Taking place in the future. Tails and his family are going on a vacation when something happens. Tails invisions a pile up that kills of of his friends. Even though it's not real it scares him enough to save his friends. But cheating death isn't very smart as now his friends are dying. Can Tails survive his final destination? M for gore. 9. Chapter 9

CHAPTER NINE

At WoodBury Dock

I honestly just wish I could of done something...

Tails jerked awake. He was on his couch.

He leaned over the edge and threw up.

"Gross..."

Tails rolled over to see Sarah sitting at the dining room table.

"Hey..."

Said Tails weakly.

"How long was I out?"

"Five hours."

Suddenly the memories of the elevator came back.

"What happened to-"

"Don't talk about it."

Tails fell silent.

He looked around the room.

"Where's Shadow?"

"At the hospital with Macy."

It then dawned on Tails what was coming.

He got up and hurried to the door.

"Where are you going?"

"Sonic is next and I am not letting him die."

"B-but no! No one even know where he went!"

Sarah grabbed his arm in an attempt to stop him.

Tails yanked himself out of her grip, causing her to stumble forward.

"Look, I've had to watch my friends drop like flies. It might have been better for everyone if I had just let everyone die in the pile up."

"Don't say that!"

"Well it's true! I've watched my friends die by explosions, tri-sections, glass panes, and an elevator! But yet I keep trying to save them. Because they still have lives ahead of them! I want to take that tiny chance of they may, MAY, survive. So weather you want me to or not I will still try to save the people who matter most in my life."

Sarah stared at him, shocked.

"O-okay. I'll come too."

"I have an idea on where he could be."

The hedgehog sat at the end of the dock, staring out onto the horizon.

Tails and Sarah quietly walked onto the dock.

"Not going to lie, it's pretty creepy how you know where I'm am at any time." Sonic said as he stood up and turned around to face them.

"Whenever something serious happened you used to come here, when we were kids."

Sonic stood in silence for a moment before saying,

"You're here to try to save me, aren't you?"

Tails gave a slight nod.

"I was still trying to choose if I would agree to go or not. Maybe if I die I can see my family again."

Tails' expression turned slightly stern.

"But then again they wouldn't want me to except fate." Sonic started to walk up to them.

"I'll stay and help keep Macy alive."

Tails and Sarah turned around to start to walk away.

They started to cross the street to their rental car when Sonic said,

"I honestly just wish I could of done something..."

Tails stopped walking and turned around with Sarah following soon after.

"Sonic NO!"

Suddenly a pick up truck came flying down the road.

It happened so fast Sonic's blood splattered everywhere, including all over Tails and Sarah.

Tails stumbled backwards.

"Macy's next, Macy's next w-we have to go. Now."

The two of them turned around and ran.
