3. Diagon alley
Hagrid answered every question and he ensured us we both are really a witch and wizard. When again our uncle and aunt objected Hagrid hexed Dudley and grew a pigtail on his butt. That's something you don't get to see everyday so it was fun.
Next day, when I woke up I don't wanted to open my eyes, I knew if I do I'll be sleeping in my cupboard dreaming about a huge man coming to us and telling we are magical, but I felt more warmer than yesterday night and When I saw my blanket it was totally different and much more better than we had yesterday night, I looked around and saw huge robes on sofa, then a huge man on sofa, I saw Harry standing in front of window, the moment he opened it a owl flew in. The owl had a paper with it, which owl dropped on Hagrid and sat on the sofa side looking at Hagrid.
"Hagrid, Hagrid there is an owl" I said while poking him, he mumbled something, get him five knuts from my po'ket"
"five, what" I stammered
"five bronze coins" Hagrid mumbled
I started going through Hagrid's pockets , it was difficult but somehow I managed to get the five bronze coins when the owl had a pocket wrapped around it's leg, I dropped the coins in it, the owl took off.
"Nice" said Harry while sitting aside watching me
"you could've helped me" said emma
"yeah, I could" said Harry.
After sometime Hagrid woke up and made us some tea, if we are going to Hogwarts I had one question in mind Uncle Vernon declined to pay for any of this, so how we are going to go, once again my brother voiced my question
"Hagrid we don't have any money how we are going to pay for it, and uncle Vernon said no" said Harry anxiously
"yeh don't worry, Harry" said Hagrid with a laugh " your parents left a fortune behind for both of yeh"
"but house was destroyed" said Harry
"they put their money in bank, a wizarding bank, today I've business th're as well so we'll withdraw some money, for your supllies" said Hagrid
It was with Hagrid when we crossed the sea, he used his magic to increase the speed and told us not to tell anyone about it, he was not allowed to do magic , he told us he was expelled so he was not allowed to do magic and my one of a kind brother stupidly asked how, which Hagrid totally ignored for sure, Then we get to the London by train it's fun in london when you are with a giant man, who doesn't know how muggle money works, I'm getting used to the word muggle and we are going for shopping.
"can I buy some new cloths??" I asked to Harry
"Definitely" said Harry, I was so damn excited for today.
Hagrid stopped us in front of something called leaky cauldron, he asked us to enter while holding the door, it was dark inside only lit by candles, all people were there in robes, all looked kind of shabby, it was some kind of pub, Hagrid directed us further but we can't move any further because one of the man from pub shouted he was hunched old man, someone nearing his hundred, "hey Hagrid, do you want your like always??"
"Not, today Tom, here on some business" said Hagrid and moved ahead but something happened unusual the moment, Tom the bar man noticed Harry everyone in pub started coming at us, shaking our hands, thanking us, like we are some celebrity, I don't know about myself but my brother was some kind of Messiah for them, after a lot of trouble and a stammering professor we were able to get out of there.
Okay, really magic is a funny business we are just standing in front of a wall with brick Nothing else but after a moment Hagrid pointed some brick the wall dematerialized , and alley stood in front of them a twisted alley, the moment they entered it, it felt good, It's called diagon alley and we are going to get our all school supplies here.
"Here is the goblins bank" said Hagrid " GRINGOTTS"
"Goblins " I asked perplexed
"yes, come on yeh two" said Hagrid enthusiastically, and we followed him, one first gate some goblins were standing guards with spears, then we entered on second gate as well guards were there, Hagrid bowed, after that they let us go inside, there were podiums around halls, goblins were sitting on them, all of them had pointed long nose, sharped teeth, and eyes wider than I can imagine and height was smaller than both harry and me, and here we are malnourished.
"we want to withdraw money from mr and miss Potter account" said Hagrid
"key please," said the goblins after starting at Hagrid for a second
"jus" wait a min'te, I kno' where it's" said Hagrid and started taking out everything from his pockets and putting on the table, the goblin was glaring at him, "here it's" Hagrid said cheerfully after a minute.
They were with a goblin named griphook on a cart which was speeding, on a track which was underground and the cart was going deeper and deeper. After some time the cart stopped and goblin said "key please"
"Here" said Hagrid, he didn't look well at all, he looked like he was going to throw up.
When Griphook opened the vault Harry and I were watching in anticipation and when we saw stack of gold and sliver coins we were smiling like some dork,
"what it's worth in pounds" asked Harry
"more than a million" said Griphook
"we can Buy Dudley's house over and over again" I said happily
"Yeah" Harry agreed
Harry and I wanted to get so many galleons out of there but we needed this money to last for our next school years, so we got only required for our supplies and school year.
After that we went more deeper and when we reached the vault 713 Griphook asked us to stand aside and after seeing our own vault we were expecting what can be in this one, but when it opened we saw nothing, no gold, no silver, no diamond anything, but Hagrid went in and picked up something small siting in the middle of the vault.
Now was the shopping time, when we asked Hagrid about the thing from vault he told us he can't, we don't tell anybody what happened then as Hagrid was not feeling well he asked us to go to madam malkin's robes for all occasions, we ventured into the shop, there Madam malkin asked us to stood on a stool for trying the robes, we both did beside Harry stood a pale faced boy, who was getting robes.
"You should've punched him in his face" I said annoyingly, the boy in madam malkin's robes was annoying stupid spoilt brat just like Dudley, he called our friend Hagrid stupid who the hell he is, he was stupid as far as I know. we were with Hagrid eating ice creams which he brought for us.
"Whom??" asked Hagrid urgently, "don't go punching around both of yeh"
"We met a boy, who was just like Dudley that's all Hagrid" said harry
"ohhh, just tell yer name both of yeh everyb'dy kno's yeh, they'll be already, surprises, eh??" said Hagrid happily
"okay," said Harry. " Hagrid what's Slytherin and Hufflepuff??"
He told us everything regarding the school houses and told us not to worry about anything, Mum and dad were Gryffindor, I wanna be too now..
After that we got all are other supplies which was ridiculous it was all heavy and on all above that, a cauldron, a telescope, some scales and ink pots and quills, books, and so many other weird potions ingredients.
"now, it's time, I got yeh both a birthday present" said Hagrid enthusiastically
"It's okay, you don't have to buy us anything" said Harry, Again voiced my thoughts.
"No, no I do, And I'll get you a pet" said Hagrid
" cats are not that, popular and toad aren't that usefull too, how 'bout I buy yeh both a owl, eh"
Harry and I both smiled together.
After sometime Harry and I both had an owl, Actually Harry chose for me and I chose for him, mine was, A snowy white owl and Harry's was a great grey owl..
