It wasn't even midday yet, and Theo already wanted to down a bottle of Firewhiskey at the nearest convenience. Theo wished Pansy wouldn't snoop as she was fond of doing, "gathering information" she called it, but Theo knew better. As did everyone else in the Slytherin dorms. Pansy always found out more than she should, and that was the only reason he maintained a friendship with the girl. He truly was scared of the consequences.

"You have to go!" Pansy cried in outrage.

The fact that they were in the Leaky Cauldron didn't help, because Pansy hated the smell of Firewhiskey and never allowed anyone to drink it near her.

"I've told you before, I don't want to. Besides, I don't have any sort of invitation to it. The Nott family isn't particularly involved in the smaller parties, only the necessary ones. You know that," Theo sighed. He knew Pansy would find a way for it nevertheless, even if it meant that she would invite him herself.

It was a little gathering the Zabini's were having to celebrate Blaise's mother's new husband. The Nott family hadn't been close enough to the Zabini family to have been invited. Theo doubted they would have allowed their guests to bring guests of their own, like they did in the larger gatherings.

Pansy got that glint in her eye that Theo knew to fear and hate in equal measure. Friendship with Pansy was never without the pain.

"Well, then I'll just have to introduce you to the Zabini family. We can do that now," Pansy said, grabbing Theo's upper arm in a vice grip before dragging him over to the floo.

"Isn't it rude to just arrive at someone's home unannounced?" Theo asked, eyes holding deep regret as he looked towards the bar and the Firewhiskey behind the counter.

"Of course I'm not arriving unannounced. I was invited to tea with Mrs Zabini this afternoon, and had planned on arriving after meeting you, but we can arrive a little earlier."

Theo had a feeling that Pansy had planned this from the start.

It was going to be a long day.
