Chapter 2 Hope And Despair
This Chapter has been rewritten a little
It has been 6 months since Sonic was defeated and Dr Robotnik took over the world.
Back at station square the citizens were released from the jail cells everyone except Tails, Amy, and Knuckles since they were allies of Sonic But luckily Shadow and Silver were able to break them out.
Meanwhile The citizens around the world were trying to get back to their normal lives but it was hard with all the new changes.
Robots now roam the streets and egg carriers were flying above the cities
people have to get people have to get permission from the robots to go to places and they also have to wear clothes design by Robotnik.
The citizens are also forced to work at factories to make more robots anyone who refused got executed.
MYSTIC RUINS 10:00 AM
Meanwhile at the mystic ruins lived the old house that was the entrance to Robotnik's old lab which he abandon after he took over .
Inside the abandonded Labatory was the Resistance Tails the fox, amy rose, knuckles the echidna , shadow the hedgehog, rouge the bat, , silver the hedgehog, blaze the cat, vector the crocodile, espio the chameleon, charmy the bee, and cream the rabbit who lives with the resistance after robots arrested her mother.
" Robotnik's Army is unstoppable , without sonic the people are losing hope and giving into despair" said vector
" Despair is a luxury we don't have." said shadow
amy sighed sadly" i still dream sonic is with us are you sure he's...you know"
" i'm a optimist but i'm also a realist sonic is gone amy if were gonna win we have to do it without him" said silver
" silver is right we have been waiting for a miracle for the past 6 months but now we must make are own miracle" said espio
" but how" said charmy
Everyone was silent they really have no idea how there gonna beat robotnik.
" i still can't believe my mom is in jail" said cream as she started crying
Rouge, Blaze, and Amy comfort her.
then suddenly the entrance to the hideout open revealing knuckles
" hey everyone i'm back" said knuckles
" knuckles how things going in the city" said silver
" same as it was the last 6 months" said knuckles
" yeah that figures so what were you even doing out there" said rouge
"i was trying to find a robot to interrogate hoping they would give me some information on the guy who killed sonic" said knuckles
everyone then looked sad
knuckles sighed" sorry i'm still not used to saying that...anyway i tried to get one of the robots to give me some information about infinite but then chaos showed up i tried to fight him off but then more robots showed up and i knew i was outnumbered so i had to fall back and ran back to the hideout"
" so now what do we do" said blaze
" well...i think its time for another meeting" said knuckles
" oh great another one" said rouge
" come on guys we need to think of a way to defeat robotink and his empire" said knuckles
" just how exactly are we gonna defeat robotnik, its seems no one can even lay a scratch on this infinite guy, chaos, mephiles, black doom, and zavok are back and stronger than ever, sonic is dead, and robotnik's army completely out numbers us" " said vector
" as much as i hate to admit it i think vector is right...i really don't see how were gonna fix this situation" said blaze
" hey don't be such downers we can fix this" said charmy
" but how charmy HOW are we gonna fix this" said vector
" well um...silver say something" said charmy
" come on guys we can't lose hope" said silver
" what hope" said vector
" look we were able to defeat robotnik before and this isn't the first time he had some powerful guy work for him so what makes this time any different" said espio
" because back then we had mr sonic" cream said
" we don't need sonic to defeat the doctor we can handle him are selves" said shadow
" well so far we haven't been able to accomplished anything on getting rid of him and his army" said rouge
" look guys i really don't see how were gonna fix this so we might as well just give up" said vector
" no vector we can't and why are you being such a coward all of a sudden this isn't like you" amy shouted
" i'm not being a coward i just don't want anyone else i know to die alright we already lost sonic i don't want to lose anyone else" vector shouted back
for the past few minutes everyone was arguing weather they can defeat the eggman empire or not until knuckles had enough
" ENOUGH" knuckles shouted
everyone stopped arguing and looked at knuckles
" look everyone i know things might seem hopeless right know but i'm sure will think of something right tails" said Knuckles
knuckles looked around and notice tails wasn't around
" hey where's tails" said knuckles
" i think he's still in his room" said blaze
" i'll go get him" said amy
amy walked away from the gang and walked down the hallway she got to tails room door she opened the door to see tails sitting at a desk while looking at a picture of sonic
" hey tails" said amy
" tails turned his head a little to see amy
" hey amy" tails said quietly
" you okay" said amy
" i guess" said tails
amy saw tails looking at the picture of him and sonic she knew exactly how tails felt sonic's death hit hard for everyone but it was tails who took it the worse whenever they were not out trying to defeat robotnik tails would spent his time alone in his room whenever amy would check on him he always looked so sad.
amy is worried that tails might be going through depression
" hey um knuckles and rest of the gang are trying to think of a way to defeat robotnik why don't you join us" said amy
" i think i'll pass" said tails
" oh...okay" said amy
" hey um amy" said tails
" yeah tails" said amy
" do...you think sonic is still alive" said tails
" what do you mean" said amy
" well i been thinking i don't think robotnik would kill sonic right away he hates him too much to just kill him he probably wants to make him suffer. what if he's kidnapped him holding him prisoner somewhere...if we knew where he was...maybe we could save him" said tails
amy remained silent she didn't know what to say" tails i...i...i would like to believe that...but...i think its best not to give your hopes up" she said
" oh...i see...hey um listen i think i'm gonna go out and get some fresh air" said tails
" you sure" said amy
" yeah' said tails
" well okay just be careful don't get seen by any robots" said amy
" right got it" said tails he then left the room he took the secret exit because he didn't feel like seeing and talking to the rest of the gang right now
amy watched tails leave through the secret exit she sighed and went back to the main room with the rest of the gang
" so hows tails' said cream
" he wasn't in the mood to join the meeting he went out he said he wanted to get some fresh air" said amy
" i see so how is he holding up" said knuckles
yeah how was he doing" said blaze
" was he still looking at that picture of sonic" said silver
" yeah" said amy
knuckles sighed
" poor sweetie he really misses sonic" said rouge
" we all miss him rouge" amy said sadly
OUTER SPACE 10:30 AM
High Above The Earth Was Dr Robotnik's New Lair The Death Egg 2 It Was Shape Like The Death Star And It Had Dr Robotnik's Eyes And moustache .
Inside the space station were 10 floors the 5th one was a room of people in jail cells.
The people were in there because they tried to stand up to Robotnik.
The 2nd floor had escape pods.
The 1st floor had Dr robotnik's office and 1 jail cell that's obtaining a blue hedgehog.
Dr robotnik was watching the camera's on his computer.
he had chaos , mephiles, black doom, and zavok each of them watch over a city to make sure the citizens stay in line. he had chaos at station square, mephiles at soleanna, black doom at westopolis, and zavok at grand metropolis. as for the other cities he just relies on the robots to watch over the other cities
he was watching the many camera's on his computer he saw chaos taking citizens to the factory there forced to work in at station square, mephiles hovering over the city of soleanna making sure everyone stay in line, black doom in westopolis was putting prisoners in a prison ship, and in grand metropolis a citizen took out gun and tried to shoot zavok but zavok slapped the gun out of his hand and killed the guy.
even after 6 months He still couldn't believe it after years of failure and humiliation he finally won
He looked at the picture at his desk it was a picture of his grandfather Gerald Robotnik and his cousin Maria Robotnik.
"Grandfather i wish you could see me now and maria i'm sorry you had to die at such a young age you would have made a great scientist oh and by the way i had infinite kill most of the GUN soldiers and i even captured the GUN commander so i guess you can say we avenge your death" said Robotnik
" Are you talking to a picture" said cubot
Robotnik turn around to see orbot and cubot
" no what do you 2 want' said robotnik
" well the prisoner said he wants to see you" said orbot
Robotnik walked out of the office an walked up to the prison cell that was on the same floor inside the cell was sonic he was still alive but was badly bruised and exhausted and his arms and legs were chain up against the wall.
" had a good night sleep rodent" said robotnik
" i hadn't had a good night sleep since i was brought here" said sonic
" so my minions told me you wanted to see me" said robotnik
" yeah i need some food please i"m starving" said sonic
" very well than hedgehog i will give you some food" said robotnik
FEW MINUTES LATER
robotnik came back a bowl of food he opened sonic's cell and threw the food on the floor
It was catfood
but sonic didn't care he was so hungry he will eat anything so he ate the catfood.
" if your wondering how i am doing i'm doing great less and less people are trying to rebel against me because they now realized there no math for my army . i can't find your friends anywhere maybe they finally realized how pointless it is to fight back and left this planet" said robotnik
" your wrong my friends are gonna break me out of here and when they do me and them are gonna kick your-"
" oh infinite" said robotnik
" yes master" said infinite
" remind are prisoner what happens when he talks back" said robotnik
infinite punched sonic hard in the stomach
sonic groan in pain
" you might as well stop thinking about that your friends and everyone else thinks your dead" said robotnik
" your never gonna be rescued and your gonna spend the rest of your life in this cell" said robotnik
Dr robotnik closed sonic's prison cell and then walked away with infinite following him.
" i don't understand why you won't just let me kill him" said infinite
" that hedgehog has been ruining my plans for years i want him to suffer as much as possible however you will be able to kill him real soon " said robotnik
" oh really" said infinite
" yes tomorrow i gonna reveal to the entire world that sonic is still alive and your gonna kill him on live tv" robotnik said
" rubbing it in to everyone that you kept sonic alive this whole time and forced them see me kill him that's pretty cruel...i'm looking forward to it" said infinite
the doctor laughed" i knew you would"
" orbot, cubot come on" said robotnik
orbot and cubot stared at sonic for a few seconds then left with robotnik to be honest they kinda felt bad for the hedgehog.
Tears stared to go down from sonic's eyes he knew robotnik was right he was never gonna be rescued and he was gonna die alone in this cell.
" well guys looks like i won't be able to save the day this time its up to you guys know i know you can do it. i know you'll keep fighting. i have faith in all of you " sonic thought
6TH FLOOR OF THE DEATH EGG 2 10:50 AM
" you know orbot and cubot i have to thank you all of this wouldn't be possible without you guys" said robotnik
orbot and cubot were suprised their boss never thanked them for anything
" your welcome boss" said cubot
" do you know why i invented you guys" said robotnik
" to help you take over the world " said orbot
" exactly and now that i have done that i don't need you 2 anymore sooooo" robotik said as he snapped his fingers
suddenly a robot appeared and grabbed orbot and cubot
" boss whats going on" said orbot
" take them to the room of useless robots" said robotnik
" boss why are you doing this" said cubot
" because you have outlived your usefulness also now that i have infinite by my side you guys are pretty much useless to me now take them away " said robotnik
the robot took orbot and cubot to the room of useless robots he open the door and threw them in there and then closed the door.
orbot and cubot looked around the room was filled with destroyed robots.
" this place is scary" said cubot
" its not that bad when you get use to it" said a robotic voice
orbot and cubot turn around to see a robot that looked exactly like orbot but he was silver,
" hey i know you your the original me the boss said he put you in here because you were to disrespectful" said red orbot
" i was just pointing out the flaws in his plan" said silver orbot
" hey look new guys " said another voice
orbot and cubot saw a 2 robot's one resembles a chicken and the other one was green had drills for hands and wheels for feet and a pointy nose.
"Hi i'm scratch said the chicken robot
"And I'm Grounder" Said the green drill robot
" Hi" said red orbot
"Hey Decoe , Bocoe we have new friends to play with" said a happy voice
Red Orbot and cubot saw a tall gold robot and a short silver robot and a small black robot with devil like ears.
"Hi i'm decoe" said the tall gold robot
"Hi i'm bocoe" said the short silver robot
"And i'm bokkun i used to be the boss'es messenger boy" said the little black robot
" nice to meet you" said cubot
all the robots looked at each other
" i still can't believe the boss doesn't want us anymore" said cubot
" that fat jerk after all we done for him this is how he repay us" grounder said angrily
" tell me about it" said decoe
" robotnik once told me i was the best messenger robot he ever had and yet he replaces me with some other messenger robot" said bokkun
" well that's how things work around here scratch and grounder got replace with decoe and bocoe, decoe, bocoe and bokkun got replace with me i got replace with red orbot and cubot and soon the doctor will create robots to replace orbot and cubot and then eventually create robots to replace those ones" said silver orbot
orbot then came up with a idea
" you know what we all did whatever it took to help are creator and he never showed us a single bit of gratitude what do you say we go to earth tell sonic's friends he is alive and we help them rescue sonic and fight against robotnik are you guys with me " red orbot asked
"YEAH" they all shouted
" alright but we need to get to earth to do that we need to get to a escape pod" said red orbot
" but how are we gonna escape this room" said bokkun
grounder looked at his drill hands
" leaved that to me said grounder as he walked up to the door and used his drill fingers to make a big hole in the door.
" alright lets go" said grounder
A FEW MINUTES LATER
After 50 minutes of sneaking past guards the rogue robots made it to the elevator they all went in and the elevator started making its way to the 2nd floor after a few minutes the elevator stopped at the 2nd floor the robots saw the millions of escape pods.
"alright lets get into a escape pod and get out of here" said red orbot
" going somewhere"
the rogue robots turned around and saw metal sonic.
they all gasped when metal sonic started walking towards them
" oh crap" said decoe
" dont worry guys we can take them there 8 of us and only 1 of him" said red orbot
" yeah he's right lets turn him into scrap metal " said scratch
the robots were getting ready to fight metal sonic while red orbot and cubot were sneaking into the escape pod.
red orbot lied when he said they could take out metal sonic it doesn't matter how out numbered he is he saw the way metal sonic fight he could take out 50 GUN soldiers all by himself
the other robots turned around and were shocked to see red orbot and cubot in escape pod.
" hey what are you doing what about us" said silver orbot
" thanks for distracting him for us guys" red orbot said as he pressed a button and the escape pod launched
" YOU BACKSTABBING COWARD" said grounder
grounder then got shot and killed by metal sonic's blaster
metal sonic then blasted decoe and bocoe killing both of them
" no please i'm to young to die" said bokkun
but metal sonic showed him no mercy and chopped his head off
metal sonic saw that scratch tried to punch him but he dodge it and then punched a hole through scratches chest killing him.
metal sonic then kicked silver orbot to the ground he then put his foot on silver orbot's head and then crushed his head killing him.
metal sonic looked around the room filled with destroyed robots he then looked out the wndow and saw the escape pod heading towards earth
" eh its nothing to worry about i mean after all its only orbot and cubot what are they gonna do" metal sonic thought.
MYSTIC RUINS 12:00 pm
Tails was walking around in the forest of the mystic ruins all by himself
" maybe amy's right its best not to give my hopes up" said tails
tails still remembers that awful day 6 months ago when infinite defeated sonic and he saw sonic's bruised and bleeding body he wasn't moving or breathing.
after robotnik took over the resistance looked around the entire world hoping to find some hidden base where he's keeping sonic but they couldn't find anything and tails has heard on the news that some people have been getting arrested for trying to fight against the eggman empire but hasn't heard a thing about sonic.
there's not a single trace of sonic anywhere
tails sighed" its time i accept the fact that sonic is gone" he said to himself
tails looked around the forest and suddenly memories of hanging out with sonic came into his mind.
tails eyes started to get watery he could've helped sonic fight off infinite but he failed at that and now sonic is dead and robotnik has taken over the whole world.
" oh sonic how are we gonna fix this" tails thought
right behind tails was a sewer lid a big ball of water came out of it and took the form of chaos
tails heard the noises behind him and turned around and was surprised to see chaos
" c-chaos" said tails
chaos started walking towards him
tails was surprised he was a little nervous and yet wasn't either he once fought and defeated chaos in of his stronger forms so he shouldn't have a problem taking him out in one of his weaker forms right?
" s-sonic told me about this form of your y-you big drip and i fought you when you were worse and i won't fail here " said tails
tails then went to punch chaos but chaos dodged the attack he then turned into a ball and ran behind tails he grabbed tails and threw him.
tails landed on his feet he then flew into the air, chaos extended his arms and tried to punch tails. tails manage to avoid all the attacks he then flew to chaos and kick him and the face causing chaos to break into 3 balls of water.
the 3 balls of water combined turning back into chaos. he then extended his arm and grabbed tails.
tails tried to break free but it was no use
chaos was about to hit tails but before he could a large escape pod landed right on top making him let go of tails.
3 balls of water came out from under the escape pod and ran way
tails landed on the ground he opened his eyes and was surprised to see the escape pod
" what the" said tails
then suddenly the escape pod door opened and 2 figures came out
it was orbot and cubot
tails was surprised to see them
" hey look its tails' said cubot as he pointed at tails
" tails listen we need to tell you something" said orbot
orbot and cubot were surprised to see tails pull out a blaster tails shot cubot making his head come off his body.
" not again" said cubot
tails kicked orbot to the ground and then put his foot on his head
" you got a lot of nerves to show your face to me after what you and your boss did to my best friend" said tails
" tails please just listen to me" said orbot
" WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO YOU" tails yelled
" because if you do you'll know that sonic is alive" said orbot
tails got off orbot
" what" tails said
" sonic is alive he is being held prisoner at the death egg in space." said orbot
" sonic is alive... YES I KNEW IT I KNEW IT" Tails said happily
" well i'm glad your happy about this" said orbot
" come on we need to tell the other's " said tails
tails and orbot ran and cubot put his head back on his body and then followed them .
RESISTANCE HIDEOUT 12:20 pm
The gang were starting to get worried because tails has been gone for a long time
"where the heck is tails he been gone for 2 hours the mystic ruins isn't that large" said knuckles
" um yeah about tails...guys i'm worried tails might be going through depression" said amy
that got everyone attention"about sonic's death" silver said
" yeah i think so" said amy
" sigh tails needs to move on its just gonna keep hurting the more he thinks about it" said knuckles
" well knuckles its not as easy for him he's known sonic the longest out of all of us so of course his death is gonna hurt him the most" said amy
" i know its just...its just" knuckles sighed...i..i just miss him"
amy gave knuckles a pat on back" i miss him too...you know i'll never forgot the time he saved me from metal sonic"
" yeah" i still remember when he first arrived on my island"knuckles said"...you know i knew he had some close calls on some previous adventures but i never thought he would actually...you know"
" i know he always seem so unstoppable" said silver " like he was always-
" one step ahead of the situation" rouge finished " yes he did...i'm gonna miss the big blue"
" you know when i first met him i didn't think he was even worthy being my fake but now i consider him a great equal" said shadow
" i'll still remember how he saved my mom i couldn't more thankful" said cream
" you know despite being older than him i kinda look up to sonic one of the reason i open a detective agency is because i wanted to help people like him...look everyone i'm sorry for saying we should just give up i just don't want to lose anyone else" said vector
" don't worry about it vectory" said espio
" yeah we know just concern for are safety" said charmy
" look everyone i know thing seem pretty bad for us now but we can't just give up that's not what sonic would've wanted us to do" said knuckles
" yeah he would've wanted us to keep fighting til the very end" said amy
everyone nodded
then that's when tails came through the door
" tails were the heck have you been " said knuckles
" You were Gone for a really long time where have you been' said cream
" doesn't matter i got great news" ' said tails
" what is it" said amy
" s-s-SONIC IS ALIVE" said tails
everyone was stunned
" what did you say" said said blaze
" sonic is alive he's actually alive" said tails his joy was met with lowered heads and somber expressions from the group
" tails this isn't funny" said knuckles
" i'm not joking guys" said tails
" tails please" said amy
" listen to me guys i'm serious here they'll prove it" said tails
orbot and cubot then entered the room
everyone was surprise to see robotnik's henchman they glared at them and then pulled out guns
" no wait they are on our side now" said tails
" what do you mean" said vector
" we want to join the resistance and fight back against robotnik" said orbot
everyone hesitated for a moment and then pulled their guns down
" anyway tails is right sonic is alive he is being held prisoner at the death egg in outer space" said orbot
Everyone gasped
" sonic...is alive" said amy
" are you serious" said silver
" and robotnik has rebuild the death egg that's not good " said charmy
" now hold on now are you sure we can trust these 2 robots they do work for the doctor after all for all we know they could be leading us to a trap" said shadow
" yeah shadows has a point" said rouge
" look i get why you wouldn't trust us but were telling the truth sonic is alive and you have to rescue him soon because tomorrow the boss is gonna have him executed on live tv
everyone gasped
" well lets not just stand here we have to rescue him now" knuckles said
" probably not a good idea because the death egg is heavily guarded and all of you going will make it easy to get caught so i think its best if just one of you go" said orbot
" then i'll do it" said tails
" are you sure tails orbot did say the death egg is heavily guarded are you sure you can handle it" said" knuckles
" yes i'm sure " said tails
knuckles sighed
" okay then" said knuckles
" here take this you might need it" said shadow as he gave tails a blaster.
" thanks" said tails
" tails... please save sonic" said amy
" don't worry amy i won't let you guys down" said tails
" we know you can do it tails" said knuckles
" good luck" said silver
" thanks" said tails he then looked at orbot and cubot
" orbot, cubot you guys are coming with me i might need your help around the death egg" said tails
orbot and cubot nodded.
and with that the 3 left
" so you think tails will be able to rescue sonic" said rouge
" don't worry i seen tails in action he's got this" said knuckles
" so vector do you still think we should give up" said espio
" i was wrong...perhaps there is some hope" said vector
TAILS WORKSHOP 12:55 pm
after sneaking past some robots tails, orbot, and cubot made it to tails workshop they walked up to the tornado
" so um how is a plane gonna work in space" said cubot
" watch this" tails said as he pressed a button on the tornado
" tornado rocket mode engage " said tails as the tornado turned into a rocket
" cool" orbot and cubot said
Tails , orbot and cubot got into the rocket
"Hang In There Sonic I'm Coming" Said Tails As He Pressed The Start Button On The Tornado Rocket .
It Turned On And It Blasted Off In Space.
