It's was a beautiful October morning in Tokyo, Japan. The busy streets of Shibuya were bustling like always, the subways were packed to the limit with everyday men and women trying to get to work, and planes flying into the country full of tourists and immigrants were just touching down.
And one such plane was transporting a certain teenage boy who was about to have his life changed forever.
"Hey Lucas? Wake up, honey. It's time to get off the plane." A voice voice called out.
"Mmm?" Lucas said through a mumble, still rubbing his eyes. "Oh were here. Finally."
As the young man got up from his seat to stretch, he looked back over to the voice that called him.
"So, are we gonna meet Dad at the Terminal, Mom?" Lucas asked.
"Yes, he said that'd he'd be at the gate with our ride to our new home." Lucas's Mother replied, fetching her handbag from the roof compartment.
"This is gonna be terrible." Lucas said dejectedly. "Do you know how hard it will be for me to fit in? To make friends?"
"Look, I know you're not the most thrilled to have left home to come here, but your Father if very lucky to have the opportunity he was offered." His Mother said in return.
Lucas's Father worked for a big time software company that was headquartered in Tokyo, and just a few short weeks ago, he received a promotion to a high position in the company.
However, this did not come without cost, the family had no choice but to move, due to Lucas's Mother not working on account of not being able to work due an injured leg.
Lucas knew with the increase in his Father's pay, they'd be able to pay for the surgery she needed, but with that came compromise. Lucas had to leave everything behind. His old childhood friends, his comfortable home in the suburbs of Colorado, even his favorite spot in the neighborhood park to sit and think.
After getting out of the cramped row of people eager to get out of the equally cramped plane, Lucas allowed his Mother to lean on him for support. After the duo left the Terminal and reached the entrance, they were greeted by a familiar face.
It was Lucas's Dad, his neat black hair combed back, and his black two piece business suit speckless. After helping his Mom get into the vehicle, Lucas put the family's luggage in the truck and sat down in the back seat of the car.
After pulling away from the airport and getting on the highway, Lucas's father finally made conversation.
"So, how was your flight?" He asked.
"It was fine for me, dear, but I think Lucas still might have a little bit of the old jet lag in him." Lucas' Mom replied.
"Mmm." Lucas mumbled in return.
While his mother was definitely right about the trip taking his energy from him, what sapped him of his strength was his situation.
"Sorry I'm not really the talkative sort right now. Being a new guy in the workplace makes it stressful, 'specially being in a new country and all." His Father said in excuse for his lack of engagement with his family.
Sensing his son's discontent with his circumstances, seeing his downward expression from the rear view mirror, he spoke up again.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll make plenty of new friends here, son!" He said with a chipper tone to brighten the mood. "In fact, that school we have you enrolled to, Shujin Academy, has graduated some of the most credible and academically impressive students out there! Plenty of people like you!"
"That is if they'll ever accept a guy like me in their schools. Face it, Dad, the only thing we'll have in common is our hair color." Lucas said with disdain.
"Please don't be like that Lucas!" His Mother butted in, predicting a feud brewing. "From what I hear, the Japanese love Italians, especially their food!"
It was another several few minutes of silence in the car after that. All Lucas could do was just look out the window, gazing at the traffic pass them by. After a few more minutes of silence, the car had finally gotten off the highway and just a little far after that, pulled into a parking garage.
"We'll have to hoof it from here. I'm sorry for the trouble, Carla, but the path to our home is too small for our car."
"Don't worry, honey, it'll be fine." She replied. "How much father will we need to go anyways?"
"Not too much father from here." Her husband responded.
With a sign of reluctance, Lucas got out of the car as his Father opened the trunk hatch.
"You help Mom. I got these." Lucas said, carrying the suitcases.
With a nod of agreement, the Father let his wife lean on his shoulders.
As the trio began to make their way into the cramped walkway of their new neighborhood, Lucas looked up at a signpost that had a mix of both Japanese and English on it.
"Yongen-Jaya, huh?" He said inquisitively.
"Better to brush up on your Japanese lessons sooner than later, kid." His dad said as they walked through the streets, making a right turn down the road. "There are plenty of signs in English, but don't expect that everywhere."
As the trio continued down the narrow pass, Lucas looked around, figuring if he was stuck here, he might as well get a lay of the land. To his left, a quaint cafe which he admitted had a very nice retro aesthetic. To his right, a community laundry station and bathhouse.
"Do people in this country really bath in the same tub at once?" The teenager said in disgust. "Weird."
"Don't worry. Our home has a shower if it's own." His Father added again. "And while I know some of their cultural stuff may be weird to us, and believe me, I get you, it will all become acquainted to you later."
After he finished speaking, the group turned to their left to see their new home. It was a modest home, with two bedrooms and two baths on the second story while the family room and kitchen were just on the ground floor.
As his Father and Mother made their way to the front door, Lucas stood outside a while. After noticing his Son wasn't following, Lucas' Father looked back outside.
"Don't worry, I'm just trying to take all of this in." He said to his Dad before he could speak.
With a simple nod, his Father simply came outside again to take the luggage from his Son's hands, giving him a pat on the back of reassurance before returning back inside.
Taking one last look around outside before going in, Lucas noticed to his right a signpost marked "Yongen-Jaya Station" in all caps English as well as the typical Japanese writing.
Just as he was taking his first step to the door, Lucas had noticed a Plaque fastened to the stone wall around the property, simply reading "The Venturi Family Residence."
Taking a long sigh, Lucas finally opened the door to be greeted by his Mother.
"I know you'll probably want to rest first thing you get in, but you'll have to do your unpacking dear." She said.
"Your room is a bit small, but I'm sure you'll be able to make it feel like you were back home in no time." She added.
As he nodded his head and began to walk further into the home, he was stopped by his Mother yet again.
"Don't forget to take off your shoes before you step on the wood floor!" She reminded him. "That's a custom here in this country."
"Oh right..." The teenager agreed, stopping himself to sit on on the wood floor and remove his shoes.
After taking his luggage up to his room, he found that what furniture he was able to bring had already showed up. His bed and mattress sat in the back right corner of the room, waiting to be made.
His computer desk sat on the opposite end of the room right where the door opens up. On of the few things Lucas was thankful for when it came to living in a new country was that at least the doors slid open, giving him a little more room to work with.
Sitting on his bed and unpacking his things, placing his trinkets on his desk and clothes in the closet, Lucas took some time to get adjusted to the room, soaking it all in as best he could. After a little while longer, he was called down to an early dinner.
Sitting down at the table with his parents, Lucas saw that the meal of choice was seafood, a type of food he particularly loathed.
"I'm sorry son, but you're gonna have to get use to it." Lucas's mother said to him. "Japan is all about food like this, so it will be on our plates more often."
Eating his sushi with every loathing bite, Lucas finished his meal, reluctantly cleaning his plate of the food he loathed. After placing the plate in the dishwasher, Lucas started walking out the front door.
"I'm gonna go get some air." He put plainly, shutting the door behind him.
Walking down the street as the sun began to set, Lucas paced back and forth down the street. However, as he did that, he noticed something he never thought he would notice.
It was a beautiful girl. She had nice, natural blonde haired tied up in pigtails, her skin completion was perfectly smooth and practically glistening as well. She had a confident bounce to her step, and more importantly, she was like him.
Seeing this girl made Lucas realize how she must feel like him, a foreign person in a place like this. He had to talk to her, he had to get her name. However, as he approached her, he noticed she walked inside the cafe Lucas and his family passed by earlier.
Hesitating to walk in simply because of reasons even unknown to himself, Lucas simply turned around and made his way home. Before he did so however, he heard the sounds of people in the upper story of the cafe, the window of what he believed to be the store's attic abuzz with the noise of teenagers like himself.
Returning to his house, Lucas went to open the door, only to realize he'd left a crack in it. Reaching for the doorknob, he paused, the conversation inside between his parents intriguing his curiosity.
"Tony, I know this is all for your career, but I've sensed nothing but resentment from Lucas since we've arrived." Lucas' mother said. "Are we certain this was the correct choice for him?"
"I'm sorry, Carla, but if I didn't take this job, you wouldn't have been able to get your leg fixed up." Lucas' father responded. "He may find it hard, but perseverance builds character. And besides, who knows? Maybe a similar position back in the States could open up? I would be a pain moving all over again, but I wouldn't mind being back in a familiar setting as well."
Opening the door and seeing both his parents' heads turn to him, Lucas said nothing, simply walking up the stairs to his bedroom.
"Ah, Lucas!" Carla said to her son. "Your uniform for school was accidentally mixed with my luggage. I left it by your door. Be sure you give yourself plenty of time to try it on, because you'll need all the time you can tomorrow."
"Why's that?" Lucas asked his mother.
"Well, with your father taking our car to work, that means you'll have to commute to Shujin by subway." His mother replied.
Without a reply in return, Lucas simply nodded his head, making his way up the stairs to find a box of clothing and a map sitting on top of it. Examining the map showed a list of train routes he needed to take as well as the times they departed from their stations.
Walking into his bedroom and placing the map on his desk, Lucas got to unboxing his school attire. There were multiple sets of uniforms in the box, with a white dress shirt and checkered black dress pants being the most distinctive uniform. Two black dress jackets also occupied the box, a jacket which, according to Lucas's memory, was not something he was required to wear immediately.
Trying on the uniforms to feel how they fit proved difficult. Despite the uniforms being tailor fit to be his size, Lucas felt like he was being strangled by the tight clothing. After looking himself in the mirror, Lucas removed his garments, returning the clothes to the box in a messy, crumpled mess.
Laying down on the bed, jet lag had finally won its match against Lucas. As his eyes began to finally close, he fell into a deep sleep.
The next time Lucas opened his eyes, it was to a scenery he wasn't familiar with. The ceiling above him was made of cold brick, and his bed no longer felt comfortable. Turning his head to look around, he noticed he was in a prison cell.
"Agh!" He gasped, jumping out of the cot he lay in, reaching for the jail doors before him.
Realizing his left leg was drifting behind him, Lucas turned around to see a ball and chain clasped around his ankle. Grasping the iron bars in rage, he struggled against the door imprisoning him.
"Ah, hello, my esteemed guest." A voice called out beyond the bars. "You're finally awake."
Seeing who was speaking, Lucas focusing his eyes on the figure of a tall, balding man sitting behind a desk in the middle of a circular room. Seeing the man's face, Lucas noticed the man's very long nose and his buggy eyes.
"My name is Igor. Welcome to my Velvet Room." The tall man said cordially.
"Igor? Velvet Room?" Lucas said to himself.
"Do not be alarmed by your predicament, young lad. You are simply in a state of dream right now. Your physical body still resides at your new home." Igor began explaining. "This Velvet Room of mine is a reflection of your soul. And what a sad place this is. To think your predicament in life is so bad that you feel moving to a new home feels like a prison."
"What do you want from me?" Lucas asked the man.
"I sense the troubles you have with your predicament, and I wish to guide you through these tribulations." Igor stated plainly. "I will provide you a gift to which could make your new life in Japan more, 'endurable'."
"What do you mean?" Lucas asked the man.
"All will become clear in no time, my boy. For now, rest. Rest and recuperate, for quite soon you will need all the energy you can muster." Igor said, the room disappearing around them slowly as an alarm clock began to blare.
"It's time to wake up." Igor plainly put.
AN: Hello my dear readers. I hope you all were gripped in by the prospect of my latest story. A hypnosis harem in the Persona universe featuring an Original Character of my design. If you are intrigued by the premise of this story, feel free to tell me in reviews.
I've had this idea of mine churning in my head for a while now. My pride of work on this site has been my Pokémon hypno harem, but all three stories I've made thus far have been Pokémon related. My wish to branch out into the Persona universe came from simply playing the game.
I thought the women in those titles were enticing and attractive, so I came with the inspiration to turn them into mewling sex slaves in my new fanfic here. Please tell me what you think of this new idea of mine in the reviews. I hope you all enjoy!
