"It doesn't seem like there are too many of us taking Divination."

"Professor Firenze is the only reason I'm still taking the class," Lavender confided in Parvati, who quickly nodded in agreement as she bit into her morning toast.

"I know, right? Can you imagine having to take something as dull as Arithmacy or Ancient Runes? I mean, they're ancient for a reason!" Parvati said. "Can you imagine being in a position where you're forced to take it? That would be terrible!"

"Have you seen the amount of homework they get? I wouldn't have nearly enough time for that much homework. It's difficult enough managing everything now with the little bits of homework we get," Lavender complained, buttering her own piece of toast. "I swear I'm about to develop bags under my eyes!"

"I don't know how my sister manages it. I know I would never be able to," Parvati said, sighing as she glanced towards the Ravenclaw table where her sister sat with her head buried in a book Parvati would never have even thought of looking at.

"Sometimes I wish I was just a little bit smarter than I am now," Lavender said thoughtfully. "I mean, I would need to put in less effort to get everything done, right? So I would have more time to do more important things."

"Yeah. I mean have you seen that sixth year Hufflepuff?"

"You mean, Adrian?"

"You know him!?"

"Bumped into him a couple of days ago," Lavender said, the shrug she added after her words was definitely not as careless as it should have been. "Asked him for his name."

Parvati's eyes widened, "You didn't!"

Lavender's façade broke to show her excitement, "I know! I didn't even have to boldly walk up to him like we'd planned to do!"

Parvati squealed, "You have to introduce me to him! You can't keep that kind of hotness to yourself!"

"I was kind of hoping to, though…"

Parvati threw a grape at her.
