Hello! I'm back! Sorry again for the long wait before, but as a present, an early chapter!
*whispering* Even though I have no schedule for this story...
Alright, lets reply to some reviews!
ItsYaBoi325: Aw... What did Rose do?
Disclaimer: If I owned PJO I would not be, though I would still want to be, writing on this website.
"Rose! Come on!"
I barked and dashed up in front of him. He laughed and scooped me up in his arms. I felt my tail wagging, even though I didn't tell it to do that. I loved being a dog, emotions were so much easier to get across. Even though I couldn't tell people what I wanted exactly.
We had a few hellhounds come with us, so we had a story when we got across. Then huge dogs would chase us once we got in sight of the camp, then Ethan would fight them, but not kill and they would shadow-travel away. They would be allowed to scratch us, just enough to make it believable, but not endanger our lives.
Then again, when could you trust hellhounds. Ethan told me stories of when he was a kid. Like the unfortunate mishap in the kitchen. His father and him was baking a cake and they forgot about it. Then they smelled smoke coming from the oven and the smoke alarm went off, causing everyone to have to evacuate.
Ethan was a very good storyteller, he could make anything seem real or it would be like I was there with him when he was eight.
"Then in fifth grade I was in class when all of a sudden the power went out," I wagged my tail at the new story, if it went any faster it would have fallen off. "Everyone seemed to panic, but the lights only went out, I just kinda sat there confused. Someone from the office came in and said my dad was here to pick me up, as the couldn't call over the loudspeaker.
So, I packed up and and walked through the dark hallways, it wasn't too dark though, everyone opened all the blinds to let sunlight in. The heater had gone off, and it was December, everyone had on their coats and tried to keep warm. When I got to the front of the school I was Dad sitting in one of the chairs, his heavy coat wrapped around him like a blanket."
He paused and I looked up at him, he was looking in front of us, so I turned and saw just a glimpse of the Big House. He sat me down and whisper, "I'll finish the story later."
I nodded and Ethan whistled softly, three black dogs jumped from the shadows and started growling, Ethan hand crept towards his belt, where his dagger was strapped.
With me beside him, we shuffled closer to the border of the grounds, so we were in view. Then, the dog pounced and Ethan had his weapon out in front of him in a flash, I guess our short training sessions weren't a waste after all.
I growled and sprung at it's paw, biting down hard. The monster howled and leapt into the nearest tree, disappearing. While we were dealing with the first bloodthirsty canine, the other two were able to get on either side.
Ethan went after the one closer to him, so I pounced at the one to my left. This one was harder as I was at it alone, I got it injured in about three minutes, but not at a cost. I got a scratch across my side and a nicked ear.
I bounced over to Ethan, he was breathing heavily against a tree. "Man, you're really like a real puppy," he ruffled to fur on my head. I panted and bounced on a large stone by his feet. "They didn't go easy on us did they?"
I shook my head, then went a picked up a stick. In the best handwriting I could, I wrote 'Are you hurt?'
He squinted at the letters in the dirt, I dropped the stick and stepped back to take a look at my work. It was even hard for me to read, and I wrote it! After about five minutes, he nodded and a smile tugged at his lips. "Nah, not to bad, just a scratch here and there, it looks like you got it worse."
I wagged my tail and he grabbed he again. We went across the border and stumbled down the hill. "This is the camp you've talk so much about?" he seemed to tease. I barked and wagged my tail harder. "You like this place, huh?"
I nodded and wriggled out of his arms. He laughed and I trotted by his side. "Hey! Newbie! Who are you?"
Ethan looked over at the same time I growled. "Uh... Ethan Nakamura... I'm new here."
"Yeah, I know that much. What is that pipsqueak of a dog."
I growled again, and Ethan had to grab me again so I didn't bite her face off. "This is..."
Oh no. We didn't come up with a name for me. I looked up at him and we made eye contact, then he smiled again. "This is my puppy Ink. I found her on the streets when those weird huge dogs were chasing me. She's quite the fighter."
I wagged my tail and licked his face out of instinct, okay, maybe I'm going to have to be human sometimes, if not I may pick up on some puppy instincts. Clarisse sighed, "Well, I'm Clarisse, counselor of cabin 5. Since you have a, as you said, fierce fighter of a dog, I'll leave you alone for now, but mess with me or anyone from my cabin, you'll regret it."
I felt Ethan tense, but I wrapped one of my paws around his wrist, and he relaxed a little. "Of course, I wouldn't dream of it."
Clarisse walked away and I nodded my head toward the infirmary. Ethan smiled and whispered, "I guess we should get those scratches of yours fixed, I don't want them to get infected."
I shook my head, but we made out way across the green and went into the normal bustle of all the Apollo kids tending to the patients. I barked to get someone's attention and a familiar mop of blond hair came over. "Hey! I'm Will! You must be new here, need some help?"
"Yeah, Ink here got hurt in a fight and I was wondering if you could help."
I kicked him in the arm, where he had apparently gotten scratched because he winced. "And I did, too."
Will laughed and led us over to an open bed, Ethan sat down and put me down. I sniffed his shirt where there was a dark red stain. I couldn't tell if it was his or mine, but someone was bleeding.
After about ten minutes of sitting there and wincing occasionally, we were sent to the big house, where I saw a pair familiar of sea green eyes smiling at us as we rounding the corner.
So! Another chapter!
