A New Perspective (Shego)

'Well that was a day. I do hope things pick up from here.' Sharon thinks.

"What did you think of your first day Sharon?" Dr. Drakken asks.

"To be honest, it was a bit boring but I understand why it is necessary. Teaching can't be all fun and games. Even for a chemistry teacher, though I do hope we can show these kids how fun it can be." Sharon says.

Dr. Drakken laughs, "That is true, now I never did ask why, chose here. I am sure you heard about what happened last time."

"I did hear about that. But, I needed a different perspective from where I was living. A new place with new people. A new life if it were, now that is not to say that my old life, as it were, was bad by any means. I just needed a change, it became too routine for my liking. Now that is not to say that will happen here, I did live in the same city for twenty-one years. And who knows I may enjoy it here far more than the city I did live in." Sharon explained.

"Ah that does make sense. I understand the need for change, this way I moved here and settled down here. I was almost always on the move when I was younger. I was a traveling teacher and I enjoyed it immensely, but as time moved on I had to as well." Dr. Drakken talked like he really did miss the old days but had no regrets about what he did.

"You know, you seem very different from what I was told about." Sharon says.

"Oh, I bet. I can be a bit crazy at times I will admit. But, that is because I love my job and care about chemistry a great deal." Dr. Drakken chuckles a bit at that, almost like an inside joke he once shared.

"There is one thing I will have to get used to though." Sharon says with exacerbation

"Oh and what is that, pray tell?" A knowing smile crops up on Dr. Drakken's lips.

"I think you know, but I say it anyway. Those teenage boys need to keep their eyes up and not at my boobs. I was expecting it, I get that all the time. But at least some people are a bit more discreet about it. These boys were not even trying to hind the fact that they were thinking things that are better left unsaid. Sorry if that is unprofessional, it was getting on my nerves a bit. Though I will be better prepared tomorrow." Sharon finishes her small rant.

A laugh bellows out from Dr. Drakken, "I figured as much, if it gets too much you can call them out on it. The school does not take this kind of behavior lightly. To be fair they are teenagers and they think that any woman, or man for that matter, is hot if they are older and a bit fit. Now that is not to discredit you, but their hormones are at a strange time right now, as I am sure you remember. As it was not that long for you."

"True, now I do believe it is time for me to go. It was fun talking but I am feeling very famished at the moment. I forgot to bring lunch, and I am not going back to school food. See you later Dr. D." Sharon waves as she heads to the parking lot to her car. Dr. Drakken waves back and heads to his own car.

Thinking about teenagers, what was that red-head in the first period name, Kim was it? She was checking me out that is for sure. It is nice that I am not the only one to swing that way. I wonder if she is eighteen, she sure is cute. No get that thought out of your mind, it is your first day. You know what happened to the last student teacher. Now that is not to say I can not look, I just can not do anything about it. Though who knows maybe after she graduates something could happen. But I would have to get to know her first, eh only time will tell. I best leave it up to her to try anything. I just hope it is nothing too bad, teenagers will be teenagers. I just do not want to force my hand and stop anything. I really need this job and the experience that will come with it.'

Lost in thought Sharon almost did not hear her phone ring once she got to her apartment. It is her oldest friend Amy, "Hey Amy how have you been?" Sharon asks.

"I have been pretty good, my research is going great. I have made great headway since last week." Amy says full of excitement.

"That is great, why don't you tell me about it, but please use english. I can only follow for so long." Sharon laughs a little at that.

Amy talks about how she has found better ways of treating animals at a smaller price than it is right now. The only problem at the moment is that it is more fickle. It is harder to store and does not last as long. Her team is working at the moment to sort the problems out, but it could take some time. "How was your first day being a student teacher, how many guys just stared at your boobs." Amy just laughs at that thought.

"Really now, you're pulling that. Fine I will tell you, just about every single one of them. Though there was a girl in my first period that seems just as gay as I am. It was cute though I do not think anything will come of it." Sharon seems almost disappointed by this.

"Really, you seem a bit sad by that. Are you crushing on one of your students already Mmm?" Amy giggles at that thought.

"Amy, I am stopping you right there. It is just a crush on her end, and even then I am not one hundred percent sure about that. Yes, I have a good gaydar but it is not infallible. I have been wrong in the past but I will not make the first move. I will let her." Sharon explains.

"That is fine and that makes the most sense. Now let us assume that she does swing that way and you two fall for each other. What will you do?" Amy asks.

"The way things are now nothing. But let us assume that is true, I would have to wait till she graduates. So that would give me plenty of time to get to know her." Sharon tells her.

"Yeah, I understand. I am glad that you are not letting your ex control your life anymore." Amy seems happy about that.

The only thing Sharon could do is hum in response.
