Hey so I'll be saying this once- This fan fiction includes mature themes and suggestions. I will not be putting warnings before hand. (As it will spoil what is to come) So basically, expected everything including sensitive topics!
Also heads up for future reference:
There are three different languages here.
Things that look like this:
Hello, how are you?
Is Midoriya's mother tongue.
This is Bakugou's mother tongue:
Hello, how are you?
This is Todoroki's mother tongue:
Hello, how are you?
Defining these words with italics or underline or nothing at all only apply during dialogue.
Excuse words that are like this, they aren't switching languages for one word:
There is no way I'll help you.
There is no way I'll help you.
There is no way I'll help you.
Also, I add the last paragraph for review in each chapter you will see that in the next chapter.
They will be italicized as well, but all of it not just dialogue so you know it's not switch languages.
Now on to the chapter!
Thanks for reading :D
What exactly is a fulfilled life?
Surrounded by comfort?
One with many children?
Just living until your body gave up?
So curious.. was there really any meaning to life? Was there really immortal being above watching? Perhaps humans were just entertainment for these immortal beings?
Such thoughts had always plagued him. He constantly questioned the meaning of things.
He never understood his childhood, at least whatever could be made of it.
He didn't understand his family, their traditions.
Even the entire country was an enigma, they all followed their traditions and religious closely as if it gave them a sense of purpose. Maybe that's why people liked these sets of rules. It gave a satisfactory sense of purpose instead of truly questioning everything around them.
Of course, this man was like the rest, more curious but just your average joe. Perhaps that was a little off though, he was an important person. He had a weight to bear of his shoulders and he bore it proudly.
Like everything else, his own family's traditions had a dress code which he liked to follow closely. Chest bare, scars, tattoos and more. It was important for him to walk with pride and an uncovered chest.
Clothes gave a sense of security to people, they felt as if they were clothed they weren't exposed to dangers. And so if one weren't to care much if they were exposed, they were either confident or stupid.
But people took his exposure as confidence. I mean, who in the world would want an insecure leader?
Who was this leader being spoken about in such detail anyway?
Well, his name was Midoriya Izuku of course. Famous leader of Betsuao.
Some may say he had the looks for a leader, a nicely defined jaw and unwavering eyes. Although, he didn't quite have the.. height. But we don't mention that for the sake of his embarrassment.
As dashing as the not short man was, a smile on those freckled cheeks would be pleasant. But that was rare, there wasn't all that much to smile about. The people were reassured by his presence not his smile. So, that's all that was needed.
Midoriya had a colder demeanor, any foreigner who had the pleasure of meeting him wouldn't respond with "Midorwas a kind young man" to the question "What was he like?". Instead it would be "Ah y-yes.. he was alright.." then proceed to evade that topic.
In short, he made people uncomfortable.
But to the people in the tribe, he was a lovely man. He went around helping others, checking in on them, walking around and such.
He normally gives a helping hand to the people who need it be it elderly or someone struggling with heavy supplies, you name it.
Of course, in order to have a strong tribe he encouraged independence, at times letting people struggle to make them stronger in some way. He was like a teacher, an observant teacher who cares for each student. In fact, he was doing one of his notorious walks around the tribe, looking for anything that was off.
The walks gave him a sense of peace. It allowed Midoriya to soak in his surroundings and fix any imperfections.
Today, just as the rest before, things were going smoothly. At the docks, men and women were fishing, children and mothers wadding in the water, other collecting shells and knickknacks.
Absolutely nothing wrong and that much was just perfect. Although, such lightheartedness always had to end somehow. He wasn't quite satisfied with looking around but he knew his work was aching to be finished.
So, he carried his feet away to the largest tent in the entire tribe, home. It was right at the center and plenty of ways away from the tents and houses surrounding it. After curtly looking at his own home he walked right to his workspace.
Yup. Piles of work.
I suppose it truly was a little bit his own fault, and his ancestors's. He had a fair amount of land in his small hands, managing it on his own for the most part. He didn't have a wife and he liked to ignore his right hand. So, no helping hands.
"Alpha chief." A voice cleared their throat. Midoriya knew this voice from just about anywhere. Remember that right hand he liked to avoid?
"Yes?" He said with an exaggerated sigh. He didn't dare turn around for the sake of his own emotions.
Okay, he didn't hate him okay? He was just a little annoying. He always needed to make sure he didn't do anything wrong and by checking he'd disturb Midoriya with pesky questions. That was just the first of the annoying behavior. But otherwise, Iida was a good man. He was admirable even.
"I have the biweekly report, sir." Well now he had to turn around.
And turn around he did. Iota Tenya was kneeling down as always no matter how many time he'd said not to, holding out the report which was not exactly thick but not paper thin or anything. The Alpha grabbed the folded stack without care and quickly unfolded it.
He started to read but, another thing was annoying him.
"You can stop kneeling, Iida." He sighed, again. The blue haired alpha picked himself up and it was very clear just how short the alpha chief was in comparison to him.. then again blue boy here was much bulkier and rather squareish for an Alpha.
His eyes drifted back to the tall papers with words scribbled all over. Everything was greatly detailed, he wished Iida didn't do that, it lengthened the reading time. How a biweekly report was supposed to work was short and to the point while also never skimming over details.
The alpha mumbled at his went along, murmuring "crops are fine..." "No raids so far.." "Ah, those bandits are back..." with that one he sighed. He hated seeing those assholes squirm their way around and go around literally all over the continent taking whatever they pleased from whatever Kingdom.
"Iida, for the bandits send some of my personal army and some of the Nation's. I want these bastards squashed already." Midoriya lazily threw the heavy stack onto the paper filled desk.
"Yes sir, but I'd like to request that you not call me by-"
"I'm calling you Iida."
"Please Alpha Chief, I don't deserve such respect from you..." Ugh, so humble.
"Oh whatever, I'm going for a walk."
"Where to?" Iida asked, placing a hand on his knee and hoisting himself up from the knelt position.
"The forest. Do not follow." The cold man started to walk off.
"W-Wait! Alpha chief! You ca-"
"Silence." He interrupted, slightly annoyed that his right hand wasn't listening. Midoriya was stubborn, Iida knew that. Because of such stubbornness, he let him go. Fighting with him was almost always in vain.
He walked through the forest with his tribal chief outfit, which flaunted his authority for everyone to see. His bare feet treading on the soft grass, occasionally stepping on rocks or nuts fallen from the trees.
Today, he just wanted to bask in the sun. Lately, things had been stressing him out and he just wanted some relaxation. So, he went to a simple clearing and sat on a large stone.
A loud crack made him stare more intensely. A burly man trudged out of the forest into the clearing. He soaked in his features, blond spikey hair like a porcupine, cute. Broad shoulders that carried a red cape and an exposed chest connected. His neck was adorned by teeth of an animal he did not recognize and his eyes brightened under the sun as it was exposed more.
"Who the fuck are you?" The stranger spoke first, the language completely foreign from his land. Midoriya stared blankly and got up from his crisscrossed position. The stranger didn't seem to hesitate to draw his sword with was once attached to his hip.
"I am Alpha Chief Midoriya." Midoriya spoke confidently in the same foreign language, no hesitation betraying his bold words.
"Alpha Chief? For what damn land?" He asked rudely with the sharp weapon pointed at him.
"This land." He pointed to the very ground to get his point across seeing as he isn't that fluent in the barbaric language.
"This is my land." The stranger barked.
"Bakugou Katsuki of Ranisha Kingdom." He muttered, recognizing his brutish attitude from anywhere. Lately the people of Tanisha were seen around his forest so it was easy to figure out who this was since his personality was pretty famous.
"Disturbed my land, cutting of life."
"The fuck's that supposed to mean?"
"Take life recklessly." He lifted his eyebrow and crossed his arms.
"Hah? I haven't taken a living soul in this damn forest!" The stranger barked back, insulted at the accusation.
"Animals, my animals." Midoriya squinted his eyes in judgement.
"You gotta eat out here somehow." He growled at the stupidity of this all. What is he? Some sort of plant loving fucker?
"Greed. Take more than need."
"You just want to fucking die, huh? Got a damn death wish!?" This new little bitch was getting on his nerves.
"No. Off land, now."
"I don't take orders from brats."
"Higher that you." He lifted his chin confidently.
"The fuck!? You ain't higher than me!"
"Considered king. You? Little prince." He looked down on the boy. And that was the last straw.
The Prince ran at him, rage taking over his sight. He wildly thrashed the sword, which the chief dodged.
"Stop." He ordered the Prince.
"Your Mother. Let me talk." He dodged another swing.
"Peaceful talk." He spoke again.
The unstable ground made him trip, allowing the stranger's blinded rampage to strike his chest. Of all the damn times-!! He grunted with pain and clutched the new wound that stretched from his right shoulder down to the bottom of his torso. With anger Midoriya knocked the sword out of his hands easily. The Prince pathetically tried to continue the assault but Midoriya swiftly pinned him to the ground.
"Peaceful talk.. Queen not Prince." The Alpha Chief's brows were furrowed with pain and it did not help that the Prince struggled under Midoriya's strength. He really must be a damn alpha with that strength.
"Screw you!" He yelled. Midoriya felt yet another disturbance, he felt they were huddled together but now there's movement.
"Your men." He whispered into his ear.
"You smell awfully sweet for a damn alpha." The closeness allowed Bakugou to get a good whiff, it was faint but he could still smell it.
"Tell back off, your men." He couldn't take that many people and he knew it. Especially since his blood was dropping in the prince's back.
"Why would I do that? I would love for them to pin you down while I skin you alive!"
Midoriya sighed. He wanted a peaceful talk with the Queen but the Prince will complicate things. He's too rash, the men will mistake this as a kidnapping. He stared at the edge. The men emerge.
"Who are you!?" They bark.
"I am.. Alpha Chief Midoriya."
"Get off the prince!" They drew their swords, damn. They must be as rash as their prince.
"He attack. I protect." His non-existent fluency puzzled the guards.
"Prince? Did you attack him?" A red haired man steps up.
"Damn asshole deserved it!" He barked back. The red haired man sighed. He was able to connect the pieces quickly, the prince, yet again, attacked recklessly.
"My sincerest apologies." He knelt in place of the Prince. Midoriya was pleased with this, at least they didn't jump to conclusions. He got up from the ground but still had Bakugou's hands behind him. He breathed heavily as he went to the guards. The blood was escaping him quickly, soiling the precious green grass.
"Here." He handed them the Prince.
"Peace talk, your Queen." He kept his cool regardless of the blood leaving his face to join the puddle on the ground.
"Allow us to treat your wound." The red haired man spoke again out of concern. Midoriya nodded and took another step forward, only to falter and fall to the grass. The voices started to get erratic and muffled as he faded out of consciousness.
