SIX

Wednesday evening

Edward notices Isabella isn't very focused on Wuthering Heights today. She keeps staring out of the window at the fields that stretch out next to the library. The sky burns with an orange glow as the sun sets behind it.

"You alright?"

She glances at him. He notices that her eyes run over his face completely, hovering slightly longer on his lips. "Yeah, I'm just looking out at the fields. They're beautiful, aren't they?"

Looking over her shoulder, Edward smiles. "Yes, they are."

He knows it's not only the fields that deserve to be admired.

Friday morning

Edward smiles when he notices Isabella arrive outside Mr Banner's classroom. She is early, for a change, and he hopes that he has something to do with that. He tries to keep his ogling to a minimum, just in case the others notice.

A significant stretch of her thighs is visible between her skirt and knee-length socks. They look perfect.

Something stirs in the pit of Edward's stomach. He doesn't look at her again.

Saturday morning

Bella doesn't know whether or not to go to Edward's football game again. She doesn't even know whether he is playing today. She begins to type out a message to him.

She hears Phil and Renee's voices grow louder downstairs.

She deletes the message.

Saturday afternoon

When he walks out onto the pitch, Edward looks at the trees to see if Isabella is there again.

She isn't.

He misses every goal he attempts.

Wednesday morning

In between lessons, Bella goes to her locker to drop off some books. There is a note from him.

Wait until 3:30 and then come to my car. Not feeling the library today. I have some stuff that I want to show you at my house. E x

It's almost midnight here in the UK and I've just finished another couple of chapters so I thought I would treat you to another one just before bed.

Wonder what Edward wants to show Bella?

See you tomorrow for the next update! x
