The firewhiskey that was still coursing through his system was making him slightly reckless. He didn't know whether that was better or worse, because he had been far too nervous to even speak earlier. He was supposed to be doing … something. He wasn't entirely sure what it was he had been nervous over anymore. It was one of the few times Fred wasn't by his side, but he doubted Fred being there would make it any better. It might have been Fred who had gotten him drunk in the first place.
He noticed a pretty girl on the opposite bench in the park near the bushes that held tons of berries in summer. She was alone, and he took that as a good sign, taking the seat next to her. He saw her nose crinkle slightly and frowned, before casting a freshening charm on himself.
"I'm feeling kind of nervous, and need a distraction. Would you kiss me?"
She glared at him in response, her arms folded stiffly in front of her.
"I'll take that as a 'no', then. Still, you're very pretty. I'm George Weasley, you knight-in-shining armour ready to to take you riding into the sunset, and you are?"
"Angelina," she said warily, apparently not trusting him with her surname. She glanced at her watch and stood quickly, seemingly relieved.
"Where are you going, beautiful?" he asked, his speech slightly slurred.
"Far away from you, obviously."
"Aww, don't be like that! No one can resist my charms!" he yelled, tripping on his own feet as he attempted to stand up.
"You have to stop falling for the ground first!"
"I was just testing gravity! I'd much rather fall for you!"
By the time he looked up again, she was gone.
He sighed, and hoped that he would meet her again. Soon hopefully, so he could properly charm her, and not when he was old and wrinkly. It would be ridiculously difficult then
