Minerva wandered the desolate grounds that was what was left of the once magnificent castle of Hogwarts. The final battle had ruined the place that had been something of a second home to her. The rebuilt Hogwarts would have lost some of the memories, and enchantment that the old castle had. Many mysteries would be lost forever, gone with the rubble of the school that had stood for centuries.
She was certain, though, that there would be more mysteries in the new castle. Only this time they would be mystery for teacher and student alike, making everything a bit more difficult, no doubt, but Hogwarts wouldn't be Hogwarts without those kinds of things.
It was the occupants who made Hogwarts what it was, after all. The castle had expanded and shrank over the years, and that magic hadn't died with its walls.
The new Hogwarts wouldn't be ancient, though.
It would be new.
And exciting.
