Hermione could only stare in exasperation as both Harry's and Ron's heads hit the table within five minutes of the History of Magic lesson beginning. She pointedly ignored the soft snored that came from both of them as she diligently took notes.
One by one, the rest of the class joined them as they were picked off by the drone of Professor Binns. Hermione honestly didn't understand why they had such a Professor (how difficult was it to get a living Professor?) but everyone else could be finishing their Transfiguration essay during the time! They preferred pouring over it into the wee hours in the morning, she guessed.
Hers had been finished through lunch. It was much easier that way, because all the tips and hints that Professor McGonagall had given them during the lesson was still clear in her mind then. They definitely wouldn't be by this evening, Hermione knew that.
The heads only rose again when the lesson was over, leaving Hermione to wonder at their ability to hear through their sleep.
