Hermione ran her hand along the edge of her bag as she searched for the apple she had taken at breakfast. Her parents had ingrained the good that apples did into her mind from a young age, and, even now, she couldn't help but enjoy them even if her parents weren't around.

It was more of a habit now, one her parents were delighted with. Teeth were important, after all.

Hermione couldn't quite understand how Harry and Ron, and most of the Gryffindors to be honest, preferred the sickly sweet food the house elves often provided for desert. The Ravenclaw table was filled with food that was often far healthier than any on the Gryffindor table.

Her parents would be horrified if they knew all the damage she was doing to her teeth every day. They would have ensured she take extra floss, or something, with strict instructions on how to use it.

Hermione was rather thankful they didn't know.

She was teased enough as it was.
