The next couple days they spent time at the beach, the girls went shopping, the guys played in the game room. Shelby was doing okay for the most part. She just had a couple bruises and felt tired.

Chris and Nick hadn't come over since the first day. But Chris was suppose to come over that night to hang out. Shelby still hadn't told her the truth so she couldn't tell Chris that Nick wasn't welcome there.

No one in the house was happy about Nick being there that night but they were going to try and move past it for Shelby.

Shelby was laying down waiting for Chris to get there. Kelly came into the room and laid down next to her.

"Hey Kelly."

"Hey beautiful." Kelly pushes a piece of her hair behind her ear. "We could just hide in here tonight."

Shelby's face fell. "Kelly, You know we can't. Chris will come looking for me."

"Why can't you just tell her? Why are you protecting her?"

"Because she won't believe me! She will take her brothers word over mine. She adores him and he can do no wrong." Shelby turned away from Kelly.

"Then why did you suggest Miami for spring break? Why did you reach out to them?"

"Because I miss the friends I had in the beginning of our friendship!" Shelby was fighting back the tears in her eyes. She didn't want to lose Chris as friend.

Kelly moved closer to Shelby. He wrapped her in a hug and laid his head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry hun." Shelby rolled over and curled up into Kelly.

They laid there for a little while and then Shelby got a text. It was Chris. "Their here."

Kelly sighed and then nodded. The two of them got up and headed to the front room. Chris and Nick were already inside the house saying hi to everyone.

Shelby put on a brave face and went and hugged Chris. "Hey girl so glad you could come over."

"I wouldn't miss hanging out with my best friend. Especially since you are only here for a couple more days. "

The girls stopped hugging and Shelby turned to Chris' brother. "Hey Nick."

"Hey Shelby." Nick opened up his arms. Shelby reluctantly hugged Nick. During the hug Nick shot Kelly a devilish grin. Andy had to hold Kelly back before he started anything.

Shelby and Nick finally stopped hugging. "Whose ready to start drinking?"

"Girl yes!" Everyone headed to the kitchen to start making drinks and doing shots. Everyone was having a good time. Kelly was shooting death glares in Nick's direction.

The girls were taking shots and the guys were drinking beers. Shelby excused herself to go to the bathroom. Ever since she fell the other day, she hadn't been feeling well.

When she stepped out of the bathroom Nick was standing in front of the door. Shelby jumped.

"I'm sorry did I scare you?"

"I wasn't expecting you to be there." Nick was standing in front of her so she couldn't get around him. "Do you need something?"

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the other day. I was out of line."

"Well thank you for apologizing." Shelby made her way around him.

Nick then grabbed her and pinned her against the way. Shelby winced in pain. "Shouldn't you apologize to me as well?"

Shelby started to panic. "Let go of me Nick."

"Or what your little boyfriend is going to kick my ass?"

"I did nothing wrong!"

"You always do something wrong!" Nick spat in her face.

"Kelly!!!" Nick smacked her across the face. He then heard footsteps moving quickly his way. Nick grabbed Shelby and spun her around and pushed her forward.

Shelby ended up falling and hitting her head on a door handle. Knocking her out laying on her stomach.

Kelly appeared seconds later. He grabbed Nick by the shirt and punched him. The two of them began to exchange punches. Everyone in the other room must of heard the commotion and came running.

The girls ran over to help Shelby while the guys pulled Kelly and Nick apart. Chris stood in between Kelly and her brother. "What the hell do you think you are doing?" Chris spat the words at Kelly.

"Your brother is an asshole!"Andy and Matt were holding Kelly back as he struggled to try and get to Nick.

Chris folded her arms and glared at Kelly. "What are you talking about?"

"Your brother has abused Shelby! She didn't want to tell you because she was worried about ruining your image of your brother!" Kelly didn't care anymore. He didn't want this guy anywhere near her.

Chris was trying to process what Kelly was telling her. She looked to see Shelby was still unconscious on the floor. Angie was on the phone with 911.

Chris turned around to face her brother. "What the hell have you done?!"

"Chris I.."

But Chris cut him off. "You are turning into dad! Is that what you want?!" Everyone else in the hallway was shocked. "Leave Nick!"

"Chris?"

"I said Leave!!!" Nick stormed pass everyone and left the house.

Kelly went over and held Shelby until the paramedics arrived. They loaded Shelby up and Kelly rode with them. The others said they would join him at the hospital in a couple hours.

Kelly held Shelby's hand the entire time to the hospital. Once she was wheeled into a trauma room, Kelly was escorted to the waiting room.

Kelly took a seat in one of the uncomfortable hard plastic chairs. He was aimlessly watching the TV in the waiting room. His mind was racing into a million different directions. The rest of their group showed up to the ER a couple hours later.

Kelly hadn't even noticed his friends had entered the waiting room. They all took seats around him. Angie took one of Kelly's hands in hers and squeezed.

Kelly looked over to see who had his hand and was met with Angie's green eyes. "Hey."

"Hey Kelly. Has there been any updates?"

"No. No one has told me anything."

A doctor then emerges from the ER and walks over to the group. "Hello are you guys here for Shelby Jensen?"

Kelly immediately stood up. "Yes. I'm her boyfriend."

The doctor looked around at the group of teenagers in front of him. "Is any of her family here?"

Kelly looked at the doctor in disbelief. Angie then spoke up. "We are here on spring break and she is my sister. You can talk to me."

The doctor nodded. "She has a concussion and has yet to regain conscious. She has also suffered a miscarriage."

"Wait she was pregnant?" Angie couldn't believe what she was hearing. Shelby never said anything to her.

"We estimate she was maybe 13 weeks. Did she not know?" Everyone in the group shook their heads. "We have her stable for now. I can allow two of you to go back and see her. But she needs her rest."

Everyone nodded. Kelly and Angie followed the doctor to Shelby's room. They both took a seat next to her bed and sat in silence.

A little while later Angie excused herself so she could go call Shelby's parents. Kelly was holding Shelby's hand hoping she would wake up.

Suddenly there was a lot of beeping coming from one of the monitors Shelby was hooked up too. Nurses and doctors came running into the room.

"What's happening?!" Kelly shouted hoping someone would answer him.

"Her heart stopped. You need to leave."A nurses started to try and escort Kelly out of the room.

"Shelby! You can't leave me too! I need you to fight!" Kelly shouted to her while he was being pushed out fo the room. Tears running down his face.
