Ana is an OC. Sarah is an OC.
Ana frantically searches for her crystal necklace.
"Nononono! Where is it? It has to be around here somewhere!"
Ana continues to throw her things around the girls dorm. She cries out in frustration as she reaches the bottom of her trunk.
"What's the matter Ana? Did you lose something?"
Ana turns to see Luna Lovegood standing at the doorway.
"My necklace. I somehow lost it and I can't find it," Ana tells her friend as she fights back tears.
"You mean the necklace with the amethyst and tiger's eye in the shape of yin-yang?" Luna asks, tilting her head slightly to the right.
"That's the one. My dad gave it to me when I got my Hogwarts letter. He said that it'll bring me good luck," Ana explains as she looks around the room.
"We can always ask around. Maybe someone saw it," Luna says.
"You're right. Let's go now," Ana says, standing up.
"Shouldn't you clean up first? The other girls might get angry with your mess," Luna says as Ana remembers that she's in the middle of said mess.
"You're right. It looks like a horde of pixies got set loose here," Ana says as she bends down and picks up her Transfiguration book.
"Do you need any help?" Luna asks.
"No. I made the mess, I can clean it up. How much longer do we have until dinner?" Ana asks Luna as she starts placing her books back into her suitcase.
"About an hour. Anyways, I should go. There is this book that I wanted to read some of before dinner," Luna says as she turns to leave. "Good luck finding your necklace."
"Thanks Luna. I'll see you at dinner," Ana says as Luna waves goodbye.
Luna leaves the room as Ana continues to clean up. She places her clothing on her bed, so that she can refold it before placing it back in the chest. It doesn't take long for Ana to place everything in her chest. Sighing, she flops on her bed, burying her head into her fluffy pillow.
"I am such an idiot! How could I lose it? Dad'll be disappointed in me. It's only been two weeks since I got it and I've already lost it! Why does this always happen to me?"
"Maybe because you check the obvious places last?" a voice from the door tells Ana.
Ana looks over to see Sarah standing there. Her blonde hair is up in the usual dutch braid. Sarah walks over and sits on the edge of Ana's bed.
"Hey Sarah. I see that you put some blue highlights in your hair," Ana says.
"Yup! Riley helped me do them. You like it?"
"It's very your style," Ana tells her truthfully.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Well, do you want some blue highlights?"
"I don't really think it would work out well. My hair has been known to be stubborn. I tried putting some magnets highlights in over the summer. They were gone in an hour," Ana tells Sarah.
"Huh. Maybe your lucky necklace could help you out," Sarah says cheerfully.
"Yeah no. It won't do any good," Ana huffs out.
"Why's that?"
"I can't find it. I've looked everywhere!"
"Did you check in your pillow case?" Sarah asks.
"What?! Why would I place it there?"
"Didn't you tell me that you place it there when you sleep at night? Or maybe that was Molly with her love letters," Sarah mutters as Ana rolls her eyes.
"Fine. I'll check. It's not like...I'll...what?!" Ana's eyes widen as she removes her necklace. "But...when?"
"I knew it! Anyways, put it on and let's go get some food. I'm starving," Sarah says as she gets off of Ana's bed.
A small smile grace's her lips as she places her beloved necklace on. Ana listens to Sarah as she talks about the latest gossip. Maybe it wasn't her necklace that gave her luck. Maybe it was her friendship with her overly positive friend.
