In his culture the label is very good, like an acknowledgement of presence. It's hard to explain really due to the uniqueness, it's simply a deep sign of respect. She should be puffing out her chest with pride, she's been respected by a royal, but she doesn't know the meaning so it's alright."You know meaning?" He asks Bakugou."Its just little one.""It's a sign of respect. She's been acknowledged by me.""That's fucking dumb." He huffed.
"I give reward later." He turned to the brunette.
"What? No reward! I'm a doctor, it's my job."
"I give reward." He insisted.
"I'm sorry, I heal for human purposes not self gain." She again turns down the offer. It was quite rude, in Midoriya's culture to turn down a higher ups gift was disrespectful. He could not get mad at her either for that as she does not know their ways.
Bakugou chuckled at the rejection.
"Hey look at that she's disrespecting you." He chuckled again. That told Midoriya he does have knowledge of his culture but it must be little.
"Are you going to punish her?" He continued.
"No she doesn't know of our ways. It would be insulting to punish one of things they never knew."
"You aren't going to be respected if you think like that."
"I am. People respect me."
"Bullshit."
"We understand. We follow traditions."
"Alpha Chief, would you like some water?" Uraraka holds up a cup, interrupting what she picked up as an argument.
"Yes." He gratefully took the cup and drank.
"How long sleep?" He asked.
"Just 4 days. You slipped in and out on consciousness though."
"I see. I go to people now?"
"You should rest for two more days at least."
"I go now." He sat up from the cot, making the blankets fall on the floor, only to get dizzy.
"Accompany me?" His eyes shifted to the two.
"Yes, I would like to help you with the wound." Uraraka stated.
"Yeah I'd love to scope out my new territory."
"How ignorant." His gaze went cold, glaring at the prince intensely.
"I'll bring Kirishima." He shrugged off the glare.
"Only three, no more." Obviously, his capitol is a secret for a reason.
"Where is my clothes?" He asked. noticing his tribal cloth missing.
"We washed it for you." His eyes went wide.
"Who touch?"
"What? Just the hand maids I guess."
"Lucky maids.." He muttered as he scowled.
"Why are they lucky?"
"My ancestors slaughtered the families of who touched their things without permission."
"That's surprising. Thought you guys were some sort of peace cult."
"We are." Bakugou scoffed, their so called 'culture' is quite confusing.
Midoriya soon grabbed his tribal cloth, as he did not want anyone else to touch. Thankfully the tribal cloth allowed the chest to be exposed so it wasn't torn when the idiotic alpha that swung at his chest. With borrowed paint, he painted at his face and hands once more. Two triangles point down under his eyes, two circles at the too of each brow, and two thick lines coming from the bottom lip down to his collarbones. For the hands, the back of them were simply covered in red, it was a sign of being a warrior, all of his royal lineage should have this.
He places the feathery hat on his head proudly and exits the tent that has sheltered him from the unforgiving night air.
"Hey you're looking like when we met!" Kirishima smiled happily.
"Normal wear for Alpha Chief."
"Looks great." Kirishima continued.
"Are we going or what?" Bakugou growled.
"Yes. Follow." He walked with the others trailing behind.
"So this place you live in, is it the capitol?" Kirishima's eyes glowed at the thought, the most kept secret from outsiders!!
"Yes." Midoriya simply answered.
"Isn't the capitol a great secret?" Krishima continued the conversation.
"Yes."
"So why are you revealing it to us?"
"You no find. Only own can." Kirishima thought a little on what he said and connected the pieces on his own.
"How is that possible?"
"Blessed by the gods." He muttered a silent prayer at the mention of their gods.
"That's amazing!" He happily cheered.
"Alpha Chief?" Uraraka called out.
"Yes?"
"Would you like for me to help you with our language?" She noticed that it is a little frustrating with the odd use of words and deep accent.
"I would like." He nodded. He learned the language from scrap after all, books and help from his people who knew a little.
Uraraka happily started to teach him. He would say a sentence and Uraraka would correct him in the proper manor.
"Little one, there proper way to speak to royals?"
"Oh- yes, it's a bit from the ancient version. Certain words must be pronounced like the ancients."
"I have been rude to Prince Bakugou?" He tilted his head.
"I do not want to sound rude but, yes only a little." Midoriya frowned at this. He turns to Bakugou.
"You have my apologies for my rudeness."
"Like I care." Bakugou crossed his arms.
They continued their journey and soon arrived at the edge of the tribe. One of his people spotted him and smiled happily, they rushed to his side and present their knee.
"Alpha Chief! You are alright!"
"Yes, I am alright. How is my capitol?"
"We have been very anxious but your return will surely relieve out hearts! I will alert the capitol!" Midoriya nodded, allowing the man to do what he wished, which he giddily hopped away with the pleasant news.
"What did they say?" Kirishima asked.
"They will alert. They are happy with arrival." They continued to walk. By then, the whole village knew of the return. They reached the center, where Midoriya lives. It's of course a larger tent than his people's. Iida bends his knee at the sight.
"Alpha Chief, you are safe. Who are these people?"
"They are my guests. This one," He turns to Uraraka.
"Has saved my life. I expect you honor her. The blonde man is Prince Bakugou."
Iida happily obeys and turns to her. He grabs her hand and placed the back on his forehead. She gets quite flustered as he speaks.
"You have my gratitude."
"He thanks you." Midoriya translates.
"O-Okay.." She flushes. Iida let her go and bows to Bakugou who doesn't seem to care.
"Come in." He told the three who followed him all the way over here.
They gawk, or rather Kirishima and Uraraka, at the precious items held within the tent.
"You three are welcome. We feast at night."
"A feast?" Kirishima asked.
"Yes."
The maids already set up a room within the tent for the pair seeing as they reported that he was with three travelers.
"They are my guests. Respect Uraraka and the Blonde man, he is Prince Bakugou of the neighboring kingdom." Midoriya tells the maids. Their eyes widen, they bowed to the pair and kept in mind to be mindful of their needs. Soon they'll tell the village so they don't dare make a mistake.
Midoriya left the three in the bedroom where they'll be taken care of and settled in. He went straight to his bedroom where his work has been calling for him and Iida has already stationed himself.
"Anything happen in my absence?" He asked the usually stiff man.
"Nothing but worry. I have helped you with your work while you were gone as well." Midoriya noticed what he expected would be a huge pile of work, only is a stack of papers.
"Thank you."
"Might I ask what happened?"
"I felt a disturbance and went to investigate."
"What happened to your chest?"
"I was attacked. One mistook me for an enemy."
"What? They dare spill your blood!?" Iida raged.
"It is fine. Do not attack them." He glared at the man who backed down at the order, but it was clear he was pissed.
