A/N: Hey guys! Back again, just two days off! Hope you like it!
Percy and Annabeth's lives were like two parallel lines, always running next to each other, but never intersecting. Never meant to intersect.
They had different visions, different goals and different paths they needed to follow.
They knew this. So did the stars on the night where they looked up and saw how bright they twinkled, as if they knew this was going to be their last chance.
She had her arms wrapped around her legs, looking up with blurry vision at the stars who spelled out their goodbye.
He leaned against the wall with his hands on his face, peeking between fingers to hide the tears down his cheeks.
They sat in silence and the stars twinkled sadly above and when the morning came they went on their different paths that seemed to run forever, but never converge again.
They were seventeen.
-.-
Maybe she took a wrong turn, or maybe he missed an exit, but somehow, someway, their paths bumped into each other seven years later.
It was a clear night, with enough bright moonlight and twinkling stars to light up road in front of them.
Parallel lines are not mean to intersect, a fundamental rule of the universe. The same universe that built up the stars that kept them apart.
But somehow they slipped, under the cover of the day, and the clouds and the times when no one could see, and somehow they ended up outside the same bar on a clear night.
Both older and more mature but the sight brought back the memories that the universe had tried to hide. Percy could never forget Annabeth and Annabeth never quite let go of Percy.
So after hours of catching up and some drinks, they stand outside to watch the night sky and the stars start to fade.
The morning light washes them out and they hold hands knowing that this was rare, and they were not letting go of this miracle.
There's just one line now. And when the night comes, they're going to stay, even if they have to re-write the stars.
A/N: So what did you think? Just wanted to write something metaphorical and abstract this time round. Can't believe we're so close to the end of the year! Once again, thank you so much to those who have stuck around on this ride!
I'll see you in the new year with the next update for this series! Have a Happy New Year!
And also! I want to get your feedback, what day of the week do you think I should update this series?
Please Review! I'd love to hear your thoughts!
And as always, thanks for reading!
