ItsYaBoi325: Ethan! Also, I think Luke is too old for Rose... I mean he's six years older so... yeah... But I'm glad you like the story!
Blackjackkk12: I'll try to make them a little longer, but with school they might only be about 100 words longer, which might get better in the future. Also, she had lived with Luke for five years, and he became a kind of big brother to her, she also hates Poseidon... so... cool! And here is your chapter!

Let's get on with chapter, enough of my rambling.
Ethan smiled and I walked over, I shook hands with him saying, "Let's show our parents whose boss."
That was just my first meeting with the new boy known as Ethan. That night, I couldn't sleep, so I took a walk around the boat. When I reached the front, I sat down by the pool and let the crisp night air sting my face.
"You okay?" I turned around and person, but it was too dark to see who, I guessed it was Ethan, as it wasn't Luke's voice.
I sighed, "Yeah, just dreading what I'm going to have to do this spring."
"What is that?"
"One of my best friends was dying, so her father, Zeus, turned her into a tree. We need the Golden Fleece, and Luke found a poisen that..."
Ethan nodded, showing he understood. So I continued, "I found last year that I can turn into animals, so I'm going to turn into a black cat and inject the poisen, then run away. Knowing Thaila's tree in the protection, they will go on a quest to get the fleece, and save her. It's just hurting her that I can't wrap my head around."
I looked over and Ethan was looking at his hands, fidgeting. Then, he nodded again and then said, "I wish I could help."
"You have, joining us is a major help, we need more people. The monsters give us bulk, but we need brains."
Ethan laughed at that, it was pure and rang through the air like a bird's song. It was beautiful.
After our midnight talk, we started to spend more time together. They were some of the best times of my life. We would play some board games that were on the ship, we would play in the pool, or do anything really.
Luke seemed to notice, I could see him smile when we would be splashing each other like five year olds, or when one of us would get mad when we lost a game. Before I knew it, spring was here, and we were sailing back up to New York. Ethan and I were sitting on the side of pool, we had just seen who could hold their breath's the longest, which I found slightly unfair.
Once Ethan caught his breath he asked, "Alright, who's your godly parent?"
"Poseidon," I murmured, then asked louder, "What about you?"
Ethan hesitated for a minutes then answered, "Nemesis." I nodded then looked over at my friend, then he laughed nervously, "I guess that explains why you could hold your breath for so long."
"Yeah, that also means I can do this," I made a bubble of water and let it fall over his head. He gasped and jumped up. I laughed and got up beside him.
"What was that for!" He yelled.
I pretended to look innocent, "I don't know what you mean." I smiled as Ethan jogged off to get a towel. Then we got to our destination.
"You ready, Rose?" Luke called from somewhere off on the ship.
I sighed, it was now or never, "Yeah, just get the poisen ready, then I'll get to her tree."
Luke came over with a syringe in his hand. I focused on the fluffy black tail and pointy ears of the cat I wanted. The right before I turned into the cat, I pictured bright green eyes and a rose pink nose. Then I opened my eyes and saw fluffy black paws instead of tanned hands.
I looked up and Luke gave me the syringe, I made sure to keep my mouth well away from the opening as I jumped down and headed off into the wood.
Every shuffle of leaves or breaking of stick made me jump, then I saw sunlight filtering through the darkness. And I saw the tree that I saw every morning on my way to breakfast, Thalia's tree. I took a deep breath and dug the thin piece of meatal deep in the bark, then pushed down on the plastic part.
Then I tugged the syringe out of the wood and sprinted as fast as my short cat legs could carry me. I flew back onto the ship and collapsed on the cool wood. I turned back to human I took a deep breath. Ethan came over and handed my a water bottle.
"Thanks," I sighed. he offered a small smile and I leaned against him. I closed my eyes and tried to stay awake, that was the fastest I had run for that distance. I should feel good, I just broke my record, but all I felt was guilt.
I heard Luke sit down next to me and pull the tube out of my hand. I realized I was holding it so hard that my hand hurt. "You okay?"
"Yeah," I breathed, Ethan was a nice pillow, he was warm and his clothes were still a little damp. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up with a start in my bed.
My shoes were by the bed next to me and there was a plate with pancakes and scrambles eggs on my bed side table. I blinked the blurriness from my eyes and stretched. I felt much better after that, I padded out of my room and found Ethan in the library reading a book in Ancient Greek.
He looked up when I shut the door behind me, he smiled and patted the couch beside him. "You're sure you're okay, you passed out on the deck out there."
"Yeah, sorry about that, I haven't run that fast ever, and I didn't sleep well the night before."
He put his book down and I sat down, "It was awesome how you can become animals."
I looked over and Ethan seemed nervous, I smiled and asked, "What's your favorite?"
"My favorite animal... probably a koala, they are so cute and fluffy, what isn't to love?"
I laughed, then focused on the gray furred marsupial. The next thing I knew I heard Ethan gasp. I looked up and saw Ethan basically melt. I crawled into his lap and he pet my head. It was a weird sensation, but pleasant. "You're adorable!" I just nuzzled him response. Then I went over to my spot and turned back to human.
"How do you do that?" he asked,
I just smiled knowingly as responded with, "A magician never reveals her secrets,"
Ethan groaned but we kept talking about random things like favorite colors and foods, I learned that Ethan liked purple and chicken. Good to know, if I were to make pancakes I will make some purple and some chicken at some time. "What are you two doing?" I looked and saw Luke standing at the entrance.
"Getting to know each other, why?"
"Because you haven't eaten yet," Luke handed me the plate I had seen before then left again with a glance at Ethan. I sat there, frozen, for a little, then began to eat the breakfast.
How does this look? I also know this is insanely early, but I had blast of creativity and pull to write, so here is the outcome!

Also, I know this is only a few hundred words longer, but it is longer! I hope you like the length, and if you do I will try to di that, though it might take longer...
