Office Study
A/N: My birthday is coming up in 5 days! :3
She wore that skirt again, Shadow realized watching Sandy as she walked into the office building. She spared him a glance, a blush on her face. He knew for a fact that last night was a dream spurred on by his impending divorce and need; it didn't help that he wanted it to be true.
Shadow waited for his meeting with his colleagues to end, shuffling back into his office and closing the door behind him as his phone rang. It was Ember.
"Shadow," her voice was watery with unshed tears already. He didn't have time for this.
"I know, I'm moving my stuff out tomorrow," he answered before she could continue. While his fantasy of bending Sandy over his desk was just that his divorce was nearly final. He assumed it was a long time coming anyway, but he did worry about their daughter.
Ember was quiet for once, the silence on the other line almost unbearable. "Is. . .is there someone else?" she asked, voice wavering.
Shadow swallowed.
"There is, isn't there," she accused, spurred on by her ex-husband's quiet nature. "You could've told me."
Shadow snorted then covering the noise with a cough. "I. . .it's something like that. Just. . .we'll talk when I finish with work." He said, taking the phone away from his ear and walking towards his desk.
He buried himself in work until everyone else left. He stood, gathering his things to leave when he heard the door creak open and looked up.
Sandy stood in the doorway, tugging at her skirt in embarrassment and mumbling to herself.
"I thought I was the last person left," Shadow said, walking towards her.
Sandy shook her head, holding onto a folder. "Nah, I was gonna stay a bit longer, but—"
"You shouldn't overwork yourself," Shadow interrupted, closing the door behind her and walking towards the seating area he kept close. "You can rest here for a bit."
Sandy looked at him, those green eyes inviting and confusing him all at once. "That's alright, Mr. Robotnik, I'll be right as rain once I make it home." She said, smiling up at him.
Shadow nodded, following her out of his office and into the elevator. He took a sidelong glance at her, knowing that he should be professional about this. Tuck his feelings away and let them fade. He didn't want them to.
He fiddled with his jacket sleeve as the elevator rode to the ground floor. The elevator dinged as the doors opened, Sandy stepping out first. She looked back at him, waving as she headed to her car.
"See you Monday," she said, her voice carrying in the garage.
Shadow nodded, getting into his car and heading to his apartment. He couldn't take being home right now. Shadow stripped down to his boxers, wincing as his dick strained against the fabric. He took his boxers off, his erection standing proud as he swallowed.
It was almost embarrassing. To be reduced to this because of one woman. He sat on the bed, sighing as he wrapped his hand around himself, stroking with abandon. He sighed, finishing without fanfare. He headed to the bathroom, hearing a woman's voice carry through the hallway then a door slam shut.
He showered, turning the television on as he laid in bed his phone chiming in rapid succession with text messages. They were from Ember asking where he was, how they had to talk about their divorce and his admittance of loving someone else.
Shadow plugged his phone in, turning the sound off and turning over in bed. He could deal with this tomorrow.
When Shadow awoke, he was near painfully hard. His brain conjuring up his desires and playing them out over and over while he slept. Sandy laid naked and bare before him those perfect legs spread as she begged for him.
Shadow sighed, getting up to shower. He'd head home later, clear his head before then. He left the apartment, stopping as he came face to face with Sandy.
She smiled, waving at him. She wore shorts and a sports bra, a towel around her neck as she drank from a water bottle.
"I didn't know you lived here," Shadow mumbled, more to himself than the woman in front of him. It was just his luck.
Sandy shrugged, starting to walk past him to her own apartment. Shadow watched her go, shutting himself away as his brain and body took control.
