Chapter 4 The mysterious Pink Ruby
It has been one week since sonic was rescued from the death egg and While its good that sonic is back it doesn't change the fact that the world is still being controlled by dr robotnik.
THE RESISTANCE HIDEOUT 9:00 AM
sonic, tails, amy, knuckles, shadow, silver, rouge, blaze, cream, vector, espio, and charmy, were all sitting at a huge table. they were trying to think of a plan to defeat dr robotnik.
" alright guys how are we gonna defeat robotnik" said sonic
Everyone was thinking
" i think the key to defeating robotnik is to figure out how he won in the first place " said silver
" maybe it was because of his large army of robots" said charmy
" but we were able to defeat robotnik's army of robots before without trouble in the past so what makes this time any different" said cream
" infinite" said sonic
" yeah that guy in the mask he was working alongside robotnik and defeated sonic " said amy
" he was unstoppable he defeated sonic, us, and most of the GUN soldiers" said knuckles
" lets not forget chaos, mephiles, black doom, and zavok" said tails
" now that i'm thinking about it how did robotnik manage to rally up those villains" said knuckles
" that's what i'm wondering chaos is supposed to be at peace, mephiles shouldn't even be existing, shadow defeated black doom, and why is zavok working for robotnik they hate each other.
" i don't know but it seems them and infinite are the reasons robotnik was able to take over the world" said knuckles
" so to defeat robotnik we have to defeat this infinite guy" said rouge
" yeah with infinite gone robotnik and his army will be no match for us" said sonic
" but how are we gonna defeat infinite when no one can even lay a scratch on him" said espio
" how is he so powerful" said blaze
" maybe we could figure that out by watching the fight between sonic and infinite" said tails
" how?" said sonic
" i have a video of it on my miles electric after i scanned infinite it recorded the whole fight" said tails
tails then plugged his miles electric to the big computer screen it then showed the fight between sonic and infinite.
" wow he didn't show any mercy you guys didn't stand a chance " said vector
" yeah we know no need to rub it in" said knuckles
sonic was watching the video and then something caught his eye he noticed whenever infinite attacks the pink ruby on his chest glows.
" hey guys check this out whenever infinite attacks the pink ruby on his chest glows" said sonic
everyone looked at the video infinite was creating a ball of energy they looked at his chest and saw the pink ruby glowing brightly
" hey he's right the ruby on his chest glows whenever he attacks" said silver
" so is that pink ruby the source of his power" said amy
" i think it is" said sonic
" hey that pink ruby looks familiar" said tails
" it does" said sonic
" yeah i think i saw that pink ruby on one of professor pickle's manuscripts at spagonia university if we go there we could look at that manuscript and figure out what that pink ruby is and then maybe figure out a way to defeat infinite" said tails
sonic smiled
" well i guess were taking a trip to spagonia" said sonic
" but how are we gonna get there i don't think we can all fit in tails plane and we can't go out in public and go to a airport because were wanted by the eggman empire" said knuckles
meanwhile shadow was on the other side of the room looking at the outside security cameras then something caught his eye. he overheard the gang's conversation about the pink ruby, going to spagonia , and trying to find a way to get there. so the thing he sees on the camera might come in handy.
" hey guys you might wanna check this out" said shadow
the gang looked at security camera's that were outside and saw an egg carrier landing on the ground
" you guys said you need a ride to spagonia well i think this might come in handy" said shadow
" i think we found are ticket to spagonia" said sonic
MYSTIC RUINS FIELD 9:10 AM
a egg carrier landed in a big green field in the mystic ruins the door on the egg carrier open and 26 robots came out of it they were taking supplies to the robtot making factory that's in station square.
while they were getting the supplies they saw a blue light flew past them
" what was that" said a robot
suddenly a smoke bomb landed infront of the robots it exploded blinding the robots with smoke
" whats going on i can't see" said another robot
sonic and his friends emerged from the smoke.
sonic destroyed 5 robots with a homing attack
tails shot 3 robots with his blaster
amy smash 2 robots with her hammer
knuckles destroyed 5 robots with his fist
shadow dodge the robots blasters and destroyed 4 of them with a homing attack.
a robot shot a missile at silver but silver use his telekinesis powers to send the missile back at the robot destroying it.
rouge defeated 2 robots with sharp kicks
a robot tried to punch cream but she dodge his attack and gave the robot a dropkick sent it a few feet away the robot got back and tried to attack again but blaze finished the robot off by throwing a fireball at it
espio and charmy took a rope and tied up 3 robots and then vector destroyed them all with a ground pound.
the smoke cleared showing sonic and friends and the pile of destroyed robots.
" that went well thanks for the smoke bomb espio" said sonic
" you're welcome " said espio
sonic and the gang got into the egg carrier
" so tails can you fly this thing" said sonic
" sure flying this will be a piece of cake" said tails. he sat on the seat next to the control panel and pressed the blue button that turn on the ship.
the ship turned on and started to rise from the ground and into the sky
" spagonia here we come" said tails
the egg carrier then flew into the sky
THE SKY 10:00 PM
" will be at spagonia in 30 minutes" said tails
" thanks tails" said sonic. he then walked up to the others they were all looking at a map of spagonia
" here's the plan guys to avoid getting caught by robots will climb up to the rooftops and get to spagonia university from up there" said knuckles
" but what about the egg carriers in the sky won't they see us" said shadow
" don't worry those thing are high up in the sky were to tiny for them to see us" said knuckles
" okay then" said silver
" so that's the plan guys go up to the rooftops to avoid attention understood" said knuckles
everyone nodded
" good" said knuckles
everyone then separated and did their own thing while they waited to get to spagonia.
A FEW MINUTES LATER
sonic was walking around the egg carrier but stopped when he saw amy who looked kinda sad
" hey amy you okay " said sonic
" oh i'm fine sonic w-why do you asked" said amy
" well it looks like somethings bothering you what's wrong" said sonic
amy sighed
" well it just what if the manuscript says there's no way to destroy the phantom ruby and if we can't destroy the phantom ruby we can't defeat infinite and if we can't defeat infinite we can't defeat robotnik" said amy
" hey don't think like that" said sonic
" i know i shouldn't but robotnik has taken over the entire world and his army has arrested and killed many people...and i'm worried about you fighting infinite again because the last time you fought him he nearly killed you...we already lost you once sonic i don't want to lose you again." said amy
" hey listen" sonic said softly. he put his hands on amy's shoulder and looked into her eyes.
" i know it might seem a little hopeless but things will work out in the end just like they always do and i promise that one way or another we will defeat eggman " said sonic
amy smiled and then hugged sonic
" thanks sonic you always know how to make me feel better" said amy
sonic smiled and hugged back
" your welcome" said sonic
" everyone were now approaching spagonia" said tails
SPAGONIA 10:30 AM
the resistance has finally arrived at the cultural city spagonia there were other egg carriers close to them but the other egg carriers didn't pay any attention to them because they were in a egg carrier so the so the other egg carriers probably thought they were one of them.
" alright tails land there" said sonic
" roger that" said tails
tails was driving the egg carrier to the outskirts of the city he then landed the egg carrier behind a mountain so no can see them
" ladies and gentlemen we have reached are destination" said tails
the resistance got out of the egg carrier and saw the city in the distance
" alright guys lets go" said sonic

the resistance were on the rooftop to avoid getting caught by robots they looked down to see what was going on the city was just as guarded as station square robots were roaming around the city and citizens were walking around as well. there was also a statue of robotnik and the middle of the city
sonic looked around some and then saw spagonia university in the distance
" there's spagonia university lets go" said sonic
the resistance were running and jumping from building to building they trying their best not to get caught by robots they then eventually made it to the roof of spagonia university they looked down and saw 10 robots guarding the entrance.
" now how are we suppose to get in. the front entrance is guarded by robots" said blaze
there thoughts were interrupted when they heard a scream for help
" what was that" said vector
" guys it coming from down there" said rouge
the resistance looked down and saw a man and robots in a alleyway the robots were about to attack the man
" those robots are gonna hurt that man" said cream
" we gotta help him" said charmy
" already on it" said sonic he jumped off the building landed in the alleyway and destroyed all the robots
the rest of the gang jumped and landed into the alleyway
" you alright" said sonic
" yes thanks" said the man
tails got a better look at the guy
" hey jim its you" said tails
" oh tails, sonic good to see you 2 again" said the man now revealed to be jim
" you know this guy" said espio
" yeah he's professor pickle's assistant" said tails
" its nice to meet you jim" said amy
" its nice to meet you allt too" jim asked
" so why were you being attacked by robots" said vector
" well i was running a errand for professor pickle and robots came and tried to arrest me because i walked past the robotnik statue and didn't say a compliment about robotnik" said jim
" uh compliment?" said sonic
" yeah a law here in spagonia is that when we walk near the robotnik statue we got to bow down to it and say something nice about robotnik" said jim
sonic rolled his eyes
" so the robots chased me and cornered me in this alley so yeah again thanks for the save...now i'm curious what are you guys doing in spagonia" jim asked
" listen jim we need to see professor pickle has quick as possible but we need a way to get in there without getting caught" said sonic
" oh...i see here follow me" said jim
INSIDE SPAGONIA UNIVERSITY 10:50 AM
" okay class today all of you will be writing a essay on why are leader dr robotnik is the greatest leader in the whole world" said professor pickle
the entire class groaned
" i know i don't want you guys to do it either.. but its the law" said professor pickle. ever since dr robotnik took over he's been forced to teach classes that were made by robotnik himself
then the back door opened revealing jim
" ah jim your back you took a little longer than i expected" said professor pickle
" sorry about that professor" said jim
" oh no harm done" said professor pickle
" thanks anyway professor anyway i want to let you know we got company" said jim
" oh really what kind of company" said professor pickle
" special kind" said jim
sonic then walked in
" hey professor long time no see" said sonic
" sonic... oh my goodness your alive" said professor pickle

" but dr robotnik said your dead that no good liar" said another female student
" what are you doing here" said another male student
" well me and my friends are...wait speaking of my friends hey guys the coast is clear you can come in" said sonic
the resistance came in from the back door
" hi professor" said tails
" good to see you tails and you to ms rose" said professor
" its great to see you again professor" " said amy
professor pickle then looked at knuckles, shadow, silver, rouge, blaze, cream, vector, espio, and charmy
" sonic are these other friends of yours" said professor pickle
" yes we are " said shadow
" professor meet knuckles, shadow, silver, rouge, blaze, cream, vector, espio, and charmy," said sonic
" well its a pleasure to meet all of you" said professor pickle
" its a pleasure to meet you to" said cream
" so sonic what are you and your friends doing here" said professor pickle
" professor i think we figured out a way to defeat robotnik"

" so let me get this straight to defeat robotnik you need to defeat that powerful masked figure that's working for him and you think the source of his power is the pink ruby on his chest and you think i have a manuscript on the pink ruby" said professor pickle
" yes" said sonic'
" hmm can i see a picture of this infinite guy" said professor pickle
" sure " said tails. he plugged his miles electric into a computer and showed the video of the fight between sonic and infinite he then paused the video and zoomed in on infinite
professor pickle looked at the ruby on infinite's chest
" i have seen that pink ruby before its on one of my manuscripts" said professor pickle
" i knew it" said tails
" all of you follow me to back room" said professor pickle

the resistance and jim watch professor pickle dig through his pile of manuscripts he then pulled one out.
" is this it" said professor pickle. he showed the manuscript to the resistance. the manuscript had lots of words on it and it had a pink ruby in the center.
" that's the pink ruby on infinite's chest" said amy
professor pickle then started reading the manuscript
" its called the phantom ruby its a powerful gemstone that takes control of people's visual and depth perception` to feed false information to the brain creating a new reality for them and can also create virtual projections that have mass and form to interact with the world around them it can also empower and alternate beings it also can warp the fabric of space time allowing it to open portals to other dimensions it also says here that because of its massive amount of power anyone who possess the phantom ruby will be nearly unstoppable" said professor pickle
" is there anyway we can defeat infinite" said silver
" luckily there is" said professor pickle
the resistance sighed in relief
" is says here that the only way to defeat a being that possess the phantom ruby is a being that possess the 7 chaos emeralds because the chaos emeralds are the only thing that is just as powerful as the phantom ruby
"you mean like super sonic" said tails
" yes the super sonic form is create with the energy of the chaos emeralds so if sonic goes into his super form he should be able to defeat infinite" said professor pickle
" so what your saying is if i get the chaos emeralds and change into my super form i can defeat infinite" said sonic
" yes" said professor pickle
sonic smiled
" defeating robotnik and infinite might be easier than i thought" said sonic
" so where are the chaos emeralds" said knuckles
" there at my house at green hill zone" said sonic
" you have a house a green hill i thought you lived at station square" said cream
" i have a house at station square and green hill i also have one in soleanna too" said sonic
" why do you have so many houses" said rouge
" well you know me i don't like to stick around in one place i like to travel" said sonic
" oh " said rouge
" hey professor pickle you think we could borrow that manuscript" said tails
" sure" said professor pickle. he then gave the manuscript to tails"
" thanks" said tails
" alright gang lets move out" said sonic
" good luck to all you" said professor pickle
" yes good luck to you guys and thanks for saving me earlier" said jim
" thanks professor and your welcome jim" said sonic
OUTSKIRTS OF SPAGONIA 11:00 AM
the resistance manage to sneak out of the city they then got back into to their ship
" next stop green hill zone" said tails. he then pressed the start button
the egg carrier turned on and then flew into the sky
the resistance and professor pickle were unaware that there were tiny cameras inside spagonia university
THE DEATH EGG 11:01 AM
dr robotnik was watching the tiny cameras that were inside spagonia university he heard everything about the manuscript and the resistance plan to defeat him and infinite
dr robotnik got up from his seat and then looked at infinite
"infinite i think you and i are gonna take a trip to green hill " said dr robotnik
