you are"

"It's difficult to see you like this" Jeff said because it was true, it was so difficult to see his normally happy and bubbly sister be so down and miserable.

"Why does this keep happening to me?" Summer asked sadly as she rested her head on her brother's shoulder, "Why can't life go and screw someone else?"

"Life ain't like that Sums" Jeff replied, "I know that's not what you wanna hear but we have to stay strong and deal with these things"

"I just miss him that's all" Summer replied as she hugged Jeff a little bit tighter, "I miss him" she said again and then just fell silent. Jeff kissed her head once more and just stood there and held her, but he turned his head when the door opened and Matt came in with Amy, they were both smiling until they saw Jeff with Summer in his arms. Matt just walked towards them and gently rubbed his sister's back in support, he knew that shouting at her would do no good so he'd learnt to bite his tongue and just be there for her.

"I love you guys" Summer said softly and looked at Amy who gave her a sympathetic smile, they'd all been there to help Summer and Summer wouldn't ever forget it.

"You know we'll always be here sis" Matt replied and was taken by surprise when Summer left Jeff's arms to go into Matt's to hug her big brother. She loved him to bits and sometimes needed her big brother for some support, and just like Jeff did, Matt kissed her head and held her tightly.

Eventually Summer pulled away and stood in front of them feeling awkward, she looked up at them and said "Is it time to head out?"

"We're up next yeah" Matt replied as he looked at his sister with sympathetic eyes, he knew Summer hated it but he didn't know what to do to help her. She'd been a complete mess for the past 5 weeks and was not handling this well, Matt remembered well the last time they'd broken up but this time it seemed much worse.

"Sums are you sure you want to come out there?" Jeff asked because Summer looked lost and her confidence had taken a huge blow, but she shook her head and then said "No I'm good, honestly I'll be alright"

"Are you sure? You remember what's happening this week don't you?" Matt asked cautiously hoping Summer didn't start crying, she just looked at him and said "Of course I do"

"I'm just making sure you're okay with it"

"Why wouldn't I be? It's business after all" Summer replied and then looked down at the floor, she knew what was ahead and it was just a business decision.

It was finally time for Steve to beat up the Hardy Boyz and Summer, he'd finally turned heel properly and was causing chaos and destruction wherever he went. He'd beaten everybody up and the fans properly hated him now, so the writers were going to make it worse by getting both him and Hunter to beat the Hardyz and Summer up.

Tonight Jeff had a match against Hunter with Matt and Summer playing cheerleader, Matt would get involved to distract the ref long enough for Summer to hit the moonsault on Hunter for Jeff to get the pin. Stone cold would run out to 'scare' them off which would lead to the tag team match on Smackdown where all 3 of them would get beat up.

Summer was a little bit nervous about seeing Steve; she'd only seen him from far distances and hadn't seen him up close for weeks. And now tonight she'd see him properly for the first time in 5 weeks, she didn't really know how to feel about it so she remained quiet about it and didn't mention it.

"Remember that we'll be with you through it" Jeff said as he wrapped an arm around Summer who just looked at him, "You will?"

"Of course we will, we wouldn't leave you with that asshole" Matt said sternly and Summer winced, she didn't really like it that Matt and Jeff had decided to hate Steve, she knew she should hate him too but love was stronger than hate. It had only been 5 weeks and the love was still strong, it would take a long time for Summer to get over Steve, hell she'd wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, love like that would take months to get over.

"Come on guys you're up next" Amy said as all 3 siblings looked at her and then made their way towards the door after putting their hands together for their signature gesture for their team. "Let's do this!" Matt shouted loudly to pump his brother up; he knew that once Jeff got an adrenaline rush Summer soon started too. He needed his sister focused otherwise she'd screw up the moonsault and could cause injury to herself and Hunter.

-

Steve was pacing back and forth in his dressing room as he sipped a bottle of water; he was prepared and warmed up for tonight even though he wasn't really doing much. All he had to do was run out and 'scare' Matt, Jeff and Summer and then the fun would start on Thursday on Smackdown. He didn't really want too, but it was time to beat them up to get the fans to really hate him. He'd pretty much beaten up every single popular superstar except the Hardyz, now it was time to beat them up and then Steve would become the most hated man by the fans. It was difficult being booed at first, but soon he learnt to enjoy it and embrace his new career move. The only problem he really had was still having Jeannie around him at his manager, he'd managed to remove her from his personal life but he still had to work with her.

Vince had refused to fire her because it was good for his heel personality, but Steve had made a point about keeping her away from him outside of work.

He was still reeling about his break up with Summer and he just wanted everybody away from him, he'd gone crazy at Jeannie and basically told her to get the hell out of his life. At first she stayed away from him but for the past 2 weeks she'd tried to worm her way back in but Steve wouldn't have anything to do with her. Of course he was civil to her during work hours but as soon as Raw or Smackdown was over he'd ignore her completely. He still spoke to his girls and spent time with them, taking them out shopping or spending time at his ranch hunting and fishing. It was nice to be distracted from his thoughts of Summer.

When she slid that ring off her finger and threw it at him he felt his heart shatter into a million pieces, he just couldn't believe it. He knew that things were difficult but he never ever imagined that she'd actually get up and leave him completely. He was devastated and just didn't know what to do. These past 5 weeks had been the worst weeks of his life; he hadn't eaten properly, barely slept and snapped at everybody who crossed his path. It was making his work persona look extremely good because he was angry and beating everybody up. Ratings were through the roof and he was raking in the money because fans wanted to come and watch him every week to hate on him. Steve was an angry man and wanted revenge on everybody, he knew he shouldn't blame others because he'd brought this on himself; he'd caused all of this pain and heartache.

Summer was heartbroken and distraught and it was his fault. It was also his fault that she wasn't allowed to wrestle; he'd made damn sure she got punished for the stunt she'd pulled at Backlash because she'd frightened a lot of people by jumping off that stage. She deserved it at the time, but now they were broken up it was a different situation, he felt bad because he'd put her through this. She'd lost the two matches she did wrestle in and now there was talk she'd actually lose the title, she'd be completely devastated if that happened.

"Dammit what a mess" Steve said to himself as he sat on the couch and ran a hand over his head; he hadn't felt like his normal self since Summer left him. He missed her like crazy and wished that this had never happened, he knew the second Summer left him that it had been a mistake talking to Jeannie. She wasn't the woman for him anymore, yes the feelings were still there but now he realised that they meant nothing. He wasn't sure whether it was normal to have feelings for an ex wife, but there were still lingering feelings because she gave birth to his children and part of him would always care about her but not in the way that she wanted. Jeannie wanted him back to pick up where they left off, but Steve remembered exactly where they left it, arguments and plenty of nasty words being said. He'd walked away from it all even though it cost him his daughters but he couldn't stick around any longer, he wanted a fresh start so he walked away to find it. Of course he didn't find it, he thought he did when he married Debra but things got out of hand again and he'd walked away once more.

But being with Summer took all of that away, there were no arguments and no pressure to be 'a better man' because Summer loved him the way he was. Summer accepted that he could be a pain in the ass and loved him anyway, she didn't try to change the way he looked or dressed, the way he behaved or the way he talked, she loved him for everything that he was, warts and all. So for her to walk away from him caused him extreme pain, more pain that he ever thought possible. They'd broken up once before because of his jealously but this time it was his stupidity that caused her to walk away. Thankfully they'd managed to patch things up then, but this time it didn't look like things could be fixed that easy, especially with a pair of handcuffs and a group of concerned friends.

A knock at the door startled Steve from his thoughts, he looked up and saw Jeannie stroll into the room, and he frowned but didn't say anything. Instead he got up from the couch, opened the cooler by his bags and pulled out a beer, and then he sat his ass back down again. He had another 15 minutes before he had to interfere so he decided to crack open a cold one.

"Steve you're up next interfering in a match" Jeannie said as she stood and watched him open a beer, she frowned at him but knew to keep her mouth shut.

"I know" is all Steve said as he sipped his beer and then set it down on the table next to the couch. He then sat back further into the couch, almost in a slouching position and stared at Jeannie waiting for her to reveal what the hell she wanted.

"Aren't you gonna go and get ready?" Jeannie asked

"I am ready"

"Don't you need to warm up?"

"Already did that"

"Are you really going to behave this way?"

"Yep" is all Steve replied and leant forward to grab his beer and take another sip. He wasn't bothered at all by what she was saying; he just wanted her to get the hell out of his dressing room.

"What's wrong?" Jeannie asked as she was about to sit down on the couch but the look on Steve's face told her to not even bother, she decided to stand up instead. When Steve didn't reply she just threw up her hands and said "Why are you doing this?"

"Why the hell did you walk back into my life?" Steve countered her question with another question leaving her stunned into silence, she stood there and tried to string a sentence together, "Because- I wanted-"

"Oh shut up" Steve said angrily leaving Jeannie silent once more, Steve stood up in front of her and said in his calmest voice "I ain't interested in any of your crap, I don't want to hear any of your excuses and I don't want you around me right now"

"But I'm-"

"You're my manager inside the ring" Steve clarified "Other than that; I don't want nothin' to do with you"

"But-"

"Nothin'" Steve said in a threatening voice that made Jeannie stare up at him surprised, what had happened to him these past few weeks? Was this because of his break up with Summer? He needed to stop being a baby!

"Is this about Summer?" Jeannie asked and Steve's head snapped up and he narrowed his eyes, "You dare mention her name"

"Come on Steve lighten up! She was only your girlfriend, she wasn't your wife so it wasn't that bad" Jeannie said coldly, going through a divorce was painful, she'd lost Steve and she'd lost the money, it was painful! She could see Steve turning red as he was getting angrier and angrier, he'd told her not to mention anything about personal issues and she'd just mentioned Summer... that was a big mistake.

"I've told you once" Steve said in a calm yet forceful voice, "And I'll tell you again, DO NOT mention her name!"

"Steve-"

"I told you don't! Just get the hell out of here! I don't need you tonight and I don't need you on any other day! So just get the hell out of here now!" Steve shouted so loud he surprised himself, Jeannie just looked at him with tears in her eyes and then she spun round and ran out the door in floods of tears. Steve just stared at the door and then threw his beer at it in complete frustration, nothing was right in his world and he didn't know what to do to get things back in order. "Dammit!" is all Steve shouted before storming into the bathroom to get himself ready for his segment with Summer and The Hardyz.

-

Summer was banging the mat cheering for Jeff who was lying on the mat after being kneed hard in the stomach by Hunter. It had been a fantastic match so far and Jeff really excelled himself by proving to Hunter that he can fight without having to go to extreme lengths to get the job done. Hunter had managed to keep him grounded but it didn't make a difference, Jeff could still fight and fight hard.

"Come on Jeff!" Summer shouted as she got the crowd behind her and they started clapping with her to get Jeff motivated to get up. Jeff soon rolled onto his side and started to beat up Hunter again, they were really going at it until it was time for Matt to distract the ref. Jeff managed to get the twist of fate and Hunter fell into place so Summer quickly climbed up to the top rope and hit the moonsault with the fans going completely crazy. She rolled off Hunter and slid out of the ring next to Matt and the ref turned around and counted Jeff to win. The fans went crazy as Jeff stood up and saluted the fans and danced around to his music, Matt and Summer came into the ring and celebrated with him. Then all 3 as planned started to kick and stomp on Hunter who was 'helpless' until it was time for Steve to make the save and run down. The fans started booing loudly meaning that Steve was running down the ramp, so all 3 siblings slid out of the ring and backed away up the ramp talking trash to Steve and Hunter who was acting really angry kicking at the ropes in frustration for getting beaten by Jeff and then attacked.

Summer couldn't help but stare at Steve, it was the first time she'd seen him properly in 5 weeks and he certainly looked angry. She knew he was supposed to act angry for this segment but she could tell he was angrier than he should be. Was this because of her? Or because of something else? Right now she had no idea but when he locked eyes with her she could see some of it melt away to reveal a lot of pain, he was hurting just like she was. But when he blinked it soon disappeared and he was back to being angry and pointing at her angrily and talking trash. Soon the Hardyz and Summer disappeared backstage and Steve's theme song started to signal that the segment was over. He walked up the ramp with Hunter and the crowds were booing loudly as they walked backstage to end the segment.

"You alright?" Matt asked Summer as soon as they were behind the curtain away from the crowds, "Yes I'm fine" Summer said as she held her ribs, it had been a few months since Wrestlemania but her ribs were still hurting, they were no longer black and blue but a faint yellow colour meaning they were almost healed. But because she kept doing stunts and being unorthodox like Jeff, she kept reinjuring them.

"Are you sure? Because you both couldn't keep your eyes off each other" Jeff said as he held his head due to Hunter's swift kicks to it.

"Oh please!" Summer said with a small laugh, "Don't start on that"

"I'm not starting anything" Jeff replied as he held his hands up "I'm just pointing out the obvious, he couldn't stop staring at you"

"Look we're not walking down this road so please don't start" Summer said as she put her hands on her hips, "It's a complicated situation and something I'm not ready to discuss"

"Okay we're sorry sis" Matt said as he hugged his sister, "We won't mention it again"

"But if you don't want to see him I suggest you go now" Jeff said but before Summer could even move Steve stepped through the curtain with Hunter by his side. He saw all 3 siblings standing nearby and his eyes went directly to Summer, he noticed straight away that she'd lost weight as her ribs were showing more, he frowned at that but had to tear his eyes away from her to go and cool down. He wanted desperately to go and talk to her, but he couldn't find the right words to say to make the situation better. He was still a confused mess inside and needed to take some time out to think and clear his head. It took a great deal of strength but he managed to pull himself away from her intoxicating spell to go and cool down.

Summer looked out the corner of her eye and watched him as he looked so confused about what to do, a small part of her wanted him to come over and talk to her to make things better, but the bigger part of her thought that was stupid. She wanted to keep as far away from him as possible so she could try to heal the wounds that he caused her to have. It was painful but it had to be done.

"Can we go now?" Summer asked as she was feeling uncomfortable knowing that Steve was not far away, "Yeah sis let's head out" Jeff said as he walked with his sister down the corridor so they could get ready to leave. Matt soon followed but he was still pissed off at Steve and wanted answers, so he stopped walking and when his younger siblings were out of site, he snuck away to go and find Steve.

-

Steve had just finished dressing when he heard knocking at his door, "Come in!" he barked and the door flew open to reveal Matt Hardy. He was pretty surprised as he watched Matt walk in and shut the door and then walk over to where Steve was. "What's up Matt?" Steve asked as he stared at the young man in front of him, Matt however just narrowed his eyes at him and said "You just don't get it do you?"

"Get what?"

"You don't get the damage you've caused to my little sister" Matt replied and Steve looked down at the floor feeling guilty, he knew that this was coming sooner or later, he'd have to have a talk with one or both brothers but tonight it was just one.

"She's completely devoted to you yet you let her slip away because of a psycho crazy ex wife"

"Watch it" Steve warned

"Watch it my ass!" Matt said hotly, "You don't get to defend that woman! She's not your wife anymore; get it through your unbelievably thick skull that she's not your responsibility anymore! Yeah she bared your children and all that but that's in the past and Summer was your future! Do you know how many times I've heard Summer say she can't wait to become a mother? All the times me and Jeff sat down and discussed how cool it would be to become uncles to your children and become family, Summer was even making plans for your wedding! She'd come up with all sorts of things and now that will never happen because you fucking screwed it all up!" Matt shouted as he stared at Steve who couldn't think of anything to say, Summer thought about things like that? She'd wanted to become a mom?

"It's pretty clear in my mind what you should do" Matt continued "But I know you want to be around your children I respect that, but all the times you've pushed Summer to the sidelines hurt her terribly, shredded her open deep inside and caused her so much pain she cried herself to sleep most nights. The amount of times me and Jeff have lost sleep because of waking up to Summer screaming from her nightmares is unbelievable. I've never seen my sister so happy and so different when she was with you, it was amazing to see her so happy but now it's all changed, you threw away a diamond to go back to a used rock" Matt said angrily and Steve continued to stare at the floor but Matt walked forward and said "Look at me dammit!" making Steve stare at him and he could see just how angry Matt was.

"I'm sorry" is all Steve could say, which made Matt even angrier, he shoved Steve who fell back onto the couch and looked up in surprise, "That's all you've got to say for yourself? You're sorry?! You've torn my sister's heart out of her chest and all you can say is you're sorry?! I'll show you what sorry is you son of a bitch!" Matt was about to go after Steve but a voice at the door stopped him, "I wouldn't do it kid" it was Mark, he'd heard somebody shouting so he decided to investigate, being the leader of the locker rooms he always sorted out any trouble between friends and work colleagues. He was pretty surprised to see Matt shouting at Steve and decided to step in before things got ugly.

"This doesn't concern you Mark" Matt said sternly as he glared at Mark who folded his arms and said "Walk away Matt, he ain't worth it" Matt looked Steve up and down and then said "You know what Mark? You're right... he isn't worth it" then Matt backed away from Steve to head towards the door, "Sort your shit out Steve and open your damn eyes to see what Jeannie really is... a psychotic no good bitch" then Matt left before Steve could retaliate.

But Steve remained seated from where Matt pushed him and just stared at the door, his mind swimming with thoughts. Matt had seriously shocked him by coming in and saying all that to him, it shocked him because it was the truth; he had hurt Summer more than words could say and it was entirely his fault. The damage had been done and now it would be difficult to put all of the pieces back together, he wanted his life back and he was going to fight hard to get it back.

"The fact that you're just sittin' there proves just how beat up you are son" Mark said as he looked down at Steve who was still sitting on the couch, he hadn't moved a muscle since Matt's harsh words.

Steve looked up at him and then said "Why is it that you're always around to make me feel worse about myself?"

"I had no idea I was doing that, but to be honest I'm glad I am" Mark replied as he folded his arms and watched Steve, that remark made him twitch with anger but he still remained seated... so Mark continued, "You're just gonna sit there? Not bother to hit me or call me an asshole?"

"Just get the hell out Mark" Steve replied making Mark frown and say "You know damn well that that ain't gonna work son, what's wrong? Lost your ball sac?" Mark knew that worked, Steve got up from the couch and went nose to nose with Mark who was smirking at him, "See there's the Steve that I know"

"What the fuck do you want from me Mark?" Steve asked angrily and Mark sniffed loudly and said "I want you to see what an asshole you've been for starters"

"What's that got to do with anything?"

"You need to see what an asshole you've been for throwing away such a good woman"

"I don't need this shit from you"

"Well too bad, you're getting it"

"Have you ever thought that maybe I need a friend?" Steve asked making Mark just look at him, "You ain't getting one out of me son, you fucked up and now you gotta pay for it on your own" Mark replied and then put his shades back on, "You got yourself into this mess son so you'll get yourself out"

"Fuck you" is all Steve said and then stormed into the bathroom and slammed the door leaving Mark standing there smirking, "Asshat" is all he said before leaving the room to leave Steve to stew in his own mistakes.

-

"Where the hell has he gone?" Summer asked Jeff but she knew the answer already, she'd seen the way Matt was looking at Steve and he'd wanted to say something to him for weeks. And tonight Matt had wandered off without an explanation and Summer knew deep down where he was, it made her angry that he would do something like that.

"Relax sis he'll be back soon"

"I know he's talking to Steve I just know it"

"So what if he is?" Jeff asked making Summer turn around and stare at him, Jeff just shrugged and said "He had it coming"

"Had what coming?"

"It was either gonna be me or Matt who spoke to Steve, and to be honest it was probably a good thing that it was Matt"

"Why?"

"Because if it was me I would kick his sorry ass"

"You wouldn't touch him" Summer replied as she narrowed her eyes at him, Jeff just stared at her and said "There would be nothing to stop me from doing that"

"Yes there would-"

"Summer don't you dare defend him!" Jeff said as he got up from the couch to stand in front of his sister, "Look at what that asshole's done to you! I've never seen you so down before, you don't think that this is hard on me and Matt? You don't think that we suffer along with you? I wake up in the middle of the night to console you when you're screaming from your nightmares, I try my damn hardest to cheer you up when you're crying and I'll hurt anybody who hurts you or brings you down. You're my baby sister Summer Grace Hardy and I'll do my best to protect you from anything" Jeff finished and could see Summer had tears rolling down her face, she wiped them away and whispered "I'm sorry" over and over again until Jeff pulled her into a hug to try and console her.

She snuggled into him and sniffed back more tears and just didn't know what to do anymore, everything that Jeff said was true, he'd been there through it all and she couldn't thank him enough. It had been difficult to get through the days and the nights were worst, she kept having nightmares about Steve and she always woke up screaming for him but he never came. It was Jeff who brought her back around and she cried into his arms most nights because she couldn't cope with what this was doing to her. Her emotions were all over the place and she was so confused about what to do, she hated Steve for doing this to her!

"Sums let's get back to the hotel and chill out" Jeff said as he held his sister back at arm's length, she looked up at him and nodded "Okay"

"Get your stuff and we'll head out" Jeff replied and Summer nodded and started gathering her things together to put his her bag. While she was doing that, Matt stormed into the room and slammed the door startling Summer who turned to face him, she saw how angry he was so she said "What did he do to you?"

"You should be more concerned about what I did to him" Matt replied as he took his t-shirt off and threw it into his bag, Summer raised an eyebrow at him and said "What did you do?"

"Nothing" Matt replied honestly, "Just had a little talk with him"

"About what?"

"Just gave him a few home truths about what he's done to you"

"What do you mean?"

"That bastard hurt you Summer! He deserved to be called an asshole and a waste of space" Matt replied and Summer winced and looked down at the floor, it was still a sensitive area and she still found it hard to hear people call him an asshole.

"I know you're hurting sis but you've gotta stay strong for us" Matt said as he stood in front of his sister and set his hands on top of her shoulders, "We'll help you through this and soon you'll be back to your old self"

"I'm trying Matt" Summer whispered and managed a weak smile, "I'm slowly getting back on my feet"

"That's all we ask" Jeff said as he hugged his sister from behind and kissed the top of her head. Summer smiled weakly again and knew that with the help and support from her brothers she'd get back on her feet, it would take a while but she knew she'd get there.
