It was a warm summer day in the Mushroom Kingdom. A peaceful day, to be sure. Or at least, a peaceful day for most. For something drastic was about to change in the lives of the Mario Bros.

Our dear hero Mario Mario had sent his beloved baby, and totally not emotionally neglected, brother Luigi Mario to retrieve some buttermilk from the Fungus grocery store. Luigi was despondent about leaving, but Mario rather didn't feel like moving after having rescue Princess Peach for the third time in the same week, so Luigi was opted to go instead. More or less, Mario screamed the grocery list to him as he walked out the door.

Anger surged through Luigi's veins; why did he always have to be the punching bag for Mario's rage? It seemed cruel and unfair, but nobody, not even one of the toads, appeared bothered by Mario's verbally abusive tendencies. Luigi clenched his fists and a small tear fell from his eye at the thought of his brother's abuse. He wasn't acknowledging his surroundings as begrudgingly walked to the store, when something brought him out of the thoughts.

"Hey, uh, green guy? You're Mario's brother, right?" a small yellow toad asked in front of the store. He couldn't even remember Luigi's name? Luigi figured at least one of these infected funguses could remember his name, since they were connected by a hive mind. Anger boiled underneath his skin, and he had the sudden urge to unleash his built up frustration upon the small contaminated child. He was lost in his obscure thoughts again, too lost it seemed. For he didn't even realize that he'd already punted this yellow toad across the parking lot before he even had time to think. A shocked expression formed upon Luigi's enraged face. Apparently, his frustration had become so intense that he had actually committed such as violent act on a poor toad. A gasp escaped his lips, but the rage did not vanish completely.
