Hey i'm back here's chapter 8 i have to say i was pretty excited to make this chapter because soleanna is my favorite location in the sonic universe i loved the characters, atmosphere, and stages in soleanna and i love the soleanna hub world in sonic 06 and speaking of that game sonic 06 is actually my favorite sonic game. i love the story, characters, gameplay, level design, and soundtrack oh and i had no problem with the kiss scene.

Soleanna Part 1
THE SKY 4:00 PM
in the sky there a small ship there inside the ship was 5 resistance members sonic , tails, knuckles, amy, and the newest recruit chris they were flying to soleanna
" will be at soleanna shortly" said tails
" thanks tails" said sonic
" so were are we going again" said chris
" soleanna the city of water" said sonic
" the home of princess elise" said amy
" oh yeah actually i heard on the news that the duke of soleanna has passed away recently and now elise is the new queen" said chris
" right so tails you sure one of the emeralds is here" said knuckles
" yep that's what my radar says" said tails
the gang spent the rest of the ride being quiet til amy decided to start a conversation
" so um chris do you have any friends back home" amy asked
" oh um...well yes and no some people did want to be my friend but it turns out they only want to hang out with me because you know i'm rich those people were just trying to get on my good side hoping to get some cash from me" said chris
" oh...i see" said amy
" however i did have one true friend but she moved away a while back before robotnik took over" said chris
" well that's nice to hear and if it makes you feel better were your friends" said sonic
" really" said chris
" yeah i mean you saved me and defeated chaos that's cool in my book" said sonic
" wow thanks" said chris
" gentlemen and lady we have now arrived in soleanna" said tails
SOLEANNA 4:05 PM
the 5 resistance members looked down and saw they arrived at soleanna the city of water
" wow this town is beautiful" said chris
" you can say that again" said sonic
the gang looked down at the city and saw robots and townspeople roaming around the city, their was a egg carrier above it, and from the distance there was a death egg robot sentinel and ithere was a robotnik statue in the center of the city
" this place is has even more robots than station square" said amy
" uh oh guys look" said tails
the gang looked down and were surprised to see infinite floating around the city
" oh no its infinite" said amy
" its that guy who killed my uncle" said chris
" great just what we needed what is he doing here" said knuckles
" i don't know but we can't let him see us tails we need to find somewhere to land where he won't see us" said sonic
" i know a spot" said tails
tails then flew the ship to the new city district of soleanna they looked down and saw the modern looking buildings, boat dock, and up ahead there was a warehouse
" bingo found a perfect spot" tails said he flew the ship toward the warehouse and landed it right behind it after that the 5 resistance members got out
sonic looked around and sighed happily" ah fresh air" he said
the gang got behind the warehouse" so is this a good place to hide the ship" chris asked
" of course this warehouse was abandoned for a long time nobody really pays any attention to it" said tails
they peeked through the corner and saw human citizens and robots walking around they looked up and saw infinite floating away
" alright now where should we start looking for that emerald" said sonic
" i don't know but its gonna be hard to search around this place with infinite around" said knuckles
" sonic" said a male voice
the 5 resistance members looked up and were surprised to see the president who was holding a basket
" mr president" said sonic, tails, knuckles, and amy
" oh my god its the president" chris said in a surprised voice
" sonic its good to see you and your friends again you guys came at a good time i could use your help" said the president
" um sure but uh what are you doing here" sonic asked
" oh um...its not safe to talk out in the open quick follow me into this warehouse
A FEW MINUTES LATER
the resistance and the president walked into the warehouse inside there was big light bulb on the ceiling , on the wall was a large map of soleanna, there are weapons in the corner of the room, there was a a rectangular table in the center and also in there were 10 soleanna royal guards and the royal guard captain they looked up and saw the president is back" ah men the president is back" said the captain
" hello gentlemen i'm back" said the president he put the basket he was holding on the table"i got lunch" he said he then open the basket revealing many sandwiches each of the guards grab one and started eating them" thank you for the meal mr president we needed this" said the royal guard captain
" your welcome captain oh and we have some company" said the president as he pointed to the resistance
" sonic so the president was right you are alive" said the royal guard captain
" yep i'm definitely still alive and kicking" said sonic
" and i see you brought your friends along" said the royal guard captain
" in the flesh" said tails
" its a pleasure to meet you" said amy
the captain noticed chris
" hey um who's the boy" said the captain
" oh captain, mr president i like to introduce you to chris" said sonic
" the newest member of the resistance" said knuckles pat chris on the back a little too hard causing to him to take a few feet forward
chris looked at the president and captain with a nervous look" he he hi" he said shyly
" hey i know you your that kid who defeated chaos back at station square" said the president
" wait you know about that" said chris
" yeah one of the station square citizens tweeted about it online and i have to say that was mighty impressive of you " said the president
" t-thank you mr president" said chris
" so is it true that square square is no longer under robotnik's control" said one of the soleanna soldiers
" yep the citizens stood up to do robots and defeated them and chris defeated chaos" said knuckles
" that's great to hear and maybe with your guys help we can break soleanna from the doctor control" said the president
" wait quick question mr president what are doing here" sonic asked
" well...you inspired me" said the president
" inspired you?" tails said
" yes after you and sonic rescued me and everyone else from the death egg i realized i'm the president for crying out loud i shouldn't just stand here and let this planet be controlled by that fat scientist and some guy wearing a mask i need to fight back and free this world from his control starting with freeing soleanna" said the president
" wow that awesome mr president" said sonic
" but wait where's the GUN commander weren't you guys on the same escape pod" tails asked
" yeah are escape pod landed in westopolis but the commander let me borrowed one his helicopters and i used it to fly here" said the president
" cool" said sonic
" alright now that we got that settled can we get back to focusing on are mission" said the royal guard captain
" what mission" amy asked
" are first step to freeing soleanna is to rescue princess elise" said the royal guard captain
sonic eyes widen" e-elise" he said
" yes when the doctor first took over mephiles and infinite attacked soleanna castle and now mephiles inhabitants in the castle and they locked princess elise in a prison cell in soleanna underground lab the aquatic base" said the royal guard captain
" but we have a plan to rescue her and with you guys here it should be much easier" said the president
" were listening" said knuckles
" so here's the plan now its gonna be tricky getting to the aquatic base because infinite is around here" said the president
" yeah we know we saw him when we we got here" said amy
" well here's my idea knuckles you and one of the soleanna guards cause a little ruckus to get infinite attention and while he's distracted with you guys the rest of us head to the aquatic base" said the president
" so what do you think knuckles can you manage that" said sonic
" sure thing " said knuckles
"next once we get to the aquatic base me, the president, and my soldiers will launch a attack on the robots there and while there distracted fighting us sonic, tails, amy, and chris will rescue the princess and after that will use smoke bombs to sneak out of there" said the royal guard captain
"but wait what about mephiles " knuckles asked
"don't worry about him for now one of my soilders said he was last saw at soleanna castle which is on the other side of soleanna far away from aquatic base" said the royal guard captain
" so what do you guys think of the plan " said the president
" i think that sounds like a great plan do you guys agree" sonic asked the rest of the resistance
"tails, knuckles, amy, and chris nodded in agreement
" well alright then were in" said sonic
" alright everyone lets get ready for the mission " said the president
" you heard him lets get prepared" said sonic
" but wait sonic what about the chaos emerald" chris asked
" well...i guess were gonna have to put that on hold for a little while alright guys
the 4 resistance members nodded
the gang spent the next few minutes get ready sonic watched as everyone prepared for mission
" hey uh sonic" said tails
" yeah tails" said sonic
" so um...are you...worried about elise seeing you" tails asked
sonic thought about what tails said he still remembered that day in soleanna mephiles killed him and he was reunited with iblis and they together transformed into solaris and it sent soleanna in some time space rift but luckily elise with the help of his friends brought him back to life and then he, shadow, and silver defeated solaris after that him and elise were sent back in the past when solaris was just a small flame they knew if the flame was blown out he and elise would have never met but they both knew it was the right thing to do so elise blew out the flame resetting history...yet despite that sonic, his frends, and even robotnik somehow still remembered what happened and only elise and the people of soleanna forgot what happen.
despite remembering what happening sonic, his friends, and robotnik all agreed not to tell elise or anyone in soleanna about the solaris incident they figured it was for the best if they didn't remember.
so sonic was a little worried that if elise saw him it might make her remember some stuff
" n-nah its fine there nothing to worry about" said sonic
" what are you guys talking about " chris asked
" oh um nothing" said tails
" oh..ok" said chris
A FEW MINUTES LATER
everyone was ready for the mission
" okay everyone are you all ready" said the president
everyone nodded
" alright then lets move out" said the president
SOLEANNA CASTLE TOWN 5:00 PM
knuckles and a soleanna soldier were on a roof of of one of the buildings in castle town they saw that infinite floating in the air
" alright you ready" knuckles asked the soldier
the soldier nodded
knuckles then whistled loudly" hey over here" he shouted
infinite looked down and saw them
" oh what do we have here...its that echidna again" said infinite
" i have had it with you come down here face me like a man" knuckles shouted
infinite smirked and floated towards them
knuckles notice this and took out his communicator " alright guys he's buying it now's your chance"
the citizens noticed what was going on and they all got out of the way not wanting to get involved
infinite got to knuckles and the soldier
" you know i'm glad your here i was starting to get bored just floating around the city" said infinite
knuckles got into a fighting stance and the soldier pull out his sword
AQUATIC BASE: 5: 20
robots were doing work in the soleanna lab when suddenly the front door to the lab burst open revealing the president, the soleanna captain and guard
" CHARGE" the captain shouted
the president, captain and guards charged at the robots they took out there guns and and shot down robots left and right the robots then started shooting back
while they were fighting, sonic, tails, amy, and chris sneak past them
somewhere in the aquatic base was prison cell inside the cell was queen elise
elise sighed she looked at wall of her cell the one she gotten used to looking
" father i really wish you here right now" she said to herself
thing were not looking good dr robotnik has took over the entire world and she lost control of her kingdom and now she in a prison cell
she still remember how it happen
( FLASHBACK)
hundreds of soleanna guards were in front of elise they were right now in soleanna castle they just got the news that dr robotnik is now the new ruler of the world and they knew that robotnik's forces were on there way so they had to be ready for fight
" don't worry ms elise were ready for them" said the royal guard captain
" i trust your word captain" said elise
the all heard a loud bang on the front door the captain and all the soldiers took out their swords
then suddenly the castle door burst open revealing mephiles, infinite, and hundreds of robots
" robots stand down me and infinite will handled this" said mephiles
the soleanna soldiers charged at them one soldier tried to hit mephiles with his sword but mephiles grab his arm and then he kick the soilder in the stomach and threw him to the other side of the room
another soldier tried to swing his sword at infinite but infinite dodged the attack he then grabbed the soldier by the head and twisted it killing him
" alright lets wrap this up" said mephiles
" agree" said infinite
mephiles then created a purple ball of energy and infinite created a red ball of energy and they threw them at the soldiers killing most of them
elise screamed she was shocked most of her soldier just got wiped out she saw mephiles and infinite walking to her mephiles was holding the captain by the neck
" hello elise its a pleasure to see you again" said mephiles
" w-what what are you talking about w-who are you " said elise
"oh that's right you don't remember me because the original me was erased from history well allow me to introduced myself i'm mephiles the dark the mind and will of the sun god solaris" said mephiles
elise was confused she didn't know what he meant when he said he was erased from history how does that guy know her
" queen elise of soleanna i command you to surrender your kingdom to the eggman empire" said infinite
" n-no i will never surrender my kingdom to the likes of the eggman empire" elise shouted
" oh really...so that's how its gonna be" said infinite he looked at mephiles and nodded
mephiles squeeze the captain neck chocking him
" n-no stop" said elise
" this is your last warning queen elise surrender your kingdom to the eggman empire or we will kill every citizen in this city" said mephiles
" so what's it gonna be " infinite asked
elise sighed sadly she knew she had no other choice
( FLASHBACK OVER)
just thinking about it mad elise's eyes watery she sighed again wondering if she was gonna spend the rest of here life in this cell but here thoughts interrupted when she hear running footsteps
" um...is someone there" elise asked
then suddenly sonic appeared and he kicked the cell door down with his foot
" sup princess " said sonic
elise was surprised and a little confused as well
um...who are you" elise asked
sonic sighed in relief she doesn't remember him
" i'm sonic sonic the hedgehog" sonic said
elise looked at sonic curiously

...
...
...
...
" well its a pleasure to meet you meet you sonic the hedgehog" said elise
" Good she doesn't remember me" sonic thought
tails, amy, and chris appeared
" hey you found the princess" said amy
" oh um queen elise its an honor to meet you" chris said as he bowed
" are these friends of yours" elise ask
" yep meet tails, amy, and chris" said sonic
" its a pleasure to meet you all" said elise
" you too miss elise i have to say you even more prettier in person then on the tv news" said chris
elise laughed softly while sonic,tails,and amy gave him a annoyed look
" what i can't dish out compliments " said chris innocently
sonic, tails, and amy rolled their eyes
" so um what are you all doing here" elise asked
" were here to rescue you" tails said
elise eyes widen" s-seriously you here to break me out of this place"
" yep the president and the soleanna royal guard captain devise a plan to rescue you" said amy
" oh thank goodness the captain is alright...and wait the president is here in soleanna" said elise
" yes now lets not just stand around lets get you out of this place" said sonic
" b-but wait what about the robots" said elise
" don't worry there taken care of now lets go" said sonic
elise nodded she got up and her and the 4 resistance members exit the prison cell
SOLEANNA CASTLE TOWN
meanwhile back at soleanna castle town knuckles and a soleanna guard were dodging infinite's attacks he was throwing large balls of red energy at them in the 2 were trying there best to avoid them
" how much longer do we need to dodge his attacks" the guard asked knuckles
" until the rest of the gang rescue elise" said knuckles
AQUATIC BASE
in the main lab room of the aquatic base the president, the royal guard captain, and the guards have took out all the robots in the room
the president wiped some sweat off his face and put down his gun" nice job gentlemen" he said
" thanks mr president you did pretty good yourself" said the captain
then suddenly sonic, tails, amy, chris and elise arrived in the room
the president smiled" sonic your back and i see you rescued the princess"
the captain walked up to the princess" miss elise are you alright" he asked
elise smiles" yes i am thank you for rescuing me"
" good going everyone mission accomplish" said the president
" alright now i just need to contact knuckles to let him know we rescue the princess" said sonic
BOOM
the gang jumped to see the front door explode the smoke cleared reveal mephiles
" good evening " said mephiles
everyone was surprised
" mephiles" said sonic, tails, amy,
" oh no" elise said
the president took out his gun and fired a bullet at mephiles but mephiles put his hand out and the bullet simply bounced of his hand and reflected back at the president hitting him on the shoulder. he hissed in pain and got onto his knees
" MR PRESIDENT" everyone shouted
" d-don't worry i'm fine" the president said
mephiles laughed softly and floated towards them
" mephiles how did you we were here" sonic asked angrily
" sonic i see you have escape the death egg infinite was right oh and speaking of infinite hey infinite you can come in" said mephiles
everyone was surprised to see infinite float in the room he was holding knuckles and a soleannna guard he threw them to the gang
" knuckles" sonic, tails, amy, and chris said in a surprised tone they ran too him
" knuckles you alright" tails asked
" yeah i'm fine a few bruises but nothing too bad" said knuckles
everyone saw infinite and mephiles float towards them
" hello sonic i see you survived falling all the way down to earth from space" said infinite
" well its wasn't the first time that happened" said sonic
infinite then notice chris " hey i remember you"
chris eyes widen
" your that kid who's uncle i killed i heard you defeated chaos i have to that's impressive but you still have a very long way to go if you ever want have a chance against me" said infinite
chris started sweat and his legs were shaking
" get behind us chris" sonic said he, tails, knuckles, amy, got in front of him
" wow sonic you brought a child into all this the doctor told me you were reckless but i didn't think you were this reckless" said infinite
" if you want to hurt chris you got to get through us first" sonic said
infinite chuckled softly and started creating a red ball of energy but he stopped when he heard his communicator beeping he answered it
" infinite did you get the thing i needed" dr robotnik said on the communicator
" yes" said infinite
" good return to the death egg and bring it to me" said dr robotnik
" infinite you go on i'll take care of them there not worth your time" said mephiles
infinite looked at the resistance" until next time that is if mephiles lets you live" he said and with that he left
" so anyway i would like to know what brings you to soleanna...would it be for this" mephiles said as he revealed he was holding the dark blue chaos emerald
sonic, tails, amy, knuckles, and chris gasped
" its the chaos emerald" said tails
" why do you have that" knuckles demanded
" it turns out the doctor needs these chaos emeralds" said mephiles
" why" amy asked
" that's none of your business anyway i think its time i get rid of you pest" said mephiles
mephiles then closed his eyes and suddenly a bunch of monsters appeared they were large humanoid creatures made out of lava with cooled rock encasing their limbs like armor
everyone in the room were surprised
" w-what the heck" said the president
" w-w-what are those things" chris asked
" oh no iblis minions" tails said in a surprised voice
" iblis what" elise said
" oh uh n-nothing nothing" sonic said quickly making sure elise doesn't remember iblis
amy eyes widen" w-wait did you created those h-how did you-"
mephiles laughed" you thought infinite was the only one that could create virtual projections"
sonic, tails, amy, and knuckles eyes widen
" yes that's right we virtual projections can also create virtual projection" said mephiles
" oh no" said knuckles
" now its time for you all to die and as for you queen elise you'll be back in that cell ATTACK" mephiles said
the iblis minions charged at the heroes but resistance was already prepared for this
" were not dying today" sonic said he then looked at tails "tails"
tails nodded he grab a smoke bomb from his bag and he threw it on the ground and it exploded covering the room with smoke
" what" mephiles said surprised
after a few seconds the smoke cleared mephiles looked around and was surprised to see the heroes were gone
" WHAT WHERE DID THEY GO" mephiles shouted
SOLEANNA WAREHOUSE 7:00 PM
after escaping mephiles the resistance manage to get back to the warehouse hideout
" phew that's was a close one" said the royal guard captain
" you can say that again i have to say sonic we would've been goners if you guys didn't pull out that smoke bomb" said the president
" well thank espio he lend me some of his smoke bombs" said tails
" ok but um i don't know who that is" said the president
" so mr president hows your shoulder" sonic asked
" its fine not the worst injury i got" said the president
elise then got everyone's attention
" i just want to once again thank you all for rescuing me i can't tell you how grateful i am" said elise
" no problem elise that's just what heroes do but i couldn't have done it without my friends " said sonic
tails, amy, knuckles, and chris smiled
" alright everyone lets not get too excited rescuing the queen is only step 1 of freeing soleanna" said the royal guard captain
" what do you mean" chris asked
" we have a plan to free soleanna and defeat mephiles" said the president
" really what is it" elise asked
" well will explain it tomorrow but for now we should get some rest we all had a long day" said the president he then looked at sonic and his friends" sonic will you and your friends care to help us free soleanna" the president asked
sonic looked at his friends "what do you say guys"
" i'm in" said tails
" me too" said amy
" count me in" said knuckles
" i'm all up for it" said chris
sonic smiled and looked back a the president " were in"
the president smiled"excellent now all you get a goodnight rest because were gonna be up 6 AM straight"
A FEW MINUTES LATER
the president, the royal guard captain, and the guards went asleep but sonic, tails, amy, knuckles, and chris were still talking
" so the virtual projections that infinite created can also create virtual projections" said sonic
" yep that's what it says on the phantom ruby manuscript" tails said while reading the phantom ruby manuscript
" sigh well this gonna make things much harder" said amy
" so if mephiles can create virtual projections that means black doom and zavok also can we better warn the others" said sonic
" okay i'll contact the others tomorrow morning" said knuckles
sonic then looked at chris" hey chris you been pretty quiet"
" oh uh sorry" said chris
" are you alright" amy asked quietly
" of course...why you ask" said chris
" well you were pretty shaken up when infinite arrived" said amy
" yeah...sorry" said chris
" hey don't be sorry its understandable to be afraid of him after all he did kill your uncle" said tails
chris gave tails a sad look
tails realized what he said" oh uh sorry for bringing it up"
" don't worry its okay" said chris
" look chris if this is too much for you there is no shame to admit it if you want you can stay here in the warehouse while we try to take back soleanna" said sonic
" no" chris said sternly " the eggman empire is the reason why my parents have disappeared and i will do whatever i can to help you guys defeat them and rescue my parents it might be scary sure but i'll never know what i'm capable of if i just stay here in the warehouse " he said
sonic, tails, amy, and knuckles smiled
" i like your bravery chris" said sonic
chris smiled
" alright guys lets get some rest we have a lot of work to do tomorrow" said knuckles
so the 5 resistance members went asleep for the night
meanwhile in the other room elise was still awake she listened to the resistance conversation and smiled she then went back into her bed and went asleep while she was sleeping she was thinking about sonic
" i don't know why but something about that blue hedgehog seems...familiar" she thought
