One Punch Man: Attitude Adjustment

Ch.15: Monkey Business

Not a word was said between them as the Heroes made their way back to the Bulldog, the uneasy silence was caused by Randal's actions in the junkyard. He walked a few feet behind the others, knowing they weren't in the mood to chat. Jeremy felt like a kid caught between two arguing parents which he found funny in a bizarre way because Randal was already older then both of his dads. Mia peaked over her shoulder to see Randal's indifferent expression before checking beside her to see if Kathy still looked upset. She wasn't showing as much scorn as before, but Kathy's body language was visibly stiff and tense.

When the Bulldog was in sight, Kathy hit the button on her key-chain. She gestured to Mia and Jeremy to go in first, Mia was observant enough to see where this was going. Once they were inside, Kathy turned to face Randal. She stood in front of the door to the Bulldog and held one hand out in a stopping motion. Randal knew he was in for a ear full, he stopped like Kathy wanted and sighed like he always did when a cop would list off his rights.

"What happened back there...I can't accept that." Kathy said with a rigid stare and a hand on her hip. "And I can't accept you going off on crazy torture rants in front of executives so I need to know right now...are you okay?" Her voiced softened with the last few words.

Randal titled his head slightly in confusion. Maybe he was too used to being chewed out by police, judges and the occasional pissed off boss but it was honestly surprising to hear Kathy's form of putting her foot down.

"Umm, I guess that I'm...worried?" Randal replied, knowing that was the vaguest way to explain it.

"No, worried is one thing. This is something else." Kathy said while shaking her head, not satisfied with the answer. "I figured you were gonna be a hard-ass, it's honestly part of the reason I brought you in. But that doesn't give you a free license to do whatever you want, even it does manage to get some results..." Kathy admitted reluctantly, knowing that Randal was the one who scared Junkblade into giving them information.

"Are you sure I'm not here to do the dirty work? Why else would you bother with a guy who's more than twice your age?" Randal asked, knowing that was how most of his jobs started.

"Age had nothing to do with it. I want my team at it's very best so when I saw someone who looked like he could be a good recruit, I went for it." Kathy said, somewhat insulted by Randal's mindset. "And I'll admit it, when I found out about the stuff you were getting up to before it made me worry. But then you let us get to know you, and all those worries started to go away. Now you've crossed the line twice, in the past two days! If this keeps up; I'm gonna have to say strike three, you're out." She said while holding up three fingers and then pointed her thumb behind her shoulder like an umpire. "So please...just tell me what's really going on."

Randal slouched as his eyes drifted off to the side. While wondering how to respond, he thought about how much easier things would be if Kathy was scolding him. He could see that Kathy cared even though Randal gave her more than enough reasons to kick him to the curb. This made his choice of reply all the more regrettable. One thing he learned overs years of working with liars and thieves, the smart ones do not just deny the truth; they can hide the parts of it that matter.

"I'm not sure what to do...it feels like I'm stuck in the middle of all this craziness." Randal finally replied, his eyes meeting Kathy's.

"Okay, so what does that mean?" Kathy asked, trying to get Randal to elaborate.

"Working alone was tough, but it had benefits. No need to split a payday and best of all, no one else to worry about." Randal explained earnestly,. "Guys like Spade...their usually willing to go all the way when it comes to scaring off the competition. He's probably gonna try to hit us again, and if not us then it will be someone we're close to. I don't have anyone like that, which leaves me just sitting around while I wait and see which one of you gets hurt next." He said with a hint of guilt, looking at Kathy's formally frozen arm.

Mia kept out of sight, but was listening closely. Jeremy took his seat to mind his own business, but could still overhear most of what they saying. Kathy took a moment to judge the honesty in Randal's words, looking him up and down before shaking her heard with a reluctant smile.

"You know those big shoulders don't have to carry the weight of the world, right? Kathy asked in a coy way. "I'm not gonna get mad at someone for caring too much, but I still want that temper kept in line. Are we clear?" She remarked, still looking serious despite the smile.

"Crystal." Randal replied with a small nod of his head.

"Good, hop in big guy." Kathy said, gesturing to the Bulldog with her head before turning to enter it.

Randal's relieved smile hid the guilt he still felt for not telling the full story. He kept the mask on, nodding to Mia to keep her reassured as he took a seat besides Jeremy.

"Okay..." Kathy said as she got in the driver's seat, she started the engine and looked over the monitors on the dashboard. "Time to head...ohh dear..."Kathy said, her smile fading as she looked at one of the monitors.

"Is something wr...ohhh..." Mia asked, answering her own question when she looked at the monitor.

"I don't like the sound of that." Jeremy remarked.

"What's going on?" Randal asked, leaning forward to check the monitor himself.

"Well, it looks like...a few monsters popped up in the city while we were busy." Kathy replied, her eyes counting the number of monster alerts to be sure.

"Define a few." Randal said, not liking the tone Kathy used.

"Umm...nine." Kathy admitted awkwardly.

"Oh goodie..." Jeremy said, frowning as he leaned his head on his left hand.

"Can you see if there's other Heroes dealing with them?" Randal asked, not completely sure how to read the map on the screen.

"The four blue dots show attacks where Heroes are on the case. The red dots show monsters on the loose, and one of them is already estimated to be a Demon Level Threat." Kathy said, leaning her head back in her chair as she thought over what to do next.

"Guess that's our day booked." Jeremy said before checking if his cloths still smelled like garbage.

"Do you think Spade had something to do with it?" Mia asked, wondering why so many monsters appeared in a short amount of time.

"Even if he did, it doesn't matter." Kathy answered brazenly, her eyes showing even more fervor than usual. "We clear out these monsters, then we check every power plant on the map until we end up knocking on that Hero reject's front door."

"Sounds like a plan to me." Randal said, smiling at Kathy's enthusiasm.

With the Bulldog in gear, the Heroes drove off to the nearest monster alert on Kathy's map. Doing their part to deal with these monsters would take most of their day, which left a certain pink-haired man with the perfect opportunity to execute his part of the plan. He waited until lunch time to make his move on Mia home, he was told that Master Wing's morning lessons were over.

Like clockwork, the martial artist would eat alone at precisely noon. It was not only his preferred way to satisfy his appetite after hours of training, he also used his time alone for meditation. After his meal, Master Wing went to his room to sit with cross legs on the floor. He sat in front of a simple counter with a picture of a woman with a strong resemblance to Mia even though the picture made her look taller and at least a decade older. He looked at the photo pensively for a moment before placing his hands on his knees and shutting his eyes.

The veteran fighter refused anything other than minimal security provided by the Hero Association after what happened at the hospital. This meant only a handful of agents keeping watch around Master Wing's property and all of them were taken down in the same way. A single person would approach the agent. They looked drunk, high and/or homeless and at first appeared as if they were asking for money. The agents would try to respectfully tell them to leave, only to be shoved to the ground. Before they could react, two or three more crazed people would pop out and overwhelm the agents until they were beaten unconscious.

With security gone, the gang was rounded up by their leader. They all stood in a single file line like a mocking parody of soldiers in front of Simian, who did bother wearing a shirt or shoes again. He stood up straight with his hands behind his back, pacing back and forth in front of his henchmen like a drill sergeant.

"Alright troops, our mission is plain and simple. You will go in, you will break things and when the master comes out; you will break him to. You have trained long and hard for this moment, now go show the enemy why this unit is called the Wild Pack!" Simian said with his best impression of a military tone.

Thirteen henchmen cheered madly before they turned to scale the walls of the Master Wing's property. They were careful as they moved up the small incline that lead directly to the main building. As they crept towards their target, Simian watched from afar like a proud parent.

"There's no need to keep hiding, might as well get a good view for the show." Simian said to someone out of sight, smiling as he kept watching where the action would be.

With his cover blown, Jackson jumped down from the rooftop of the building behind Simian. He kept a stoic expression as approached Simian, standing beside him as watched the operation begin.

"Let me guess, papa sent big brother to keep an eye on me?" Simian asked, even though he could not care less about the answer. "Weren't you supposed to be looking after the house?"

"Didn't feel like being cooped up, told Spade I can handle recon." Jackson said, keeping his eye on the unit moving in to breach. "Looks like their going in."

Once they were close enough, the Wild Pack smashed windows and kicked down the front doors. They stormed the building from all sides to cause as much anarchy as possible. Simian and Jackson could heart the faint sounds of wood breaking and glass being shattered from inside.

"So...how's the new body? Did you get some cool weapons? Some kind of shield? What about Wifi?" Simian asked in rapid succession as he looked Jackson up and down.

"I got upgrades, leave it at that." Jackson said, before looking at Simian's waist and remembering something. "What about you? Did Nova manage to do it?"

"Hmm? Do what? I got no clue what you're talking about..." Simian said playfully as he pretended to be unaware. "Oh wait, do you mean..." He said gleefully as he noticed a streetlight nearby. "This?!"

With speed and agility tat impressed even someone like Jackson, Simian moved dashed forward. He jumped and triple-flipped in the air while a slim, brown haired, prehensile tail uncoiled from under Simian's shorts and revealed itself attached to the base of his back. In the midst of the last flip, the tail instinctively caught the top of the streetlight which let Simian happily hang upside down.

"Show-off..." Jackson muttered, not hiding his revulsion of someone so undisciplined. "Was hours of genetic surgery really worth...a tail?"

"Heck yeah! I can move and balance in totally new ways!" Simian replied, crossing his legs while still hanging upside down. "Turns out it was really easy too. The doc said I was "Already on the cusp of transformation" or something like that." He explained before his keen ears heard something amusing. "Sounds like the real fun's starting."

Jackson could also hear the difference in sound coming from the Master Wing's school. Breaking objects were replaces with the sound of snapping bones and cries of terrible suffering echoed out from the building.

"Do you think they have a chance?" Jackson asked.

"Well, if Spade wasn't lying about how good this guy is..." Simian said just before one of his henchmen flew out of the broken front doors and tumbled down the small hill. "Nope." He replied casually before checking on his accomplice. "Just walk it off Bob."

"Can't...feel...my legs..." Bob groaned in agony, he weakly reached towards Simian for help before passing out.

"Oh, then just crawl it off instead." Simian said, shrugging his shoulders as he watched the rest of the fight again.

"Maybe you should join in." Jackson suggested with a slight smirk as he imagined Simian beaten in a similar manner.

"Nah, seems like too much trouble." Simian said while shaking his head. "Besides, Spade said all I gotta do is make this guy mad. And something tells me..."

Another henchmen was hurled out the door, followed by three more sent flying out of the windows they broke. One of them was hit with enough force to go through the ceiling, the upper half of their unconscious body was stuck in the middle of the roof.

"He is very, very mad." Simian said with a quick laugh at the end.

Hours later into the afternoon, Mia and the rest of the Heroes were still focused on rounding up the last of the monsters that suddenly appeared in various parts of T-City. Their first target was a red skinned, very angry-looking version of Cupid. The tiny, baby-like body floated above the massive crowds at T-World and used a bow to shoot people with arrows that made their targets experience psychotic rage instead of love. After a quick chase through the park and doing their best not to hurt the enraged people that attacked them, Kathy manged to shoot the Angry Cupid out of the sky. It died after crashing to the ground, making everyone who was effected by the arrows return to normal. Kathy checked the monsters corpse and found what she already suspected, a tiny version of Spade's control device around it's right ankle.

The second monster was bright pink, four-foot long pink Boa-constrictor that was wearing a purple boa scarf that coiled around it's body. The Heroes found the large snake tearing it's way through a super market to satisfy it's appetite. It tried to escape more then fight and was able to swiftly slither around. Randal was able to grab it briefly but the snakes slippery body made keeping a hold on it difficult. After an annoying chase around the entire supermarket, The Heroes managed to lead the Boa-constrictor into a meat freezer and locked the door. Now cornered, the snake tried to lash out and attack the Heroes only to get knocked out by Jeremy slamming the freezers metal door in it's face. He laughed as he noticed the door now had a cool looking, snake head shaped dent in the middle.

After calling the Hero Association to send someone over that could retrieve the snake, the Heroes returned to The Bulldog to find some good news. Two of the remaining monster reports had gone from red to blue, meaning other Heroes were dealing with them. That left just one more target that was relatively close by, but it was also the alert that was considered a Demon level threat.

The alert was coming from a nearby theater, as they drove to it the Bulldog passed an entire city block in ruins. Walls were smashed in, cars were turned over and more than a few unfortunate bodies were lying in the street. They were mangled and broken in various ways, making everyone wonder what kind of terrible creature they were dealing with. They found the monster standing in front of the theater, but they could not believe it at first. They confirmed after leaving the Bulldog and seeing the control device around the monsters neck like a collar.

"Hey...guys...?" Jeremy said, looking very unnerved. "Can I back out on this one?"

"You're kidding, right?" Randal asked.

"No, I just...think it would be better if I stay here and guard the Bulldog." Jeremy replied unconvincingly.

"It's a Demon Level threat Jeremy, all hands on deck." Kathy said sternly as she looked down the scope of the her tranquilizer rifle, she kept her aim on the monsters chest in case it decided to attack.

"Are you worried we can't win?" Mia asked, making sure Jeremy was okay.

"Well no it's just...I...well...I-I hate clowns, okay?! They freak me out!" Jeremy confessed.

"Oh give me a break..." Randal said as he rolled his eyes. "You fought living sand the other day, are you really gonna run away from a circus reject?"

"I'm not running anywhere!" Jeremy protested, even though he still looked afraid. "But there's nothing wrong with hanging back and providing moral support, right?"

"Umm...Jeremy." Mia said as she tapped him on the shoulder. "I think that's a mime." She hoped that pointing out the difference would help him calm down.

The so-called monster in front of them appeared to be a man dressed as a typical mime. He wore black pants with suspenders that were over his striped, black and white long-sleeve shirt. He also had perfectly shined, black leather shoes, a matching beret and snow-white gloves. The only thing that wasn't typical about the mime was the face. A traditional, bronze theater mask covered it with a laughing expression. As Kathy looked closely, she noticed how the mask was not just something the mime was wearing. The bronze appeared to be perfectly fused with the skin of the side of the mime's face. No eyes were seen in the holes of the theater mask, two completely black voids took their place. As the Heroes watched carefully without making any sudden moves, the mime was quietly doing an invisible box routine.

"Mimes are just clowns with something to hide, I trust them even less!" Jeremy replied, no less anxious than before.

"Just treat it like any other monster and you'll be fine." Randal said before looking at Kathy. "I say take the shot and see what happens."

"I think we should surround him first." Mia suggested, wanting to make sure they were ready for anything.

Kathy thought over what to do with her tranquilizer rifle still pointed directly at the mime. It looked like it was oblivious to anyone being around while the mime kept enjoying his routine, but a subtle chill down Kathy's spine let her know that this monster was not something they should not take lightly.

"Get ready." Kathy said softly.

The others could tell that Kathy was ready to fire at the mime. Mia and Randal stood at the ready, Jeremy did the same but was not happy about it. After a deep breath to steady her aim, Kathy fired a tranquilizer dart at the Masked Mime while his back was turned. It like the dart would hit the target at first, but the Masked Mime was able to stop it with incredible speed. Without turning his head back to look, the monster but his hand in a flat palm behind him as if it was still pressed against an invisible wall. The shattered just inches away from the Masked Mime's hand, as if a wall had actually been there the entire time.

"Oh on..." Randal said, taking a step forward as he noticed an odd gleam of sunlight around the mime. "I think this guy might be pysciiiiiiii!" Randal tried to say until he was suddenly forced back.

Since Randal was the one standing directly in front of the Masked Mime, he was the one attacked by the monster pushing his invisible wall forward. It hit Randal before he even knew what was coming, pushing him back with incredible force until he was stuck between the side of The Bulldog and the invisible wall trying to crush him.

"Gtt...ffff...mmmeee!" Randal groaned, his teeth clenched as he tried to push against the supernatural force that was controlling the wall.

The other Heroes were shocked to see Randal pushed back so easily, they all turned to look at the Masked Mime again and the monster did the same. This time, the mask had sinister looking eyes and a coy smile. Kathy tried to fire again, but with a simple wave of the finger one of the other walls in the Masked Mime's invisible box moved in front of him to block the shot. The monster started to slowly raise it's hand, making the remaining three invisible walls around him levitate as well. As the physic constructs moved, the Heroes noticed slight distortions in the air and sunlight. It let them just barely see the walls being launched towards them, allowing them all to jump out of the way just in time.

The Masked Mime was gone when they all looked again, the invisible walls that managed to pierce the street vanished and so did the one that was had Randal pinned. With nothing holding him down, he stumbled forward and fell flat on his face.

"Where is he?!" Randal said angrily as he got back to his feet. "I'll make him choke on that beret!"

As the Heroes looked all around for the Mask Mime, the monster was already watching from above. The monsters unusual powers gave it the ability to literally swim through the air by miming a butterfly stroke. He used this to float up the the theaters roof and perched on the edge to look over his new audience. He noticed that Jeremy was afraid, maybe he should go first. The Masked Mime waved his hand across his face, making the mask change to a laughing expression again. He put his fingers over the mouth of the mask and acted lie he was giggling, but no laughter came out.

The Masked Mime stood up and raised his left arm in the arm. He waved it in a circle over and over, like a cowboy with his lasso. Then he motioned lie he was tossing the lasso down at Jeremy, and suddenly the young Hero felt a painful pressure around his neck. It felt like real, thickly braided rope was trying to strangle him. He tried to struggle but was pulled down to his back, he dragged along the ground until he reached the theater. The monster pulled Jeremy straight up the building, his legs dangled in the air as he tried to break free.

With another dart loaded, Kathy tried to shoot the monster off the building. With one hand still holding the rope, the other hand put up a smaller version of his invisible wall. It was just big enough to cover his hand and block the dart. After it broke, the Masked Mime playfully waved it's index finger left and right to say no.

Mia frantically tried to help Jeremy get free, she grabbed hold of Jeremy's leg as the monster pulled him up the theater but her efforts were barely slowing it down. Jeremy's face was starting to turn red from lack of oxygen, making Randal even more worried as he tried to figure out what he could do to help. But then he had an idea, maybe Masked Mime might not be the only one who can hold the rope. After taking a few steps back for a running start, Randal did a sprint and jumped two feet over Jeremy's head. His hand reached out to where the rope should be and was able to grab it. At that moment, both hands took hold and he pulled down with all of his strength as he reached the ground.

Surprised by the human's strength, the Masked Mime was pulled forward and fell off the roof. Before the monster had a chance to swim in the air again, six magnum rounds went through his torso in quick succession. Kathy smirked, a faint trail of smoke flowed out of the barrel of her revolver. She thought back to when she was a kid that was learning to shoot by tossing cans up in air, just like Montana Jane in her third movie.

The Masked Mime noticed he was about to land on the concrete and managed to flip and mime holding an umbrella in mid-air, letting him slowly float down like Mary Poppins the rest of the way and land on his feet. Jeremy rubbed the red mark around his throat as he stood in line with the other Heroes, ready to fight the monster together.

After looking tat the Heroes, the Masked Mime looked down at his chest and noticed six decent sized holes. He looked back up, waving his hand over his face to change the mask to an expression of sadness. He used a bent index finger to rub the corner of his eye, a common way to mime crying. Another changed the mask to a face with puffed cheeks, like someone holding their breath. The Masked Mime leaned back before moving like someone blowing out of their mouth as hard as they can.

Suddenly, the team was hit with a violent constant burst of wind. It was powerful enough to make them have to brace themselves, or in Randal's case just loose their footing and tumble back into the side of the Bulldog again.

"This...is why...I hate...clowns!" Jeremy yelled over the sound of rushing wind while he clung to a fire-hydrant.

Mia managed to tuck into a small gap between buildings to avoid getting caught in the wind. Kathy held onto a parking meter with all of her strength, her hands were the only thing touching the meter while the rest of her body was flailing in mid-air. After almost a minute, the wind finally died down. As the Heroes recovered, the monster was acting like someone that was catching their breathe.

"Two for one!" Kathy yelled as she loaded six more shots into her revolver.

Jeremy and Mia knew what that phrase meant, both of them charged at the Masked Mime with at the same time. The monster looked up from catching it's breathe as he was kicked in the face by Mia and punched in the gut by Jeremy. The force of both hits made the Masked Mime slide back until he placed an invisible wall behind him. As he shook off the hit to his head in a very animated manner, the mask changed to a smiling expression again. Seeing a chance to keep up the attack, Randal did another run and jump over the younger Heroes heads to catch the monster by surprise.

Unfortunately, Randal's plan backfired. The monster was quick enough to see Randal coming and take up a baseball stance. He mimed swinging a bat when Randal was close enough, making the large human feel a metal-like invisible club striking him across the chest. The hit sent Randal flying back like he was a baseball that was hit by a pro. Jeremy and Mia both jumped to the side to get out of the way, leaving Randal to slam into the side of The Bulldog again. This time, he hit the armored vehicle hard enough for his back to leave a noticeable dent.

The Masked Mime turned his attention to Jeremy and Mia. He seemed to be inspecting the invisible bat in his hand before shaking his head and deciding that it was not the right choice. Mia and Jeremy glanced at each-other, both of them checking that the other was ready to attack at the same time again. Before they got their chance, the monster took up a fencing stance and swiftly stepped in to attack. Jeremy barely managed to dodge the first cut from the Masked Mime thin, invisible blade but it did leave a large tear in is hoodie. Both Heroes were getting driven back by the Masked Mime's constant stabs and slashing, his weapon being invisible made them all the more cautious.

"God dammit..." Kathy muttered in frustration, she tried to move around for a better angle to shoot but was worried about Mia and Jeremy being so close. "You okay big guy?" She asked with her revolver still on the monster as she noticed Randal getting back up.

"Okay...I'm done with this..." Randal said, grimacing with a hand on his lower back.

"Where are you going?!" Kathy asked loudly as she saw Randal head for the door to The Bulldog.

"Just keep him busy!" Randal shouted back as he climbed inside the vehicle.

After dodging dozens of times, Jeremy and Mia had the chance to jump back to avoid the monsters attack. Jeremy tossed a spray can that the monster cut in half, but that did not stop the built-in smoke bomb from going off with a large puff of purple smoke. Miming a fan in his hand let the monster fan away the smoke, just before another shot from Kathy's revolver hit the monster in the center of the forehead. His head jerked back from the impact, but then slowly looked forward again. The bullet was halfway stuck into the mime's mask and the expression he now had was one of pure rage. This gave the Masked Mime another idea, one hand mimed holding a handle and the other was pretending to load a magazine.

"Oh no..." Kathy whispered to herself, realizing what the monster was about to create. "Hit the deck!"

Kathy, Mia and Jeremy immediately dove to the ground to avoid a hail of bullets from the monsters invisible tommy-gun. They could see the bullets, but they could see them puncture the concrete and put dozens of holes in the buildings around them. The Masked Mime seemed less concerned about aiming at the Heroes and more focused on enjoying the moment.

It didn't seem like the monster would run out of self-made ammo anytime soon, until his shooting was focused on the massive vehicle coming towards him. Randal had climbed into the drivers seat of The Bulldog and drove right towards the monster. The invisible bullets bounced off the armored plating, but still left dozens of small dents before The Bulldog collided with the Masked Mime. Just before being hit, the monster created another Invisible wall as a shield. Randal pushed him back to the wall of the theater beside the main doors. The tires screeched loudly and started to make smoke as Randal hit the gas as hard as he could. Even with The Bulldog's full power, the Masked Mime was still able to hold it back. It took a considerable amount of strength, but the monster was slowly starting to push the vehicle back and give himself more room.

Suddenly, the Masked Mime felt a sharp pain in the side of his neck. Holding back The Bulldog kept him from looking at what it was, until his faint reflection in the vehicles windshield showed he now had a tranquilizer dart shot directly into his jugular vein. The monster turned his head to the side and saw Kathy standing close by, her rifle still pointing at him. She had a look of concern on her face, Kathy was not sure if the tranquilizer was strong enough to effect a Demon Level Threat.

With no better option, the monster had to ignore the dart in his neck and focus on pushing The Bulldog away. After pushing it back a few more inches, small cracks started to form in the invisible wall and the Masked Mime could feel his strength starting to drain. It wasn't enough to make him lose consciousness, but his limbs started to shake and the wall was cracking more and more with each passing second.

"Let's see how you like it!" Randal yelled out, he could tell the monster was getting weak and got plenty of joy out of slamming his foot on the gas again.

Eventually, the invisible wall shattered and the Masked Mime body gave out from the tranquilizer. With no more resistance, Randal was able to bulldoze his way through the front of the theater and send the monster tumbling onto the floor of the lobby. The monster had just enough energy left to wave one more hand over his face, changing the mask to a tired expression just before he finally fell asleep.

Randal was pleased with himself at first, smirking as he walked out of The Bulldog until he saw the others standing outside. They were all looking at the giant hole he just put into the front of the theater.

"Oh..." Randal said as he turned around and noticed the damage. "Too far again?" He asked while looking at Kathy.

"No...just thinking about the cheque I'll have to write for this place." Kathy said as she looked over the building, doing the math in her head.

"Are you sure the tranquilizer will do the trick?" Mia asked, stepping into the hole to see if the Masked Mime was still unconscious.

"I'll check..." Jeremy said as he walked past Mia, he took his time to calmly look around for the biggest piece of rubble before he picked it up and broke it over the Masked Mime's head. "Okay, clown's down. I feel better." He said after taking a very relieved breath, not caring that the others were shaking their heads.
