Chapter 49: Back together.
Tyson and Hilary visited Grandpa in the evening and to their unbounded joys, Grandpa was back and Tyson vowed he was never gonna leave him alone. Grandpa wasn't exactly the old active one but he somewhat talked and smiled, knowing that Ashlene was back. Ellie was overjoyed that she got a great-Grandpa too. She wasn't exactly sure how she should behave. She was little nervous and at the same time she had this wild prediction that she's gonna enjoy even more.
Grandpa was also shot with tons of surprises. Firstly her granddaughter in law and then a five year old daughter of them- It seemed that this recovery would be faster due to happiness.
"My temporary departure has deeply affected you. You had given me so many surprises. I will live longer by seeing you guys," Grandpa mentioned and hugged Tyson. Ashlene herself was overjoyed and their marriage date was eventually fixed.
"Damn, I'm gonna see my parents getting wed," Ellie mentioned. Ashlene looked surprised to her daughter, "Where did you learn that word from, Ell?" Ashlene asked,
Tyson hid his face with a side magazine. Ashlene glared at him, "Tyson, mind your language,"
"Damn!" Tyson mumbled. Ellie chuckled. Grandpa laughed.
"You two have done the best by getting together and sorting things. Ash kiddo, if ever Tyson hurts you; you've my permission- you can chop him anytime." Grandpa said,
Ashlene nodded gladly and Tyson rolled his eyes, "I missed this idiot too, Gramps. You know well," Tyson argued,
"She missed you more," Grandpa supported. Ashlene laughed.
"No! I missed her more!" Tyson protested,
"I did!" Ashlene chuckled in sly.
"Its declared. It was mom. I saw mom crying so many times and having mood swings missing you, dad." Ellie supported.
"Fine, fine. I will just accept this," Tyson rolled his eyes, "Hilary isn't here to support me currently," Tyson winked.
"Oh yeah." Ellie said confidently, "Aunt Hils said that you didn't miss her at all,"
"You! Becoming naughty!" Tyson held her and shook her lovingly.
"Well, well... You guys take care of the arrangements. The venue, the date has been fixed. Plan about other things- your dresses, shopping, invitation, priest, church, and the party arrangements in night." Grandpa said,
"I will do everything perfectly Gramps. Just the first thing I've to take care of is YOU." The blader mentioned deeply,
Ashlene gave a smile and Ellie gave a protective hug to Grandpa, "We will always be with you, Grandpa," she said worriedly and determined,
Grandpa kissed her softly on forehead, "Go, it's already 2. You haven't slept properly. You have school tomorrow. Don't you, kiddo?" Grandpa said,
"Yeah," Ellie nodded and obediently went to her room,
"Ash, you go and sleep. I will stay by Gramps tonight," Tyson said. Ashlene nodded.
…
"You sure- are you about to breathe properly." Tyson asked as he took out the medicines,
"I'm fine T-man," Grandpa smiled,
"You don't need to hyperventilate. Do you?" Tyson asked once more,
"Nope,"
"You are not having even a minor cold. Right?"
"Yep,"
"Okay. Just take this now and I will get you some soup," Tyson handed him the medicine and water glass and brought the hot soup in few minutes.
Grandpa and Tyson kept on talking till four in the morning till Grandpa fell asleep and Tyson slept near the foot of the bed. He was deeply sleeping and didn't wake until Ashlene came and gently shook him and told him the time. Tyson woke up abruptly seeing the time and got freshened. Ashlene had already prepared a light meal for breakfast and Ellie was ready to leave. Tyson rushed up and drove to his company quarters while Ashlene dropped Ellie to school and headed to hospital.
The couple parted with brief kiss on forehead hiding from their daughter.
.
.
.
Ashlene's day was tedious and tiring. So many cases and patients- She was just waiting for counseling to arrive so she will get a break from her work and could pursue for studies. Even through this tiredness, she was fine and was conscious. She rather was contended and her colleagues complimented that she was looking bright. She revealed the news about her marriage. They congratulated her and she was even happier. Ashlene was so happy that she just wished if the day would arrive even faster. Just few days left and she will be officially the wife of the guy she had been missing since years. Everything will be perfect. She, Tyson, Ellie and grandpa- Cool and sweet. She called Julia in her lunchtime and told her about marriage. Even Raul was overjoyed. He said it was one of her best decisions ever. He revealed the secret that he was the one who asked Ellie to let Ashlene meet Tyson through that way. Ashlene was surprised but she nonetheless heartily thanked him.
"So it was YOU? You weren't scared of me at all Raul!" Ashlene laughed,
"I was damn scared! I still took the risk for you, Ash. Realize this!" Raul shouted with a laugh,
"You know Raul, you were always right. Always. Thanks for being a wonderful friend all through these times. I don't know what I'd do without you," Ashlene said, realizing that she indeed had a wonderful friend,
"I'm always with you buddy!"
.
.
.
She called Tyson telling him to drop Ellie at home and she will pick him from home so that they could go for shopping and have some quality time. Tyson was glad and didn't hesitate. Everything was becoming fine. They had no distances now. It was just like how unbounded and open their feelings and expression used to be years back- which seemed to be returning.
I love you carefully, cautious of how deeply I dive
Though I know you mean it
It's hard to believe that you're on my side
Tyson was sure to arrive on time at home and Ashlene picked him. Tyson was frantically and impatiently waiting, sauntering the dojo, resisting calling her constantly. The sound of her car just shook his heart and a big smile occupied his face. He walked out and Ashlene revealed herself as the window panes flew down.
With his signature smile, he opened the door and walked in. Everything was beautiful. Each moment was filled with euphoria. They talked endless even on the trivial things, filled with gleeful moments, chuckling, laughing and teasing each other.
So drive slow when I'm sitting shotgun
Dive slow into new things
There's pain that I've learned a lot from
I'll help you if you help me
I get so caught in the moment
And I jump ahead of myself
When you say you can't see yourself with anyone else
They reached for the largest mall in the city and spend an hour trialing things on each other. Spending time, wasting time, talking and teasing and the melted moments passing away like wind, it all felt good and delightful, so light.
"Longer earrings like always, huh Ash?" Tyson mumbled in her ears,
She violently blushed but gave a silent nod. She wasn't sure if they would remain this resolute about their needs of each other and feelings even after this marriage. Will this lock change everything? Will Tyson change? She cursed herself even for such thought.
"Tyson?" She asked as she finally chose a pair of diamond earrings.
Tyson looked at her and gave a smile as she wore those earrings, "You will remain the same. Won't you?"
"Resolute and true." He replied. She smiled contently and stared at him cravingly.
Are you sure? Are you sure?
'Cause I don't want to let you down
It's my heart, it's my heart
'Cause we're so high off the ground
So drive slow when I'm sitting shotgun
Dive slow into new things
There's pain that I've learned a lot from
I'll help you if you help me
So drive slow when I'm sitting shotgun
"Everything will be better. We will owe each other so much for loving each other." Tyson joked.
Ashlene hugged him closely and meaningfully, "I'm really happy over this fact that I've got you back,"
"Me too," Tyson mumbled huskily,
"Drive slow when I'm sitting in shotgun," she shushed,
"Dive slow into new things," Tyson replied,
I'm wide awake and you're still here in the morning
You're asleep, oh
I have irrational fears we've fought about on repeat
'Cause I'm not used to people saying what they mean
It's all I want, so don't give up on me, woah
"Even when things change, we will trust each other. We will forgive each other and will be together," Ashlene said,
"I heartily wish," Tyson looked at her in those enigmatic blue eyes,
They reached for the other store and Tyson spend another few minutes for choosing a tuxedo. Ashlene was finally contended and they finally reached for the shoe store.
"Just like always, high feels and comfortable in your skin still," Tyson commented,
"Yeah," Ashlene replied confidently,
"Is this fine," Ashlene asked as she almost stumbled on him after she just wore new heels. Tyson caught her and she clutched his shoulder sleeves and finally balanced.
"Absolutely fine as long you hold me," Tyson smiled slyly,
"Cool," She commented in sarcasm. Tyson held her around her shoulders and neared their faces looking her domineeringly. She looked gently and softly. Everything was slow and deeper.
"You know what?" Tyson asked huskily,
"Yeah?" she asked in same tone,
"I'm taller than you," he joked and broke the moment. She flushed and before she'd react, he disappeared somewhere far off.
After they were done with the shopping, they put all the things and accessories in the back side of car and drove, deciding a church and asking the priest to be there on the day. After that, they drove to the home while texting all the invitees for the event. Everything was getting how supposedly it should have been and it all happened correctly after Gramps arrived back.
The breezes blew softly all through the way,
"Want to drop at any restaurant?" Tyson asked,
"Yep, you read me," she smiled. He nodded and took her to her favorite restaurant. After spending quality time in conversation and talks and clicking pics, they had their meals till they were full and took walks round the garden of restaurant on the backside.
"We'd get to home, now," Ashlene suggested reluctantly,
Tyson held her and nodded sadly, "Yeah, I know,"
He was so thankful right this moment for having her by his side. Their memories came flooding in his mind and he just wished if they could live through them again and again every day. He was smiling blissfully to himself. Ashlene was thinking about him as well. She didn't need anything as long as he was there. In her fragile times, his strong, possessive and protective hug would fade away half of her hurt emotions and worries. Tyson had that art. She herself was smiling contentedly with no trace of sadness and regrets. She was ready now undoubtedly to accept him as her partner as long as she was alive and she didn't find anyone more perfect than him to suite her and love her. I love you, Tyson. I really do. You probably won't understand the depth of my emotion and words but I really mean it; a hundred times profounder than you'd perceive.
Her thoughts broke up when Tyson abruptly stopped the car and she blinked and looked at Tyson. Tyson sighed and smiled at her.
"Now that you understand what a true relationship means, I'm glad we are mature for this." He mentioned in verve,
"Yeah I do. Our teen life was so wild, crazy." Ashlene blushed,
"Yeah, with all those nights!" Tyson cackled,
Ashlene flushed slightly, but giggled, "Didn't even spare the BBA quarters!"
Tyson smirked as he remembered, "You think Ellie will tease us for some time saying that she is witnessing her parents' marriage…"
"She WILL. She's Ellie Granger, which means she is as naughty as you are!" Ashlene commented. He smiled at her and she did the same, regretting shortly that this moment will soon be broken,
"You know, I really am happy today. We are finally back together" Tyson said nearing her from his seat,
"I know," she held his hands, "Love you," and she locked the moment with a deep kiss.
.
.
.
"Uh, I will get back in few hours," The blunette said as he kept back his phone in his pocket, while Ashlene turned her head to see him wearing his jacket hastily,
"Any urgent work, darling?" she asked,
"I'm not sure, my boss is calling me, said it's something important," Tyson said quickly, and he knew all well.
He hugged Ashlene brashly, placing a haste kiss on her cheek and quickly rushing out, not even giving her a chance to speak. She sighed, but then, smiled.
Tyson reached his company quarters within fifteen minutes through his car, entered the building and rushed to his boss's cabin.
"Good evening, sir," Tyson said as he opened the door. But to his surprise, the room didn't has boss, instead it was occupied by his teammates minus Ray.
Kai, Max, Daichi stared at him, looking like they were waiting patiently and eagerly for his arrival.
"Uhmn?" Tyson blinked, still holding the doors handle.
"What are you all doing here?" He asked confusedly.
Max got up and though he was tensed, he gave a warm smile, "What's taken you so long?" He asked, cheerfulness not missed,
"What are you saying?" Tyson looked at them one by one.
"Tyson, aren't you happy to see us?" Daichi asked with smile, Tyson felt the slight pain in his voice, he slightly winced,
"I really don't exactly feel happy, honestly," Tyson said with a nervous smile,
"We need to talk," Kai said softly, his voice containing tenderness and guilt. Tyson sensed it, he got seated and for few minutes there was uncomfortable silence,
"How's Ellie?" Kai asked, breaking the silence.
Max and Daichi frowned, "Who's she?" Daichi asked.
"She's my daughter," Tyson said. Max's mouth opened,
"What?" Daichi popped on the table,
"Daichi, calm down!" Tyson put him down,
"Your daughter? How?" Max asked,
"Ashlene came back, few months back. So I came to know I'd a five year old gorgeous daughter." Tyson smiled lightly, "She called you Max uncle, remember?" Tyson smirked. Max flinched back, "Are you serious? That Ellie? She was your daughter?!" Max smiled comically in delight. "Yeah, actually you've guessed right," Tyson smiled barely.
"I guess we should say congratulations to you!" Max smiled brightly. Tyson winked at him. Kai already told Max before that Ash has returned to Tyson, but he forgot to say about Ellie. Kai also told Max about his confrontation with Ashlene that day which got Max baffled.
"Why didn't you came at the tournament?" Kai asked, catching Tyson's attention,
"Had some important work and reasons, I couldn't reach out." Tyson said. Kai silently agreed, not asking further to it.
"Tyson... we are sorry," Daichi said slowly.
"Huh?" Tyson looked at him. "You're sorry for what, Daichi?" Tyson asked lowly, not missing the anger in his voice,
"I don't know why I left you after your birthday, something misguided me. I really didn't understand why. But I've realized I was wrong. I and Max both realize that," Daichi said sadly.
"We didn't participate in tournament, Tyson, both of us," Max said. Tyson blinked unbelievably and shook his head in interrogation.
"That'd have meant that we crave your title and we are envious of you. But I and Daichi weren't. I was forced, mom called and I was guilty," Max stated, his lips quivering slightly as the guilt revived.
Tyson stared at him, "Hmm..." Tyson nodded, gulping calmly.
"Anyway, I was your close friend but still...I hid from you about Ashlene, you must have felt to ignore my messages," Max said directly, his heart pounded with fear of Tyson's reaction.
"I knew that you were aware, Max" Tyson said. Kai's expression were dejected and down, feeling so ashamed, his face hung down, dark and dreary.
"I knew after Kai met Ash that day," Tyson coughed.
"So... do you know it?" Max asked again to confirm. Kai raised a brow at Max, wondering why Max was doubting him. Max's doubts were legit.
"Yep," Tyson banged fingers playfully on table.
"What's that about?" Daichi asked unaware of Ashlene and Kai's encounter.
"Nothing..." Max looked at Daichi. The red head was quiet.
"Tyson, I know I've been the most treacherous person perhaps living with you because I didn't say you even despite being by your side but I swear it was because I was feared about team-" Max tried to explain, his voice filled with implore and apology.
"I understand, don't say," Tyson said with appease, "I'll just forgive you, Maxie. You were quiet because you knew how many fights that would have caused. I understand, I'll not say you're right, but I'll just forget it. You're forgiven," Tyson smiled lightly. Max's eyes almost watered, the blue shine amplified. He got up and Tyson got up as cue and hugged him, "I really missed you, I'm sorry," Max said tearfully.
"I missed your friendship, Max." Tyson said.
"Hey, what about me?" Daichi broke their hug, brashly barreling between them.
Kai just looked at them with a sincere smile, even though Tyson didn't talk to him yet.
"I'll forgive you only after you battle me, you monkey boy!" Tyson laughed. Daichi sweatdropped. "Seriously?" Daichi's eyes widened.
"Yeah!" Tyson and Max launched at Daichi in another group hug,
"Ashlene does seem to enliven you," Kai commented with a slight smile. Tyson didn't look at him, but acknowledged and nodded.
"Tyson, I think I can't stop talking with you, honestly, but I'll just wait outside along with Daichi. I'm sure Kai needs you now," Max said and left along with Daichi out of the cabin, "C'mon Daichi!"
Kai sighed and his face hung down again. He was never the one to be nervous, that never happened. So why now? Why in front of Tyson?
"Ah, would you like to have some coffee, Kai?" Tyson asked as he reached out for his phone,
"No, I'm fine. " Kai said in a low whisper.
Tyson nodded and sat on the opposite chair, his fist resting and clutching constantly.
"How's Grandpa now? How he went in coma?" Kai asked looking at him, his eyes deprived of the ever cold attitude he always held. It was replaced with tenderness and gentleness.
Tyson frowned. 'How does he know about it?'
"Who told you about Grandpa?" He accosted.
"Hilary..." Kai said,
"You weren't there when he was coughing so badly and so helplessly and I was scared shitless about his condition. You've no right. Don't ask," Tyson knew Kai would retort but he couldn't stop saying what he felt.
"He's your Grandpa, but I've been there for him through all these years. I hated you, not him." Kai said calmly.
"Why are you here if you hate me? If it is for the battle you wanna-"
"Its not for the battle for fuck's sake!" Kai groaned, that battle and title was the reason for his messed and fucked life.
Tyson was quiet, glaring at him. "Grandpa is fine, absolutely. But he has not asked about you yet." Tyson said lucidly.
"I understand. That's valid. That's a given! After all I've been the cause of your break," Kai accepted.
"Yeah! I'm still break, Ash's the glue. To add, Ellie as well." Tyson said loudly in anguish, "Now that you've done with whatever you've wanted, just let me live peacefully with my family," Tyson said agitated slightly and got up.
"I haven't said anything yet," Kai frowned, urging him to sit back. Tyson sat back with a frown.
"If Grandpa ever asks about you, I'll not stop him from letting him meet you," Tyson said bluntly.
"Tyson..." Kai crouched and skewed towards him and held his hands. Tyson's heart bet, "I've been so rude and cruel towards you, in all ways. I know that, I can't even think of all those fucking times I've been a creepy bastard to you, but please, can you... can you probably forgive me?" His voice contained courage that he mustered with so much efforts that he never ever had put before. It was so hard on him to say that all. Tyson knew that, but he was just quiet, staring silently at his wrists clasped by the elder male.
Kai wasn't eager on hearing from him because he knew it would take time for Tyson to say anything.
"Why do you feel that now?" Tyson asked in a breathless gasp because he was truly hurt,
Kai looked at him. They stared. "I realized it, and also...when I came to know about Grandpa. That just cleared my vision." Kai said,
"What vision you've now?" Tyson accosted again, silently though.
"I'm not sure, but I'm not a bad person now I think-"
"Why you want my forgiveness? You think you deserve to be forgiven?" Tyson hauled away his wrists, "Ask that poor girl Ashlene! Ask that little girl Ellie! Ask them how they suffered! Ask how they survived! Ask their forgiveness first!" Tyson shouted furiously.
Kai's eyebrows twitched in fear, "I don't think Ash will forgive me..." Kai mumbled deeply,
"Actually you're right. You better stay away because she will probably end up having a bad fight with you even before you'd say a thing." Tyson said with a shaky smirk, putting down his fury.
Kai was quiet for few seconds, "What if Ellie forgives me..." Kai asked. Tyson almost flinched back. Why Ellie? She was a kid and a kid can always be buttered easily, emotionally.
"STAY AWAY from my daughter. She has got lot of lovely uncles, she doesn't need you." Tyson said dangerously.
"That's not my intention. I just only wish for you to FORGIVE ME!" Kai shouted in maelstrom, "I'm tired of these demons mocking me. I feel crushed, my soul is haunted! I feel so ashamed of what all I've done! With you! With Hilary! With Ashlene and Ellie! With Rose! Please forgive me! I'll go insane!" Kai hysterically shouted in agony, clutching his hair, going psycho. Tyson winced and got up and held his shoulders, "Shut up, just shut up." Tyson shook him, "I forgive you but just stop yourself loosing!" Tyson said boldly, scared that Kai was loosing himself. Tyson regretted, he shouldn't have taken it too far.
Kai was gasping for breath, his eyes were lifeless and face going paler. His head got giddy and the room seemed to whirl around him. All the accusing of Ashlene the recent time he met, Ellie's wailing and crying which he had dreams of in last night- all came back in his mind, causing him to get giddy and giving a painful headache. Hilary's accusing at him the last day when she was leaving to Florida also added. All those voices reverberated in his head, throes banging in his head.
He closed his eyes and passed out. He barely felt and remembered Tyson shaking him strongly and crying out to Max and Daichi.
.
.
.
"Is he okay, Doc?" Max asked, looking worriedly at the unconscious Kai.
"He hasn't eaten well or I might say anything since almost a week, and he's suffering from depression, I think." The Doctor said, scribbling some tranquilizers on the prescription pad.
"Hey, he'll be okay, right?" Daichi hopped in worry.
"Hope so Daichi," Max sighed,
Tyson came in the ward room and looked at his friends, "What happened?" He asked,
"The doctor said he's suffering from depression." Max said in horror.
"Knew it..." Tyson said subconsciously.
"What did Ash say?" Max asked as Tyson was out when he received a call from her.
"She was asking where I was." Tyson said dimly.
"Did you say her about Kai?" Daichi asked,
"Yeah... she's on her way." Tyson said.
"I think that will work." Max said in sudden determination,
"What?" Tyson shook his head,
"Let's call Hilary and Rose as well. If all of them are ready to forgive him, added Ash, then might be- Kai might recover!" Max said hopefully. Tyson gave a thought and nodded agreeably.
"Look at him, he looks so pale and dejected." Max expressed sorrowfully.
"Tyson, for me, my all teammates are precious to me. Be it Kai or you. I neither want to upset or cheat any of you, trust me." Max said heartily with earnest expression.
"I know, Maxie..." Tyson sighed. Max took Kai's phone, dialing to Rose, while Tyson called up for Hilary.
"Rose is coming! She's on her way." Max said, "She really seemed worried."
"Were she and Kai together?" Tyson asked as Hilary didn't pick and he was continually dialing for her.
"They worked together since past more than a month in Hiwatari quarters," Max said,
"He's lucky," Tyson smiled surreptitiously, guessing that Kai will get to Rose soon.
He was subconsciously grateful for Ryan being back for Hilary as well.
Max called up Kenny too who was coming to the hospital too.
"Wait, she picked!" Tyson said as he stuck the phone to his ear, "Hilary are you busy?" He asked,
"Uhm, why do you ask?" Hilary asked in doubt,
"Just come here at City hospital. Kai's not fine..." Tyson said.
"What? What happened?" She asked,
"I'll tell you later, can you come right now?" He asked,
"I'm coming right now!" Hilary said and cut the call.
"She's coming," Tyson smiled.
Rose was first to arrive.
She hastily ran towards Tyson, her face clearly extremely perturbed.
"He's in," Tyson said. Rose went in along with Tyson. Tyson slowly shook Kai who seemed be gaining consciousness. He didn't say anything yet.
"Stupid! You're not sick! Just wake up already!" Rose said angrily through steamy tears. Kai's eyes barely opened, excruciatingly, he gave her a small smile.
Rose stood tensed, her chin wobbling and breaths ragged. Tyson just took the cue to leave them for some time,
"I told you were brave, not some depressed maniac! What have you done to yourself!" She yelled at him, feeling hurt.
"I'm okay, now that you're here," he tried to smile. Rose felt so terribly pity seeing him like that. She exhaled out a damn breath and walked towards him, holding his wrists and looking at him pitifully, feeling hurt.
"I should have been a better supporter," she expressed, feeling expiated.
"I'm going to be okay, Rose." Kai sighed tiredly.
"You better be Kai," Rose said, "I can't handle that huge company without you." She said. Kai grinned lightly,
"What if I tell Max to take my place when I'm gone?" Kai asked to her softly with a smile, "I actually don't think I'll live anymore. My heart needs a long rest." He said. His words made her heart jolt in strange fear. She winced and hugged him abruptly, "Mike didn't die because of you, I'll agree," she cried on his shoulder, "Please, don't leave me, I've forgiven you. I've taken years to get over Mike, I can't handle more tests in life!" She sobbed tensely.
Kai gently freed his wrists from her grasp, "Will you stay by my side? I'm really alone. And I've never said this to anyone in my life," Kai asked in earnest tone, broken. Though he has said he would never leave her, she didn't, not lucidly.
"I will stay, promise you won't die." Rose pulled back and stuttered.
"I'll try," he smiled. She held his hands, interlocked, "You better do,". Kai's vision again became bleary and he was struggling to keep himself stable. "Rose..." he whispered and she leaned towards him to hear him, curious what he has to say. He just took their interlocked her hand and barely kissed it, shocking her. Nonetheless, she let him. He closed his eyes.
"Kai!"
"Miss! Get out of here, he needs rest!" The Doctor came in and yelled. Rose immediately walked out. Max placed a sympathetic hand on her shoulder. She got quietly seated on the bench,
A few minutes later, Ashlene and Hilary arrived. Ashlene was seeing Max after a long time.
"Hey," Max smiled at her. She briefly smiled at him.
"Where's Kai?" Hilary asked worriedly, fidgeting visibly. "Relax, he's inside. The doctors said he needs rest,"
"When can we see him?" Ashlene asked the doctor boldly.
"In few hours, he'll get consciousness. His energy levels are low," the doctor said,
"What tranquilizers are prescribed?" She took the pad and examined it. The doctor looked at her, "Are you a medical student?" He asked,
"I'm doing the PG now," she said as she looked at the pad, "Thanks," she said.
"Will he be okay, Ash?" Tyson asked,
"He will be," Ashlene smiled in hope.
The six people thumped on the bench, seated as Rose, Daichi, Hilary, Max, Ashlene and Tyson.
"He's depressed. Said he was feeling hugely guilty for what he has done with us," Tyson said. Hilary looked thoughtfully worried, pondering. Tyson took his phone and texted Ashlene. Ashlene took her buzzing phone and raised an eyebrow at Tyson seated beside her. She opened, read his message,
'Don't say to Hilary about Kai being the wedge between us, using her, please.'
Ashlene looked at him raising an eyebrow with wide eyes.
'Okay. I remember the promise,' She texted him back.
Tyson gulped in relief.
'Who's that girl?' She looked on the farthest side,
'She's Rose, Kai's friend, working in his company,'
'Oh.'
"Ash, how are you?" Max smiled at her.
"I'm fine, Maxie dude," she pinched him on cheek, "You didn't change though, still chubby and cute!" She said trying to be lively. Hilary was lost in her thoughts,
"Aw, thanks," he smiled, "You didn't change though, even after becoming a mom and wise doctor!" He chuckled. Ashlene smiled cheerily. "Haha".
"I missed you, Ash. Really." Max expressed.
"I didn't miss you but!" Ash laughed, causing Max to even laugh more, "I know, you're busy missing someone else," he nudged her towards Tyson beside her and Tyson's ear suddenly became active. She blushed at looking Tyson who gave a bare laugh.
"Ellie is just like you too, you know. Except that she's hugely naughty like Tyson! Isn't it, Ty?" Max smiled, trying to cheer up everyone's mood.
"I think so..." Tyson grinned.
"Guys... we can have the talks later, aren't you all worried about Kai?" Hilary asked. They looked ashamed,
"Sorry Hils, I was just trying to chill the aura," Max said,
"Sorry," Tyson and Ash said. They looked at Rose who haven't said a word since. Her face was wet and she was frantically rubbing her cheeks.
Ashlene got up and went to Rose, "Hey, you okay, dude?" She asked. Rose nodded. Rose hasn't seen Ashlene before except that she saw her glimpse in Tyson's thoughts during their stadium battle.
"Don't worry, Kai will be okay. I'm sure." Ashlene smiled.
"Hope so," her voice was quick and shaky.
"Kai is strong, he will not leave us," Max added.
"Rose, we all will forgive him, then Kai will get back," Hilary held Rose's hand. Rose looked at Hilary, a ray of hope coming up,
"Please, everyone, please forgive him. He's really depressed," her voice choked in tears.
Hilary hugged her, trying to console.
"He can't handle the guilt..." she implored, crying on Hilary's shoulder. Ash, Tyson, Max and Daichi got up, shocked and staring at her very worriedly.
"I forgive." Tyson said. Ashlene looked at him in wide eyes.
"I forgive him too," Ash said agreeably., not giving a second thought after Tyson's words.
"See, everyone forgave him, Rose. Don't cry." Hilary gently rubbed her back.
"Hilary...you?" Rose pulled back and asked. Hilary whispered something in Rose's ear, "I'll forgive him only if he proposes a cute girl like you, Rose. He can't live alone now. He needs someone,"
Rose was glad that Hilary forgave him and she blushed at what Hilary said, barely laughing through the tears. Ashlene and Max looked at each other, wondering what Hilary said to Rose.
Tyson almost guessed what Hilary might have said and he surreptitiously smirked.
"I think Hilary can be a good friend of Rose," Daichi smiled. Rose smiled at Hilary.
Hilary and Ashlene consoled Rose, while Max, Tyson and Daichi were waiting for Kai to get consciousness.
.
.
.
"Hm, Kai is conscious. You guys can meet him." The Doctor said, not saying further, trusting that Ashlene will handle the other things.
They nodded and quickly and quietly walked in. Kai slowly acknowledged all of them.
"Hey how are you feeling, buddy?" Tyson smiled at him, "Get well soon, we have a battle awaiting,"
Kai smiled at him. Kai's passion for blading has not hindered, but it was misguided one for defeating Tyson, but now, his passion has been lightened with true spirit of the sport- to have fun.
"And then, I'll battle you too, Kai!" Max smiled cheerfully.
"Me too. I'm in!" Daichi said,
"Get well soon," Ashlene said softly,
"Kai, they all have forgiven you. They aren't angry or upset with you," Rose said nervously, yet gently. Kai stared at her feebly and gave a genuine smile, staring her for longer time. Rose broke the stare,
"Um," Hilary smirked, "She's right. Tyson, I and Ash, we all have forgiven you." Hilary smiled at Kai. Kai nodded gladly and stared again at Rose.
"I have forgiven you because Tyson has," Ashlene said,
"And I have said something to Rose which is my condition for forgiving you. Ask her later, and thank me later," Hilary giggled softly.
Ashlene still was clueless, like Max. Daichi didn't understand anything so he ignored easily.
"I forgive you because..." Tyson said, Kai looked at him eagerness in his eyes, "Because I can't afford to loose such a precious and awesome rival like you," Tyson laughed. Kai smirked, getting him,
"I think its time for a group hug now!" Max exclaimed excitedly.
"Yeah, only Ray's missing," Daichi noted. Tyson realized then.
"Anyway, join me!" Max launched gently at Kai,
"Hey wait for me!" They all turned to see Kenny running, who had missed everything but couldn't miss the group hug. Could he?
"Come fast, Chief!" Hilary cried happily. The hug followed by cue by Tyson, Hilary, Daichi, Kenny and Ashlene also unsurely joined. She relaxed when Tyson held her by his side. She sighed. Rose watched them genuine happiness, eyes welled up.
"I guess we are all back together, then?" Kai asked. They just nodded at him lovingly.
A/N: Hey everyone, how are ya all? Firstly, Happy new year to you all in advance. May 2021 brings lot of blessings and happiness to us, hopefully.
Thanks to everyone for reading and reviewing previously. That means a lot :)
So... basically everything is alright now? Everyone forgave Kai, he realized his mistakes as well and no hard feelings anywhere, right? It's just the matter of wedding of Tyson and Ash now! Yeppp!
The next chapter is the 3rd last one featuring Ryan/Hilary, then there will be 2nd last chapter "TyAsh Wedding" :'D
Then a final chapter and an additional one for Epilogue. Done!
I hope you've enjoyed the story so far and hopefully I've been able to give a most probable picture of Beyblade Sequel Series. I think I was neutral with two most important and disputed pairings of fandom (TyHil VS KaiHil) lol xD
That's all for now, review if you've liked the chapter :'D
