"What do you mean we're kicked off the team?" Hinata asked shocked.
"I mean, that unless you two can get along, I'm not allowing you back. You're on the same team now, so have you two have to get along, and work as teammates." Daichi Responded, walking back inside the gym. Hinata and Kageyama stood there looking at the door mouths open in shock.
"Nooo," Hinata whined, "this is the first proper team that I've been on and now they're kicking me out."
"What you mean this is your first proper team, dumbass?" Kageyama asked looking at Hinata with a dumfounded look on his face.
"My team that I versed you with last year, I was the only volleyball player. I managed to get a few of my friends from soccer and basketball, I even begged a few first years, this was going to be my first ever proper team." Hinata mumbled. The hot-headed boy tried to hide his shock but miserably failed. That explains why their team last year was that bad.
As quickly as the mood went down Hinata brought it back up.
"Toss to me!"
"No,"
"Toss to me!"
"I said no dumbass! I only toss to people who are worthy of my tosses."
"Then help me practice receiving," Hinata asked bowing down slightly.
"Fine," Kageyama grumbled.
Hinata grabbed his bags with Kageyama following, they walked to clearing of grass, where Kageyama started hitting the ball towards Hinata, they went on like this, for around 2 hours, with the occasional comment or "dumbass" retort thrown in. The hat to stop when Hinatas phone rang.
"Oi dumbass! What about training?" Kageyama asked when Hinata went to go answer his phone.
"Give me a minute!" Hinata grabbed his phone when he saw the contact his eyes widened, answering the phone quickly. Kageyama didn't hear exactly what was going on, but he knew he wasn't speaking entirely Japanese. Once he finished the brief conversation, Hinata shoved his phone in his bad looking for his jacket.
"Dumbass! Where are you going?"
"I have to leave. I'm late for something."
"What about Volleyball?"
"Oh, um, I've got a family emergency I need to get to, but we can get here early tomorrow morning to practice early." He rushed, hoping that he seemed 100% devoted to volleyball. Even though he loved the sport, Ice Skating still took 1st place.
"If the teams training starts at 6:30, then let's meet at 5," Hinata said, and Kageyama just nodded at him.
Hinata didn't realise how late it had gotten and Viktor was waiting outside the school to pick him up for training. He quickly got his bags and ran off to the school's entrance. He spotted Viktor's car on the street and quickly got in.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry I'm late. I lost track of time training," Hinata rushed out as he sat down.
"Its fine. I was only waiting for 15 minutes. So how was your first day?"
"It was pretty good. You remember that really good guy at my first volleyball game?"
"The rude one?"
"That's the one. So, it turns out that he also decided to come to Karasuno. And because of that asshole, I accidentally knocked the vice principals wig off, and we've been kicked off the team until we can get along, and we can only get back on the team if we win a three on three practice match next week. But he keeps saying that he'll only toss to 'those that deserve his toss'. He's so annoying. So yeah, practice went amazing." Hinata said, the last part thick with sarcasm.
"Okay, so not the best day," Viktor noted, "Well let's get to the rink, hopefully that will cheer you up."
"Okay,"
For the rest of the week Hinata was determined to get better at volleyball. Tanaka and Suga had the keys for the court in the morning and helped them train. Suga would help Hinata with his receives during lunch. Him and Kageyama would practice in the afternoons until Hinata had to leave for skating. Kageyama still found it very odd that he had to leave everyday at a certain time. He had figured out that it wasn't/ couldn't be a family emergency EVERY DAY. But they still got to train so he just let it go.
The day of their practice match came around. And Kageyama and Hinatas team ended up winning. Allowing them to be apart of the team, which made Hinata super happy. He was relieved when he found out that his schedules didn't clash. Volleyball was from 2 - 3:45 and Skating was from 4 - 6:30.
XXXX
When Yuuri and Hinata walked into the rink. Hinata would tell something was up. He could tell Viktor was trying to keep a secret, He couldn't sit still, and he was desperately trying to keep a smile off his face. When he finally reached his dad he finally asked,
"So, are you going to tell what's up or do I have to guess?"
"How could you tell?" Viktor whined.
"Because I know you can't keep a secret to save your life, and when I walked in, you could barely sit still." Hinata deadpanned.
"I told you you would give us away Vitya," Yuuri mumbled.
"So, are you going to tell me?"
"Oh yes. So, Viktor and I talked last night, and we decided after some thinking. We're going to let you have your senior debut," Yuuri started, and whatever he was going to say after was cut off by Hinata tackling them in a huge hug.
"Really? You're going to let me debut?" He asked with a smile. This time Viktor spoke.
"Yes. We know you wanted to have a break after winning your Junior Grand Prix's. And we didn't want you to start with your quads just yet because your body is still growing. But now you're 16 and we think that's old enough for you to start your quads. You also had time to get into volleyball, which you did. And we know you were itching to start competing again," at this Hinata started blushing, he never realised his dads were that observant, "So we thought now would be the perfect time for you to start."
"We will have to talk to your principal and teachers excusing you from school when you have competitions, but we can always get you up to speed while we're away. And you can finally put all that English Practice to good use."
Hinata was busy glowing at them, excited to have his senior debut and to start competing again.
"But," Hinatas face fell, "We aren't allowing you to do more than 3 quads per routine, 2 if we can see you're struggling. And you don't have to, but we think you must tell your volleyball team," Yuuri said.
"Okay, the first part's understandable, I don't want to get injured. But I don't want to tell my team, they're all so invested in volleyball I don't want them to think that I'm betraying them. I'll tell them if they start to get worried about me or something, but otherwise I don't want to,"
"Okay, we respect your decision." Viktor responded. "Let's get to training, I want Yuuri to help you with your step sequence because that hasn't been as good lately, and if he thinks you've improved enough, only then, will I start training you on your quads." Hinata was busy jumping in his seat, eager to start training now.
Yuuri helped Hinata with his step sequence for around an hour, until he thought it was good enough, and he could tell his son really wanted to start with quads, so he handed him over to Viktor. They started practicing and Yuuri was worried, he knew how hard a quad was and he didn't want Hinata to get hurt. But he knew Hinata was a fast learner.
He hadn't landed one cleanly just yet, that would take a few more days, but he was getting damn good at it. They trained for an hour with Viktor guiding Hinata and helping him with his jumps and his landings. Hinata was getting tired and losing concentration, because he went up for a jump, with his mind clearly somewhere else, he landed wrong and the left side of his body smashed into the ice. Viktor and an extremely worried Yuuri skated up to him.
"Hinata!"
"Are you okay? Here let me help you up," Yuuri asked, worry very clear in his voice
"Thank you," he mumbled.
"Okay let's end practice with that today, we don't want you getting even more hurt." Viktor said helping him up.
"We'll have to ice your hip when we get home and take it easy on the ice tomorrow. Just promise me you won't overdo it tomorrow at volleyball."
"Fine," he groaned.

The next morning it was sore for Hinata to walk, from both overdoing it at practice, and from his bad fall. He woke up with a huge bruise on majority of his hip and some of his leg. He had to wake up early to make it to morning volleyball practice on time. He lost his race with Kageyama up to the clubroom. He completely forgot about his bruise when he changed, only remembering when someone gasped when he took his t-shirt off. He turned to see Suga staring at him, eyes wide.
"Hinata what happened? Are you okay?"
