Astoria ignored the scowl on her sister's face as she brought out the different colours of sands along with a short, flat-looking bottle. She didn't care that this was a muggle art and that she could easily use magic to make this. Astoria liked making her little sand art bottles by hand. Magic just messed the colours up over time, when the magic began fading. She would know.
It wasn't as easy as the final product looked. One mistake could very well mean starting over again if the wrong colour of sand had spread too far, not to mention there was almost no way to separate the colours again.
Which was why…
Beige for the sand…
A black line above that…
The kaleidoscope of colours that made up the sky started from the right corner, the occasional black breaking the colour as a bare tree stuck up from the ground, and another, and another smaller one…
Soon the entire image was complete, not exactly the way she had planned it to be, but it wasn't awful either. She just needed practice, and Astoria would continue to practice, because what the rest of these Purebloods thought didn't really matter too much to her.
