Summer waited outside Steve's door and then wrapped her arms around herself, she only realised now that she was only wearing her blue shorts and black vest top, she'd tied her hair up and was pretty much ready for bed. She didn't really have any intentions of this happening tonight but things always changed in her world. She was starting to wonder whether he was actually in there but soon the door opened to reveal Steve, he was wearing his grey shorts and white t-shirt and he too looked like he was ready for bed.

He stared at Summer completely dumbfounded for a while, he couldn't believe she was standing there. He drank in her features and soon looked in her beautiful blue eyes; she blinked a few times and then finally found her voice, "I don't know why I'm here"

"Okay... well I'll leave the door open for you if you decide to come in" Steve replied and then did as he said; he walked away and left the door open for Summer if she decided to come in. Steve carried on sorting out his clothes in his bag but occasionally checking on Summer from the corner of his eye, she hadn't moved from the door and looked completely lost. But eventually she found use of her legs and slowly walked into the room and then shut the door. She leant against it and then just looked at Steve, this was difficult for both of them and neither knew what to say.

Steve eventually found his voice and said "You alright?"

"No" Summer replied, "You?"

"No" Steve replied and Summer looked at him, the surprise obvious on her face because Steve said "What? Did you think I'd be happy? That I'd be out laughing and joking not thinking about ya?"

"Steve I didn't come here to argue" Summer said softly as she walked a little closer to him, she still wanted to keep her distance but she didn't want him to think that she'd cut him off completely.

"I don't want to argue either" Steve said softly and then motioned for Summer to sit down, she sat on the bed and Steve sat down next to her. She felt a little bit uncomfortable being so close to him again, but once she smelt his aftershave she started to relax a little bit remembering that he was a good man.

"So" Summer said and then looked at Steve who looked as lost as she did, "So" he repeated and they both laughed a little bit, it was awkward but at the same time good to be in each other's company again.

"How've you been then?" Steve asked and Summer looked at him and answered honestly, "Living in hell, how have you been?"

"Pretty much the same darlin" Steve replied and looked at Summer who again, looked surprised, "Why so surprised honey?"

"I don't know, I kinda figured that you'd do as I said and get back together with Jeannie" Summer replied and frowned at her own words, Steve shook his head and said "Honey I would never ever do that"

"But you said-"

"I know what I said, I know it was a difficult situation but when you threw your engagement ring at me and left me I knew right away that I'd made a huge mistake, I don't belong with Jeannie"

"So why the hell is she still here?" Summer asked irritably

"I'm working on getting rid of her"

"Do it faster"

"It's not that easy" Steve replied, "I've gotta force Vince into terminating her contract"

"Haven't you told him what's happened?"

"I mentioned it and he was shocked, but again he said it was all about business and that she was good for my persona"

"That's bollocks and you know it" Summer replied

"I'll sort it sweetheart, I'll sort it all out" Steve replied and then reached out to take Summer's hand, he squeezed it but Summer pulled away and stood up and started pacing, "Why are you making this sound so easy?"

"I'm not-"

"You hurt me Steve, cut me open and left me bleeding because you were confused about a stupid ex wife" Summer said and glared at Summer who had guilt written all over him, "These past 6 weeks have been the worst of my life and it was all your fault, I can't believe you let her come between us"

"You're the one that left me" Steve shot back at her and Summer just laughed and said "You're blaming me for this? I left you because you said you 'needed time to think things through'" Summer replied mocking Steve's voice making him frown but she continued, "If you loved me as much as you said you did you wouldn't have thought twice about another woman, especially an ex wife!"

"You don't have to guilt trip me darlin, there are plenty of people who have already and are still doing that"

"Oh yeah like who?"

"Your brothers for starters" Steve replied, "Then there's Shawn, Hunter, RVD, Mark, Glen and plenty of others who love and adore you" Summer fell silent and just looked at Steve, he'd really been put through hell by a lot of people so Summer eased off him a little bit, but still felt angry.

"You've got every right to be angry with me darlin and I don't blame you, I've been a complete jackass but I want to make things right, but I don't know how"

"I don't have the answers for you Steve, you've gotta figure this out by yourself" Summer said and Steve just looked at her, he stood up and walked towards her but Summer stepped back. She didn't want to be touched by him because she knew that if he touched her, she'd cave and give in to him and she'd lose the battle.

"Why are you doing this?" Steve asked as he noticed Summer shutting down right before his eyes, "Because I don't want to give in to you"

"But we can sort this out; we can work on this and get back together"

"I want that to Steve"

"So what's the problem? We both still love each other; I can see it in your eyes that you love me so why defy me?"

"Because you hurt me too much, I don't think I can forgive you just yet"

"We can work on this Summer" Steve replied, he didn't want to come across as desperate and needy but he wanted Summer back to make things right. Nothing was right in his world when Summer wasn't in it.

"Just give me some more time Steve" Summer replied, "I just need to think about all of this"

"Okay"

"And I need you to prove to me that Jeannie means nothing to you, can you do that?" Summer asked and noticed that Steve looked a little bit uncertain about that, but he nodded and said "I can do that"

"Are you sure? Because you don't exactly look confident about it"

"It won't be easy but I'll try"

"It won't be easy?" Summer repeated his words, "What won't be easy about it? If she means nothing to you then you should be able to get rid of her easily enough"

"She doesn't mean a damn thing to me, but I've gotta think about other things"

"Like what?"

"My girls for starters, if I don't handle this correctly she'll stop all contact with my girls and I'll never be able to see them again"

"But she shouldn't be dangling them in front of you like a piece of forbidden fruit!" Summer said angrily, "You can handle this correctly, I don't know maybe go to court and fight for custody of them, but prove to me that she means nothing to you and then we can start to work things out" Summer said and made damn sure she didn't back down against him, she wanted him to prove his love for her and he had to do that by getting rid of Jeannie. She needed to be out of their lives for good so that they could move on with their lives.

"I'll do my best to sort it out honey" Steve replied softly as he stared at the woman he adored, he'd missed her so much it hurt and he wanted to touch her. But he knew that Summer had just given him an ultimatum, get rid of Jeannie or Summer would walk away for good. He knew what he needed to do; he just had to get his ass moving in order to get the job done.

Summer just looked at him and could see just how much he was hurting, she felt bad for doing this but she wanted him to prove that he was strong enough to get rid of Jeannie. She put her hands on her hips and just didn't know what to do, she wanted to leave because she was tired but then again, she didn't want to leave him because she'd missed him. Hunter was right about one thing though, she definitely felt better now that she'd spoken to him. Now that she knew Steve was on the same page as her, they could slowly start to get things back on track and get back together.

"I love you honey" Steve said as he broke the silence between them, he saw the look on Summer's face and she looked like she was going to cry. But she took a deep breath to try and calm down but it was no use, a tear slipped down her cheek and she brushed it away and tried to stop herself from crying. "I love you too... stubborn ass" Summer squeaked out and wiped her eyes again, Steve stepped closer to test the waters and when she didn't move away he walked closer until he was standing in front of her. So he slowly reached out and pulled her into his arms, at first she didn't move but soon she wrapped her arms around him and started crying once more.

"I'm sorry baby" Steve murmured against her hair, "So so sorry" then he kissed her head and held her as she cried. Summer felt happy to be back in his arms again but they still had a long long way to go before they could get back together. The main thing Summer needed to do was figure out how she felt about Mark, did she have feelings for him? Or was it just lust? She really didn't know and she needed time to figure it all out.

"We'll figure it out" Steve said softly against her ear, "We'll figure it out and we'll get there" then he held her tightly and smiled when he felt Summer hug him back, she wanted to believe him but if he didn't prove himself then there was definitely no hope for them.

-

"What the hell is taking her so long?" Hunter asked Matt and Jeff who shrugged and Jeff said "She's a woman, she's always late" and Hunter just laughed and said "Yeah that's true" and then grabbed Jeff and said "But you're never late"

"Oh come on man I thought this was over"

"We'll never be over babe"

"Oh great" Jeff replied sarcastically making Hunter laugh as he draped his arm around Jeff's shoulders making him sigh loudly, he knew he wouldn't get away from Hunter so he decided to just let it happen.

Most of the Raw and Smackdown roster were waiting in the hotel lobby to head out to the WWF party, the limos would arrive to take them to the venue where they'd eat, drink and dance the night away. But Matt and Jeff were waiting on their baby sister who was running late as per usual, they knew she was nervous but they didn't know she'd be running so late.

"Maybe you should call her" Shawn suggested as he readjusted his bowtie, a lot of the superstars were all dressed up in 3 piece suits and they looked pretty damn smart. The divas were dressed up as well, some of them went over the top but Amy had done is properly by wearing a beautiful baby pink knee length gown with her hair curled and styled.

"She'll be here don't worry" Jeff said as he tried to shuffle away from Hunter who pulled him back and said "Nuh-uh you ain't moving"

"Damn" Jeff said miserably

"Don't worry about Summer" came Steve's voice making the guys look at him, "She's always running late"

"A lot of experience?" Shawn asked with a small smile making Steve smile and say "Yep, I've lost count the amount of times that little lady has made me wait on her for dates" Summer was always late for things, it didn't matter whether it was for a meeting or for a romantic date, she was always late.

-

Summer was standing in front of the mirror looking at herself, quite surprised how different she looked all dressed up. Normally she was in baggy pants and different coloured t-shirts, but tonight she was dressed up in a silver halter neck dress. It was way above her knees and totally exposed her back, with the halter neck being made of silver studs which she'd clipped together behind her neck. She was wearing her matching silver Jimmy Choo heels which added 4 inches to her height, they meant a lot to her because it was Steve who'd brought them for her. Her hair was curled and she'd pinned it up but left a few tendrils to hang down by her face. Amy had helped her with her make-up so she was wearing smoky eye shadow and a lot of eyeliner; she looked completely different to the Summer that wrestled inside the ring!

"I can't do this" Summer squeaked out as she turned around in the mirror to look at herself from behind, her back was completely exposed and she felt strange not wearing a bra. Of course she'd used some tape to make sure she didn't pop out of her dress but she still felt uncomfortable. It wasn't her usual style to dress up like this; she didn't want people to think she was on the rebound and trying to get laid. Having spoken to Steve last night, she felt like they were making progress with getting things back on track. As long as Steve proved to her that Jeannie meant nothing to him then they could start things back up. But Summer knew she wasn't innocent, she had a guilty conscience as well due to her kissing Mark. They'd both done wrong and needed to sort out their own lives before they could make a start on a life together.

Summer took a deep breath to calm herself down, she needed to make a move because she was running late and she needed to meet the guys to head out to the party. So she walked around the room making sure she had everything in her purse before heading out the door to go and meet everybody. She locked the door and slowly started to walk down the corridor trying not to trip and fall on her ass... carpet and heels did not mix well!

She headed into the elevator and it took her down to the ground floor where everybody was waiting, her stomach was filled with butterflies and she was extremely nervous. But she had to calm down because she didn't want to start sweating all over her dress, otherwise she'd look a complete mess and her make-up would start running. So she sucked it up and waited for the doors to open before stepping out into the foyer. She heard the babble of voices so she followed them slowly, her heels clicking on the marble floors. She spotted her group and walked towards them.

-

Steve was waiting nervously with everybody else in the hotel foyer, he was nervous about seeing Summer and mostly excited about what she was wearing. She looked pretty amazing in anything she wore but tonight he knew she'd look stunning, and he was waiting patiently for her arrival. None of the others knew that they'd spoken last night; nobody else knew that they were going to try and work things out and he wanted to keep it that way. He had a long way to go before he could earn her trust again, and it would be difficult to prove to her that Jeannie meant nothing to him. Of course he didn't love her anymore and he never ever would, but it would be difficult getting rid of her without him being hurt. She'd go to great lengths to make Steve suffer and he knew that she'd use the kids to her advantage, as painful as it would be though he'd make sure that he'd get Jeannie out of his life for good.

Steve was interrupted from his thoughts when he heard whistles and catcalls coming from a lot of the guys, what was going on?

"What's happening? Somebody arrived?" Hunter said as he stood on his tiptoes, using Jeff as an extra height advantage, "Hey!" Jeff protested as Hunter had one hand on his hair and was messing it up, "Watch the hair man!"

"Sorry baby" Hunter replied and then tried to kiss Jeff but he managed to escape with Hunter laughing at him.

"Jackass" Jeff muttered as he shrugged his blazer back on properly, much to the amusement of everybody else.

"Wow" Billy Gunn said making everybody turn to see what or who he was staring at, and what they saw surprised them... it was Summer walking towards them and she looked stunning. Steve thought his jaw would hit the floor he was that shocked, she looked amazing! He looked her up and down a few times and just couldn't find the words to say to describe her, she looked that damn good!

Summer walked slowly towards the gang and started laughing when the guys started catcalling and whistling at her, "Damn!" is all Farooq said which made her laugh harder. She was starting to blush and felt like running away, she wasn't used to all of these compliments!

"Hi" she said once she reached the guys who were all stunned into silence, even her brothers struggled to find the words to string a sentence together.

"Am I that bad?" She asked amused, as all of them were just staring at her, including Steve who just couldn't stop staring at her.

"Come on guys! Talk to me" Summer said and couldn't help but laugh nervously, eventually Shawn cleared his throat and said "I'll be the first to say it, Summer you look beautiful" then he kissed her hand like a gentleman making her blush and stare down at the floor. And soon after that, all of the guys came forward and hugged and complimented her until her cheeks were rosy and she felt a little harassed. But the only person who hadn't come forward was Steve; it didn't really bother her though, because they had to pretend not to be talking to each other. They'd worked out some of their differences but they didn't want any of the guys to know because they'd bombard them with questions and force them back together. So they remained cool about it and just kept it on mutual ground.

"The limos are here" Hunter said to the gang so they started to head out with the others to get ready to party.

"You're staying with me babe" Hunter said and grabbed Jeff who frowned and said "I couldn't find a date tonight but ended up with one anyway"

"That actually sounded like a compliment" Hunter said surprised

"It wasn't meant to be"

"I'm still gonna take it" Jeff rolled his eyes and followed everybody else out the door, whilst trying to push and shove Hunter away from him.

"I hardly recognised you for a moment" Summer heard someone say beside her and she turned to see Mark, she had to stop walking because she was so surprised to see him... and he was dressed in a tux! The Undertaker was dressed in a tux!

"I told you I don't like being stared at kiddo" Mark said as he noticed Summer was staring wide eyed at him, but she shook her head and said "Sorry"

"That's alright"

"I'm just surprised that's all, but you look good Mark I like it"

"Thank you"

"You should wear shirts more often"

"I'll try" Mark replied and then smiled which surprised Summer once more, he only ever smirked so smiling was once again, a rarity!

"And you look stunning tonight" Mark said as he looked her up and down making it obvious, Summer laughed but said "Thank you"

"Shall we head out?"

"Are you in our limo?"

"Yeah me and Glen got the last 2 seats" Mark replied making Summer smile again, but she felt nervous about it though because now Mark and Steve would be in the limo... of course they wouldn't think it because they didn't know, but Summer would feel very uncomfortable!

"Let's go" Mark said and then held out his arm like a gentleman making Summer smile as she accepted it and they walked towards the limo together. It was going to be an interesting evening!

-

The food had been exquisite and there had been a few speeches from some of the WWF directors and Vince himself, but soon after that the party was in full swing. The music was loud and the drinks were poured for all who wanted them. The rowdiest table was the one which Summer was sat at, all of the guys were drinking beer and then Jeff broke out the shots and very soon everybody was drunk. It hadn't taken Summer long to get tipsy because she rarely drank, so after a few margaritas she was feeling pretty unsteady on her feet. And once Jeff started on the shots she knew she was doomed, after downing her 5th one she knew she needed to slow down.

But then she thought to herself, why should I? Why did she have to stop? If she wanted to drink then she could drink!

"Another one?" Jeff asked as he pushed a shot across the table towards Summer who just stared at him, "Jeffery Nero Hardy are you trying to get me drunk?"

"Would- would your big brother do that to you?" Jeff slurred making Summer laugh and say "Of course not, because- because you're a good guy"

"I am a good guy" Jeff slurred back and they both started laughing and just couldn't stop, it felt pretty damn good to get pissed with her brother!

"Come on we gotta do it" Jeff eventually said as he scooted closer to Summer who was starting to feel like the world was spinning. But she slowly picked up the shot glass and winced because she knew she'd be done for once the liquor hit her system, Jeff picked his up and said "To being... erm... to being extreme!" then they both downed their shots and winced as it burned down their throats. Summer coughed and said "No more"

"But we have to drink more" Jeff slurred as he put his arm around her, "It's bad for us if we stop"

"Why- why is it so bad?" Summer slurred back and Jeff just stared at her, then they both started laughing again.

"Come on Summer you haven't danced once!" Hunter shouted as he stumbled back to the table with Shawn who was giggling like a school girl.

"I can't- I can't dance" Summer said through giggles, "Not with my two right feet"

"Don't you mean left?" Hunter asked

"Left what?" Summer asked confused

"Never mind, come on let's go!" Then he pulled Summer up and dragged her and then Jeff towards the dance floor. "We can dance together!" Hunter slurred to Jeff who laughed and said "That's if you can keep up with me, I'm a good dancer"

"You'll have to try and beat my moves" Hunter slurred back as he walked through to the throng of superstars back to the spot where Matt was dancing with Amy, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. They cheered when more of the guys joined them and they danced like crazy people to the thumping dance number.

-

Steve was sat on the upper deck of the venue watching everybody having a good time, so far he'd had a brilliant time himself, but he wasn't that big of a dancer and it was that time of the evening when the dancing started. He had a pretty good view of the mad lot and could see Jeff laughing with Summer and coaxing her into having another shot. He didn't know how many she'd had but it looked like enough to turn her into a giggling mess. But she still looked dropped dead gorgeous in that dress, he'd had a hard time controlling his urges when she walked into the hotel foyer. He'd never seen her dressed up like that; especially with so much make-up... it really suited her!

"Not dancin'?" Somebody shouted in his ear and he laughed when he saw it was Mark, he sat down in one of the chairs next to Steve and took another swig of his beer. Everybody in the venue had been drinking and the atmosphere was positive and full of laughter.

"I don't dance man" Steve replied and took a sip of his beer, he'd had quite a few and felt pretty mellow but wanted to keep it under control, mostly to keep an eye on Summer as he watched her take another shot. He frowned but when he saw how happy she was he decided to let it slide, she'd definitely suffer in the morning though.

"Not even with the ladies?" Mark asked, "They're lookin' good"

"Can't argue with that"

"Especially that crazy one there" Mark pointed to Summer who was currently being pulled onto the dance floor by Hunter and Shawn. She looked happy yet he could tell she was completely wasted, she was such a lightweight!

"At least she's finally happy" Steve said as he took a swig of his beer and watched Summer dance with the gang, she really knew how to move that was for sure. It was nice to see her so happy after being so miserable these past few months, he knew it was his fault but he wanted to fix things. They'd taken some baby steps last night towards making things right and he felt a little bit better about it all, but he knew there was still a long way to go.

"She deserves to be happy" Mark said loudly towards Steve who looked at him, "Tonight was what she needed"

"I'll drink to that" Steve replied and took a long swig of his beer and felt a bit more relaxed, he turned to look at Mark and he was a little concerned about the way he was watching Summer. His eyes hadn't left her once and Steve knew that look well, he knew the look on a man's face when he felt lust because he had the same look on his face. Had something happened between him and Summer?

Mark noticed Steve staring at him and he looked away guiltily, he'd been caught staring at Summer and he knew that Steve could see the lust in his eyes. Summer looked amazing tonight and he was fighting the urge to go down onto the dance floor and take her right there and then.

"I'm gonna get another beer" Mark said quickly and got up to go downstairs to get another beer leaving Steve staring after him, what was that about? What was he so guilty of? Steve thought about it but the drink was making his brain fuzzy, so he decided to let it slide for tonight and continue to have a good time.

-

"Chug it Summer come on!" Hunter shouted as Summer was quickly downing her drink, once she'd finished it she had to flip the cup over and then they'd win the game. But she was that unsteady on her feet she was finding it difficult, but with Hunter and the others cheering her on she'd managed to flip it over and they won the game. She cheered loudly and laughed when Hunter hugged her along with Shawn, Matt, Jeff and Billy Gunn to celebrate the win. They'd decided to play some games to make the night better and Summer had been taught how to play flip cup and was pretty good at it, even when completely wasted. She couldn't remember how much she'd drank but she didn't care, she'd felt amazing and she didn't want it to end.

"Come on sis pourrrrrrrrrr another drink!" Jeff shouted in Summer's ear but she shook her head, and then had to quickly stop before saying "No- No more I can't- I can't do it"

"You can- you can do it!" Hunter said trying to encourage her but she shook her head again and said "No you carry on- carry on without me" then she tried to walk steadily towards the bar to get another drink, she wanted to take her heels off but she couldn't afford to lose them. She made it to the bar and held onto it but before she could say what she wanted somebody beat her to it, "Water" she turned and saw Steve standing next to her, she frowned at him and said "No"

"Summer so help me you are drinking some water"

"You can't- you can't- erm..." Summer trailed off and starting laughing but Steve wasn't impressed, she'd drank way too much tonight and needed some water to try and sober you.

"Summer I will make you drink some water, don't think I won't make you" Steve said sternly making Summer stop laughing and just stare at him, then she narrowed her eyes and said "Why should I?"

"Because you've drank way too much and need to calm down"

"Since when do- do you care about what I do?" Summer slurred

"Dammit Summer don't play this game with me" Steve replied sternly as he slid the glass of water towards her, Summer frowned at him and said "Okayyy Mr Bossy" then she giggled as she picked up the glass and took a few small sips, "Drink it all" Steve said making Summer role her eyes and then she downed the rest of the glass.

She set it back down on the bar and looked at Steve, "Another one"

"I can't drink anymore I feel sick already" Summer slurred back at him, "Okay I'll let you off for now but no more alcohol"

"That's not fair, you big meanie pants" Summer said and laughed at herself, but she stumbled and gripped the bar to get her balance back, she smiled at Steve who was smirking but trying to keep it together.

"I mean it Summer, no more alcohol"

"It's nothing to do with you" Summer replied, "I'm a single woman I can do anything I want to" Steve winced at that and he could feel the sting of her words, but he kept his cool and said "Summer do not start with me"

"How's Jeannie?" Summer slurred with sarcasm in her voice "I'm surprised you didn't bring her"

"Do not go down this road Summer" Steve replied sternly, alcohol was making her brave and she was testing the waters to see how far she could push him, Summer just laughed and said "See? We're not even together and you're still defending her"

"I'm not having this conversation while you're drunk like this"

"There's nothing wrong with me" Summer slurred and tried to stand up straight, she squared her shoulders and said again "There's nothing wrong with me" which made Steve raise his eyebrows and say "Don't lie to me"

"I ain't lying" Summer replied, "Every time I mention her you go on the defensive and it annoys me"

"I'm not defending her, she's not here because I barred her from the building and took her off the guest list, I don't know where she is and quite frankly I don't care" Steve replied and Summer just looked at him surprised, he'd gone as far as barring her from the building? That was a good step in the right direction, but then she thought that he shouldn't have to go to great lengths like that, she should just accept the fact that Steve moved on and found someone new.

"I have to pee" is all Summer said and then stumbled her way through the crowds towards the toilets, she thought she'd managed to get away from Steve but somebody was holding her elbow and she turned to see it was Steve. She tried to struggle out of his grip but she stumbled and nearly fell down, "Let go" is all she said but Steve helped her back up and saw that she was completely out of it, he'd never seen her like this before and didn't like it at all.

"Summer let me take you back to the hotel"

"No" is all she said and tried to fight out of his grip but he wouldn't let go, she wanted to put up a fight but she didn't want to cause a scene and embarrass herself or the company. So she said "I'll go back to the hotel but I'll go on my own"

"Like hell you will" Steve replied, "You're in no fit shape to go anywhere by yourself"

"Steve-"

"Summer" Steve cut in and just looked at her, he could tell she was dead on her feet but was too stubborn to admit it, but she looked at him and said "Just let me go"

"No"

"Just let me-" Summer started but the room was starting to spin and she could feel it slipping away, "Uh-oh" is all she said before she felt herself tumbling to the floor.

"Oh crap" is all Steve said and caught her before she fell; she'd completely passed out on him so he carried her towards the exit to take her back to the hotel.

-

Summer had been going in and out of consciousness and didn't know what was going on or where she was or who she was with. She knew she was being carried somewhere but she didn't know who it was or where they were taking her. So she tried to struggle free but she heard someone say "Steady darlin I've got you"

"What?" Summer murmured but had to keep her mouth closed because she felt so sick, "Stop struggling, I've got you" Steve said softly as he was carrying her into the hotel towards the elevators, he didn't know her room number so he thought it was best to take her to his room so she could sleep it off. But she kept struggling in his arms so he set her down in the elevator and she stumbled back to hold onto the railing.

She looked at him and said "It's you"

"Yeah it's me"

"Why are you here?"

"Helping you"

"Where's everybody else?"

"Still at the party"

"So why did we have to leave?" Summer replied as she put a hand on her forehead and tried to breathe in and out slowly to stop the nausea, Steve could see that she was struggling and said "I took you away because you've drank way too much"

"No I haven't" Summer tried to defend herself but Steve just looked at her and said "Don't lie to me honey"

"I'm not I'm okay"

"Alright then" Steve replied as the elevator doors pinged open and he stepped out, "If you're okay, show me where your room is"

"Alright" Summer replied as she stood up straight and tried to remember where the hell she was staying, she stepped away from the railing to test her balance and when she managed to stay up right she started to walk out of the elevator. But she couldn't remember which way to go but she decided to take a chance and walk down the corridor, unfortunately she stumbled and nearly went flying until Steve caught her.

"See you're not fine"

"I am too" Summer slurred but was scooped up by Steve who carried her towards his room, he struggled to open the door with her in his arms but he managed it and kicked it open with his foot. He walked inside and gently placed her on the bed and he noticed she was passed out again, so he left her and walked over to the door and was about to close it but Jeannie was stood there. He stopped dead in his tracks and just stared at her, where the hell did she come from?

"What do you want?" he asked irritated, he didn't need to put up with her while dealing with an intoxicated Summer who was still passed out on his bed.

"I've been looking for you" Jeannie replied, "Where have you been? Why are you all dressed up?"

"It's none of your business" Steve replied, "I told you we were all going out"

"Oh yeah that's right, to the party that you barred me from" Jeannie replied as she narrowed her eyes at Steve who just looked at her, "I did that for a reason"

"And what reason was that?"

"To make it clear to you that I don't want anything to do with you"

"Don't be like this Steve" Jeannie tried to be the voice of reason but Steve glared at her and said "You just don't get it"

"What?"

"Just stay the hell out of my life!" Steve shouted loudly, he didn't care if it was the early hours of the morning, most of this floor was taken up by the WWF superstars anyway, but he had to shout to get his point across.

"Why are you being like this?" Jeannie cried, "I hate it when you drink because you end up like this"

"Stop telling me how to live my life" Steve replied, "Just take the girls back to England and stay the hell out of my life"

"You don't mean that" Jeannie whispered, "You don't mean that at all"

"I want you to understand that I want nothing to do with you anymore, why won't you listen to me?"

"Because I know you don't mean it, you don't want Summer, you want to be with me"

"How many times do I have to prove that she means more to me than you ever did?" Steve asked and Jeannie winced and felt tears forming, why wouldn't he listen to her about Summer? She was no good for him!

"I don't know how many times I have to tell you Jeannie but it's getting on my nerves"

"What do I have to do to prove my love to you?" Jeannie cried

"Listen to me for once and stay the hell away from me!"

"You know I can't do that!"

"Why the hell not?!" Steve asked angrily

"Because I need you!" Jeannie cried

"Why?!"

"Because the girls need you! I'm fed up of them constantly moaning at me saying how much they need and want their dad!"

"You took them away from me! You had no right to come here and use them against me saying they need me; it was your own fault! I told you this before you took them away, I told you they'd need me but you didn't listen!" Steve shouted and Jeannie just looked at him and didn't have anything else to say, Steve saw this and said "Just take your shit and get out of my life for good"

"But-"

"If it comes to it I will fight for custody of the girls because I'll have plenty witnesses to prove that you are seriously unstable" Steve replied and Jeannie just stared at him, she didn't know he'd go that far and it shocked me completely.

But then she remembered that she was still part of the business and said "You can't get rid of me, I'm still contracted to be your manager"

"Oh don't worry that will change" Steve threatened, "You seem to forget what power I possess" That made Jeannie back down and just look at him, she knew she didn't have anything else left to say so she marched off down the corridor leaving Steve smirking. Hopefully tonight he'd finally made his point and she'd soon get the hell out of his life for good.

With that being said he shut the door and turned around and looked at Summer who was still passed out on the bed. "Now what am I gonna do with you, you crazy girl?"
