The school week passed by a little too quickly. We've all discussed what was going on and made more plans.
Elena has been acting strange lately since I explained everything. She says she's just scared. I'm not convinced. Neither is anyone else.
Today is Friday and I had totally forgotten that today is The Decade Dance.
We had to dress for the 60's, which we have been learning about all week. I chose a bright Red Retro, Rockabilly Princess Cosplay Dress, that had black with white polka dots around the chest area.
For shoes, I chose black flats to be more comfortable.
For Jewelry, I'm wearing big Red hoop earrings.
For makeup, I'm wearing Black eyeshadow, Red lipstick, and a dab of blush.
Matty is going with a black 60s tux, with a red undershirt. He looks so sexy in it.
Anyway, Matty has picked my up in his truck and we're headed to the dance. I've got a feeling this is where Klaus will show up to meet.
The pack, minus Jared and Paul are all patrolling around the school, just in case.
Jared and Paul wanted to join the dance and they'll be meeting Klaus if he does show up here.
The Cullen's all dressed up, and they are currently on the dancefloor. They all see me and wave. Alice gestures towards my dress and winks. She loves my fashion sense.
Jasper is looking around for an unfamiliar face along with everyone else. Matt and I start dancing near our friends while looking around.
Damon is chaperoning with his new friend, Alaric Saltzman. I met him a few days ago. He's a vampire hunter, and he tried to go after Stefan and Damon.
I was there and I stopped him. Then we told him everything. Just like everyone else, he pledged his loyalty to me and said he'd follow me.
What can I say? People love my electrifying personality.
Anyway, we don't see any new faces. Alaric excuses himself and leaves the dance area. Something didn't feel right, so I kissed Matt and asked him to dance with Bonnie and the others to keep an eye out.
Paul, Jared and Jasper followed me at a distance as I followed Alaric. I found him in the History classroom.
He turned around as I walked in.
"Hello, Isabella. I knew you'd follow me. Elijah told me what all you told him."
"Klaus. I figured it was you. What are you doing in Ric's body?" I asked him.
"Oh you know me, love. I love to body jump. It helps me get around undetected. Of course, no one can fool you." he replied smirking.
"True," I stated. "However, I'd much prefer to see you as yourself. It's totally strange seeing you in my new friends body."
"I just wanted to have a little fun, love. Don't worry, I'll be in my own body soon. But first, I need you to explain to me the real reason you are keeping the doppelganger away from me." he said as he sat down waiting for the explaination.
I sat directly across from him and looked directly in his eyes as I explained everything.
When I was done explaining, he looked into my eyes for a minute then stood up and pulled me from my seat and hugged me.
"I believe you, Isabella. I appreciate your honesty. I've always been able to count on you. You're the only human, I trust, Isabella.
I have something to tell you as well. Do you remember Elijah and I telling you about Mikael?" he asked. I nodded.
"Well he's still after us. That's why I still have my siblings in the coffins. I'm protecting them.
And once I break my curse, I need those hybrids to help me defeat him. I'm willing to make a proposal.
I'll help you with your problem, if you help me with my step father. You have my word, Isabella love."
I thought about it for a moment, then I hugged him and said, "You got it Nikki."
He groaned and said, "You know I hate it when you call me that. You're lucky I consider you family. And thank you."
"You're welcome, Nik. Now please, give me my friend back and get back into your body, so I can see the real you. Oh, one more thing. I have a few friends who want to meet the Original Hybrid."
"I'll meet them when I return as myself," he promised. "By the way, I have someone you've been looking for. She's been keeping tabs on you and your friends. Don't worry, I have her tied to a chair with vervain ropes. She's torturing herself as we speak.
You might know of her. Katerina."
"As a matter of fact, I do. The little wicked bitch of the east has toyed with my family. Bitch is on my shit list. Save some torturing for me. I want her to see my face before she dies." I responded smirking.
"Of course love. Well, let's head back to the dancefloor, shall we? I'm sure your boyfriend and friends are worried about you." I nodded and walked out with him back to the dancefloor. My friends and family looked up and saw us. I nodded slightly, then stole Matty back from Bon.
In my peripheral, I saw Klaus talking to Damon, then Klaus left. Hopefully to exchange bodies back.
Day looked at me and nodded. I guess Klaus talked to him about what we discussed.
Matt and I continued to dance to a slow song. I looked in his eyes and smiled.
"How'd it go, baby?" he asked me.
"Everything is fine, babe. Nik understood my reasons. I'll explain more later. For now, let's enjoy the rest of the dance, surrounded by the rest of our friends.
I love you. I promise you everything is perfect. I would let you know if anything was wrong. I'll never keep anything from you. You mean the world to me."
"I know babe. I trust you with everything. And I love you too. Forever." he said, then kissed me, I kissed back, then later my head on his chest.
The dance was almost over. Matt told me he had something to do, so he had Damon come dance with me. The song ended and I saw Matt on the stage. I started getting nervous.
He grabbed the mic and looked around the crowd, then his eyes landed on me.
"Sorry for the interruption, but I have this beautiful young woman that I happen to love. You may know her as Bella Swan.
Baby, I want to know if you'll come up and sing this song with me. Please?" he asked.
Everyone started chanting my name. So, finally, I walked up to the stage, next to Matt and grabbed the other microphone as the band started the song.

We finished singing together and everyone started clapping and cheering. We bowed to them.
We walked off the stage and the dance was over. All our friends hugged me and high fived Matt.
"You two are the cutest couple, I swear." Care gushed. Matt looked at me and winked, I smiled.
Care and Ty came to the dance together, they've been hanging around each other more lately.
They say they aren't together. Matt and I have planned to get them to go on a double date with us at the Grill so we can help them realize their feelings for each other. So we'll be playing Cupid.
I think they'd make a cute couple. Two of my closest best friends. One can be a bit of a hothead, the other with a sparkling personality. I've noticed, that when they are together, they bring out a different side of each other.
We all left the dance, Matty took me home and walked me to the front door. We kissed for a while, neither of us wanting to leave the other.
Freaking Yoda had to ruin it and say, "All right lover boy. Let my baby sister go. You'll see her again soon."
Matt smiled at me and told me he loved me before getting back in his truck to head home. I waved at him as he drove away.
"Dick. Why'd you ruin it?"
"Don't worry, princess. You can suck each other's faces off another time. Just not in front of me." he said, then he shivered.
"You big baby."
"I love you, too baby sister."
I flipped him off and walked upstairs to take a quick shower.
Twenty minutes later, I grab a quick sandwich before getting ready for bed.
Then, I go to my room, turn my light off and crawl into bed. I started thinking about Matt and fell asleep with a smile on my face.
