CHAPTER FIVE
(Insert train noises here)
The three had gone to Jet's work shop. Once they convinced Storm to go they started to drive back to the station.
"So we're going to die in order?" Asked Jet.
Tails nodded.
Storm, Sarah, and Shadow were in the back while Jet and Tails were in the front.
"Wave was first after Shadow who I saved." Said Tails as he grabbed the picture and handed it to Jet.
"Then Storm. Then you." Tails gestured to the numbers on their pictures. Three and four.
"I keep having visions. It gives me a warning. But I'm stuck. I don't know how to end this."
"What if you just get death to skip everyone? You saved me."
"That's easier said then done. I can't handle everyone."
"What if we talk to someone who knows about death." Said Sarah.
"What do you mean?"
Sarah handed her phone to him with GPS on. Tails looked at it.
"O-okay. A bit of a detour guys."
The five walked into the morgue.
"This is not the place I want to be." Said Storm.
"Just... Stay here with Jet. We'll be right back."
"Don't treat me like I'm a child."
Tails crossed his arms.
"I'm not treating you like a child. I'm treating you like the person who's next on deaths list. Stay here with Jet and we'll be back."
Tails opened the glass door. There was a stretcher in the middle of the small room with a body on it.
"Why are we here?" Asked Shadow.
"Supposedly the mortician here knows a lot about death." Said Sarah.
"Do you mean me?" Asked a tired voice.
A bloodhound came out of a door on the other side of the room. He had to be in the later years of his life.
"Depends, are you the-"
"Mortician? Yes that is me."
"Oh great! We need your help."
"Did you escape death? When people need my help it's usually for that."
"Uh..." Sarah turned to Tails.
"Tell him... I guess."
Tails looked at the mortician uncertainty.
"Uh... yeah. I-I had a vision of a pile-up. Now my friends are in danger. Is there any way to stop it?"
The mortician turned around and walked over to the body.
"There is one way. But it's rare to come across and may not work. The way to stop death's list is the introduction of new life."
The three stared at each other in confusion.
"What does that-" Tails stopped when he realized that the bloodhound was gone.
"Let's go."
The five were back in the Suv.
"An introduction of new life?! What does that even mean?" Asked Sarah.
Tails kept playing the sentence over and over in his head. Then it clicked.
"An introduction of new life mean an unborn baby that would've died in the crash is born would mess up the list!"
"But do we even know anyone who's pregnant?!"
Tails thought about this. Then his eyes widened and he looked at Sarah.
"What?"
"Macy... Macy's the person!"
"That's great! But... we don't even know where she lives."
"I can help with that." Said Shadow.
"I can scan her license plate and put her under arrest. The station will be a safe place for her."
Tails thought about this.
"Okay."
The Suv started to drive towards the train tracks. As the car began to drive over it the car suddenly stopped.
"What's going on?" Asked Tails as he turned the keys in the ignition.
The car started up just to stop again.
"Tails! Look!" Sarah pointed out his window.
A train was coming towards the car.
"Get out get out GET OUT!" Screamed Tails as he frantically unbuckled his seat belt.
He, Sarah, Shadow, and Jet tumbled out of the car but Storm's seat belt was jammed.
"HELP! DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!"
"Crap!" Said Tails as he ran over to the car.
He grabbed Storm by the arms and started to try to pull him out of the window. The train was a few feet away when Tails finally pulled Storm out. The explosion blew the two back.
Storm stood up and stared at Tails.
"YOU'RE DEAD! DEAD! AND YOU TRIED TO TAKE ME WITH YOU!"
This sounded too familiar.
"Storm! Look out!"
A piece of metal from the debris of the car shot out from under the train and towards Storm. It decapitated him quickly. His head rolled to the floor as his body collapsed.
Sarah ran over to Tails to help him up.
"We need to find Macy. Now."
