Uric looked around him, seeing fellow students who were normal, all of them the same, all of them eventually forgotten to time.

The Slytherins had ambition, but they didn't truly have the drive to become truly memorable. The Ravens had the intelligence, but never wanted to step out of their comfort zones. They didn't have the curiosity that inspired new things, content with their books and knowledge that had long since become fact. The Hufflepuffs has the necessary work, but not the desire to be famous. They would willingly work themselves to the ground and not care about the fact that they were brushed off, remaining unnoticed. The Gryffindors had the possibility for being known for their bravery, but they didn't really care for the consequences of those actions. They had no need to be remembered further than tomorrow.

Uric hated all of it. The little boxes that they had conveniently placed themselves in, perfect to be forgotten and abandoned to time, but he refused to be one of them.

He would be remembered. Uric didn't care how, or for what, but he knew that he never wanted to sink into the depths of time where he didn't truly exist anymore.

Uric was more than that.
