A few days have passed without incident. All my friends, old and new, have come over after school for training. Everyone was taking it in stride. Everyone paid attention to what I showed them.

The girls actually wanted to learn Karate alongside the guys. So I've been teaching them that as well. So far they've been doing great.

The pack, the Cullen's, Peter and Char have all been sparring while we watched. It was fascinating to see. It was great seeing everyone working together.

I had finished writing all the papers for each class and turned them in yesterday. I got A's on every single one.

The gang and I still hang out with Elena, so she won't suspect anything. We go to her house and still watch movies together. We've even had a sleepover.

Although I didn't like it, Peter suggested that Stefan and Damon play along with her little games. He wanted them to act like they were putty in her hands.

I had put up a fight on that one. But the idiotas reassured me that it was a great plan.

And now, Stefan is going to be Elena's escort. Stefan won't show, and Damon will step in.

Caroline has Tyler as and escort, which surprised me. But, I was happy.

Bonnie had Jeremy.

So I asked Matty to be my escort. His face had lit up like a Christmas tree.

We've all done our interviews on what we've done and why we wanted to be Miss Mystic Falls. Also we've learned the dance we will be doing.

The girls and I picked out our dresses we would be wearing, while the guys picked up their suits.

So here it is, Friday night. I am currently at the Donovan's, having dinner with them. Matty had asked me because Vickie and Kelly have missed me.

"So, Bella. I hear you're being escorted by my baby brother to the Founder's Day Ball." says Vick, making Matt blush in embarrassment.

"That's right, big sister. I have a feeling we'll have lots of fun. Won't we, Matty?" he blushed deeper and smiled.

"Damn right, we will." he responded, being all macho. I smiled at him.

Dinner was done and I helped Matty with the dishes. We kept splashing water on each other and laughing.

Matt is such a wonderful guy. I know he and Ty have always liked me. Matt just makes me smile and laugh more. He makes me feel more normal. Like there isn't a whole lot of craziness in my life.

I think I might be falling for him. I just don't know if we should act on it. I don't ever want to do anything to ruin our friendship.

We finished washing the dishes, I told Vick and Kelly thanks for dinner and having me over. Matt walked me to my car. Just as I was getting ready to get in, he stopped me.

"Hey, Bell."

"Yeah Matt."

"At the risk of making a fool of myself. I need to tell you something.

Bell, you're the only girl I have ever truly liked more than a friend. You make me laugh more than anyone ever has. When you smile, you make me smile. You light up the whole world when you do smile.

You're beautiful, smart, funny, selfless and the best person I've ever known that has never let me down.

I've always wanted to tell you. And if you're worried about ruining our friendship, that will never be lost. Nothing ever could ruin it.

So, Bell. Will you be my girlfriend?"

He stood there nervously. I really didn't want to ruin our friendship. But hearing what he said, I realized it was worth the risk.

So. I did the one thing that would give him his answer. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. He kissed me back and it was like fireworks went off. My heart was beating rapidly and my skin was tingling.

Then I pulled away, looked in his beautiful blue eyes and said, "Yes, I would love to."

We smiled at each other. He opened my car door for me, I stepped in and he closed it. Backing out of the driveway, I waved at him as he watched me leave.

Arriving home, Peter was on the front porch waiting ,with his 'know it all' smugness.

Dick.

"Not ONE WORD, Peter Piper." I warned.

He held his hands up in surrender and we walked inside. Char gave me a hug and I went upstairs to take a shower. I got ready for bed and went back down to tell everyone good night. Char made me promise to tell her everything tomorrow.

I walked back up to my room, turned of the light and crawled into bed. I thought about tonight and how right I felt being with Matt. Now, all my worries were gone and I was excited for tomorrow.

So, I closed my eyes, dreaming about a future with my Matty.

Saturday morning finally came. I actually woke up with the biggest smile on my face. It is 7:30, and I danced down the stairs, put on a pot of coffee, and started making omelettes.

I had the kitchen radio on low and sang along to Love Story by Taylor Swift. I heard a throat clearing behind me and saw Dad at they entryway.

"What's got you in such a good mood this morning, Bells?" he asked curiously.

"Nothing." I said, hiding my face as I blushed.

"Uh huh." he said, unconvinced.

The omelettes were done and I plated them and sat them on the table. Poured Charlie some coffee, while he sat down.

We ate our food and Charlie kept glancing up at me with a smile on his face. I guess he's just happy I'm in a good mood. Unless, Yoda told him.

"I didn't say anything, Bells. I much prefer having my limbs where they are." said Peter as he walked in.

I looked at him skeptically. Then looked at Char and she shook her head, letting me know he didn't. I nodded then smiled at Peter.

"Okay. What's with the secrecy, Bells? What aren't you telling me?"

"Well Dad. You know how I went to the Donovan's for dinner last night?" I asked cautiously.

"Yes. What about it?"

Here goes nothing.

"Well, Matty may have asked me to be his girlfriend and I may have said yes."

There. I said it. I studied his reaction and to my surprise, he started laughing, then grinned happily.

"It's about damn time that boy got the guts to ask you. I'm happy for you, baby girl. I don't know why you were so afraid to tell me. I believe you two will be great for each other.

However, I know many guys that consider you family, who may just try and kill him. And you are the one that gets to let them know."

Shit. I didn't think about all that. I've been so happy and now I'm a little worried. My godfather's and the Salvatore's are very protective of me. Hopefully, none of them really do try and kill him or give him too hard of a time.

We finished eating breakfast and cleaning. I went upstairs, did my business in the bathroom. Went to my closet and got out a couple outfits for today. Since it's Founder's Day, I figured I'd wear a sundress until I have to change into my Ball gown.

I didn't put on any makeup, since I'll be having some put on later before the Ball starts.

There was a tap on my window, I knew it was Damon, so I opened my window and he flew in, landing on my bed.

"Good morning princess. Nice dress. Stefan and I wanted to let you know that everything is going as planned.

How was dinner at the Donovan's?" he asked.

"Well first, thanks for the compliment. And second, it was great seeing them. Vick kept trying to embarrass Matty. I saved him from it." I responded, smiling.

"Is there any reason there's a smile on your face after saying Matt's name?"

Drat. "What smile?"

"Princess. You suck at lying, might as well tell me now or it'll be worse later."

Fuck, I thought.

"Matt asked me out and I said yes." I mumbled.

He stared at me for a moment.

"I'm sorry, my ears must be clogged today. Did you just say that jock asked you out?"

"Yes." I said worriedly.

"And you said yes?"

I nodded.

"Well, looks like I'll be having a few words with your new boyfriend. I swear, Isabella. If that boy makes you cry even once, I will rip his heart out. Do I make myself clear?" he warned seriously.

"Yes Day. I know. You'll have to get in a very long line for that. But don't worry. Matty would never do anything to hurt me. He's really a great guy, Day. So please, go easy on him? For me?" I begged.

Damon walked up to me and wrapped me in a tight hug.

"I promise, principessa. But only because it's you and you asked me. I love you, princess. I just don't ever want to see you get hurt. Especially by some guy."

I kissed his cheek in appreciation.

"I love you, too Day."

He flew back out of my window and I closed it, locking it.

Well, that went well. Hopefully the others will go just as smoothly.
