Ancient Runes: Write about someone who is hardly ever noticed (House elf; red; happy)

Invisible

We weren't brave, we weren't crafty, nor were we particularly intelligent, but that never meant they liked to remain in the shadows of the other houses. It didn't mean that she was happy being part of the furniture, like the house elves seemed to enjoy being.

It was like being a wallflower among a group of only forty people, a splodge of yellow against the glowing red, sinister green, and all-knowing blue. It should not be possible, but it was how Hogwarts felt.

She wanted to be like her parents, brave and intelligent despite being hardworking. They shone during their time at Hogwarts because of that. She was sure she could too, but she wasn't given the chance.

She wanted to be noticed, but she didn't know how.
