Draco glared across the hall to where a bunch of Gryffindors surrounded Neville, who looked extremely embarrassed despite all the praise being thrown his way. Draco couldn't believe he had just been insulted by the bumbling Gryffindor, in front of everyone.

He had been insulted, and embarrassed in front of everyone! Everyone! Whatever was left of his pride and dignity was in tatters! Draco could see the mocking laughter lurking at the back of everyone's eyes as they looked at him. Their whispers were haunting him now, and he wasn't sure whether the whispers were still there or if they had died down already, but the sound was still ringing in his ears. Their words still echoed in his mind.

Neville definitely wasn't getting away with this, and Draco wasn't about to forget it.

"Father's going to hear about this!" Draco muttered, stalking into the classroom.
