Chapter 5:

Helga shot up from her sleep, or well she would have if someone wasn't laying on her. Or was it something. Moving to push off the weight keeping her down she was startled to feel warm scales. Panic slightly rose in her mind and she yelped, snapping out of what must have been the last of her dream. Her eyes took a moment to adjust as she took in her surroundings, if it wasn't for the lavish interior of the room her groggy mind probably wouldn't have replayed yesterday's events so clearly. "Right, I'm at Rhonda's…" She rubbed her forehead and got out of bed, much to her horror, last night when she was led into this room there were tons of necessities that she was sure weren't from her bag at Phoebe's, Rhonda had gone out of her way, and wallet, to ensure that Helga had everything she could possibly need, from soap, to toothbrushes, to even packs of underwear and bras. Phoebe's help was more than apparent, considering some of the clothing was actually wearable, but judging by the brands on the tags, Rhonda insisted on the best.

Sighing she got out of bed and made her way to the guestroom bathroom. It was nice and warm and she couldn't help but run a nice bubble-bath, she didn't get time to take a nice soak at home, Bob was always too damn bossy. She let the tub fill as she picked herself something to wear, her dream, was about Jericho her 5 foot monitor lizard, he died two years ago, but he used to lay on her while she slept. She had gotten quite attached to the beast when she was finally able to house him herself and take him out of Phoebe's hands. "I need a new pet." She huffed to herself, grabbing the baggiest shirt she could find, which was very difficult. Next she grabbed a pair of pants and some undergarments and set them on the bed. She yawned and took the fluffy robe set on the nightstand with her into the bathroom. Bob should be at work, and she wanted to get some things out of that house. Mainly her laptop and her cell phone.

Turning off the water she sighed and settled into the hot bath, it felt magical on her body. She might not be a girly-girl but when it came to certain female indulgences, like the euphoric tendencies of a hot bath, she would dabble while she could. Tying up her hair into a sloppy bun she laid back letting the suds from the bath cover her body. "So nice…"

"Helga?" Phoebe's voice drifted into the bathroom.

"In here." She yawned relaxing under the bubbles comfortably.

"Ah, glad you're getting adjusted," Phoebe giggled. "I tried to get things that were more Helga-esque, but you know Rhonda."

"Mmhm, well it's not that bad, you did good most of that is pretty wearable. Especially those bras, good work." Helga murmured from her bubble-bath.

"I'm glad you approve, though, you're insistence to restrict your breasts is a little ridiculous don't you think?" Phoebe looked at her own chest, hardly hitting a B-Cup. She sighed loudly.

"I'm not scary if I have huge milk jugs saying aloha every time I'm arguing with someone, Pheebs." Helga grumbled, making Phoebe laugh.

"I hear laughter in here, I'm going to assume someone is in a far better mood~?" Rhonda stated as she too entered the room, Nadine and Patty not too far behind.

"Look, I love you guys, I really do, and I'm all for this… uh… getting into the girl-bonding time, but I'm new to the whole naked bonding thing so could we cut this back to only a few of you in here while I'm in my birthday suit?" They all laughed leaving just Phoebe once more.

"Oh, my Gods you are not going to be wearing this!" Rhonda's audible distaste for what Helga picked. "No way did I buy you a whole new wardrobe for you to wear… this…ugh, I think I feel faint!"

"Calm it down, Princess." Helga chuckled walking into the bedroom wrapped in the ridiculous robe. She gave a cry of distress when she saw the new outfit set before her. "You have got to be shitting me."

Rhonda only smiled. "We have a day out to attend after we get your phone from-"

"And my laptop," Helga added.

"And your laptop from Bob's place." Rhonda finished. "Now let's get you all dressed up." She purred, Helga's groan was almost painful.

"Hey Arnold, hey Arnold, hey Arnold, hey Arnold, hey Arnold, hey Arnold, hey Arnold, hey Arno-" The alarm clock somehow seemed more annoying than usual, lucky for it Arnold didn't break it when he turned it off today. Sitting up, groggy and stiff, he groaned. Horrible sleep, horrible night, and that dream he had, horrible, he couldn't remember what it was, but it was just horrible. So much horribleness in one span of 24hours could not be good. Getting out of bed, he stretched out and scratched at his stomach. Pulling out a simple outfit he grabbed his towel off a shelf and headed to the bathroom.

"Oh, hai Ahnowd, lavolee day, yes?" Mr. Hyunh chipped in as they passed in the hall. Arnold nodded and continued on his way, he hoped it was going to be a lovely day. He couldn't take another day like yesterday.

Luckily the bathroom was empty and he was able to get a shower in, before Ernie knocked on it needing to use the toilet. "One second I'm getting out now."

"Well hurry-it-up'n there, I can't hold this load all day!" The small man bellowed with urgency.

"Jeez, Ernie TMI, man." Arnold didn't have time to get dressed so he just wrapped his towel around his waist grabbed his things and headed to the attic. He opened the door and to his complete and utter horror, was face to face, with Arnie sitting on his couch.

"Hello, Arnold." Arnie stated flatly before his signature snort.

Calming down from his mini heart attack. Holding his towel in place Arnold stammered and side-stepped to his bed. "Uhm, hey Arnie, wha-um, what are you doing here?" His voice was more freaked out sounding than he'd have liked it to be.

"I let your Grandpa Phil know I was going to be here…" The other blonde stated, his eyes blinking so slow Arnold was sure one blinked before the other. "Did he not convey my message to you, cousin?"

Arnold swallowed uneasily sitting on his bed and pulling his sheets over his lap, suddenly feeling way too exposed. "Uh, yea he told me but I didn't know it was going to be the next day. Your, uh, your room is downstairs."

"I am aware, I was coming to check on you is all. Nice to meet you again, cousin." With that Arnie got up stiffly from the couch and headed out the door. "Oh," the sudden pause made Arnold jump. "Is Helga still around these parts?" He asked, and then snorted, followed but the slow blink of one eye then the next.

"Erm, yea…" Arnold answered hesitantly.

"Okay, thanks." Arnie replied and headed out, closing the door behind him. Arnold let out a sigh of relief and another shudder of uncomfortableness. He didn't even get the time to mentally prepare for this visit. Wonderful.

"I hate you all. Don't get me wrong, I love you, too, but I hate…hate, you all." Helga growled as she stepped out the house, the tight form fitting tank top with black skin-tight jeans, that made her feel like she was going to die when she put them on. They apparently didn't see the pants as tight enough because they added a damn white belt with silver buckle to the fray. "If I suffocate. I want you all to turn yourselves in. FOR MURDER." She bellowed before hacking up a lung due to the sheer lack of breath.

"Oh come off it Helga, you look gorgeous, especially since you let me give you bangs, you are the cutest little thing when no one can see that ghastly caterpillar on your face." Rhonda started easily. Getting her a glare from Helga. The other girls were in attire more or less similar, tight pants, form fitting shirts with different sleeve sizes, patterns, cuts, etc.

"We can take my car," Patty said since she had to leave after they grabbed Helga's stuff. "I have to meet Harold for some practice fights coming up in a few days." She smiled. They all got in, it was a simple black Sedan and fit the five girls comfortable enough.

It didn't take too long before they were in front of the Pataki house. Helga groaned as her and Phoebe went in to retrieve the electronics and anything else she might be aching for. Luckily Bob was nowhere to be found and they slipped in and out with ease. Of course Helga had to scoop up her only Arnold related item, her heart frame with a more current picture and she stuffed it into her laptop bag, unable to stash it in this tiny shirt.

"God, I can't believe we got it all so easily." Helga sighed as her and Phoebe opened the door to leave. Too busy laughing they didn't notice Big Bob's car parking but they sure as hell heard him bellow when he saw them.

"Hurry the hell up!" Rhonda cried from the passenger seat, Patty started the engine and Nadine looked scared as hell as big Bob fought with his seat belt, the man was clearly so enraged he couldn't function right, which was not good at all. Helga and Phoebe were hasty as they jogged down the steps and sped for the Sedan. Thank god for horrible parking spaces because Bob was at least 4 cars away.

"Helga!" The man practically roared, Helga refused to look back and got in as fast as she could, her heart hammering in her chest as they pulled off. Leaving a disgruntled looking beast of a man behind them.

Helga leaned into the backseat and sighed aloud. "That was close." The others agreed and they sped off to Rhonda's.

"Why does he have to be so damn mean?" Rhonda barked in annoyance with Nadine nodding energetically. "I mean, he's a grown man and yes his wife left him and his Pride-and-Joy moved to a different country, but sheesh, he needs to remember you lost the same people he did."

"I guess you're right. I don't know why I stayed as long as I did. I guess a part of me felt bad?" Helga admitted as she closed her eyes. "That or I'm some sort of damned masochist when it comes to parental abuse." She chuckled, both Rhonda and Phoebe eyed her sternly.

"Masochist or not, the way he acts is totally uncalled for, that Barbarian." Rhonda hissed, making Helga shrug.

As they pulled up to the Lloyd home Patty bid them all farewell and she pulled off to meet up with Harold, Nadine had a date and asked her to drop her off at the bus-stop down the road from Rhonda's since that line didn't run in front of the Lloyd home. Helga watched the vehicle as it disappeared and then back to Rhonda. "I was always curious. How are you handling Harold and Patty together, Princess?"

The question caught the Diva off guard and she stammered. "Wh-whatever do you mean?" Rhonda asked pretty taken aback.

"Well I mean, didn't you and Pink-Boy used to have a thing going on when you were kids?" Helga continued as they turned to walk into the house.

"Oh that? Yes, that's true as idiotic as it sounds now that you mention it. I don't know what was going through my mind when I was 13, I guess it was a crazy time I suppose." She brushed it off. Looking over at Helga she noticed just how badly the blonde had expected some sort of advice. Slapping her own forehead Rhonda continued. "Look, Helga, it bothered me at first yeah, but to be honest my feelings for Harold couldn't even touch on yours for Arnold." She said quietly.

"I guess you're right, I just wish I knew how to get over him," Helga started.

"Oh at least steal him from, Lila," Phoebe peeped in, which got her a dirty look from Helga.

"I can't compete with Little-Miss-Perfect, Pheebs, I never could and I never will. Bah, never mind let's just drop this I shouldn't have brought it up." Helga urged.

"Oh no, you brought it up so you're going to have to deal with it." Rhonda insisted. "But first what to do with the rest of our day?" She said, tapping her chin.

"Well, there's that new movie coming out today? They said it's like the new "The Notebook" for this year." Phoebe suggested.

Helga groaned. "Seriously Pheebs, something that's on par with the "The Notebook", of all the movies I'd be up for that is not one of them."

Rhonda and Phoebe laughed and suggested something a little more comedic. "How about, "The Ugly Truth" then?" Rhonda mentioned.

"With Gerard Too-Hot-For-Me Butler in it?" Phoebe squeaked. Rhonda nodded.

With the look the girls were giving Helga she sighed and shrugged. "I guess it's settled then." The other two exchanged a hi-five and giddily ran into the house. "Women." Helga complained.
