A/N: Hello! I've restarted the series so I'm filing in episodes I've missed! I'm excited to be writing these again. Thank you, as always, for the reviews!

Thor's Hammer

Teal'c had just washed following his training session with Colonel O'Neill. The Colonel was waiting for him outside the changing room, they decided to get some food before calling it a night. As they strode through the hallways of the SGC, Colonel O'Neill was talking to Teal'c about new strategies for when they partner off on missions. Teal'c had noticed that there appeared to be a talking pecking order within the team. Depending on which mouth decided to open first it was Daniel or Captain Carter, followed by the Colonel, ending with Teal'c. This meant that Teal'c's listening skills had indeed improved because no matter the subject, the humans always had something to say.

While he pondered the reasons as to why humans talk far more than Jaffa, they entered into the mess hall. He noticed the Colonel had paused, as if to bring something to Teal'c's attention.

"I mean we don't have to if you don't want to." Jack said.

"What did you ask of me Colonel O'Neill?"

Jack smiled in disbelief. "You weren't by any chance, ignoring me Teal'c?"

"No. I was merely thinking about something else. I did not think you required my full attention O'Neill."

"Well, I'd be offended but I use that line at least once a day on Daniel. Speaking of, I was saying Carter and Daniel were over there. Let's grab some food and join them." Jack walked ahead of Teal'c.

Teal'c slowly followed, he felt reluctant to sit with his team. Though he was filled with immense gratitude for their actions on Cimmera, he did feel felt remorseful that the Hammer had to be destroyed just so that he could leave. Teal'c was not used to being the one who others make sacrifices for, he strangely found the sensation on par with being the one who sacrifices. He knew his life came at a cost, and in this particularly personal cost to Daniel. His wife, Sha're.

Teal'c found himself sat opposite Captain Carter which filled him with relief, he did not think they would notice his discomfort as long as they were talking amongst themselves. 15 minutes of jovial conversation had passed and Teal'c felt confident that perhaps the briefing would have been the last time the events on Cimmera would be spoken about. However, he was wrong. Daniel had naturally brought Sha're into the conversation, this was a regular occurrence. They always tried to remain positive towards whatever he was saying but there was always a twinge in their stomachs, and a would shift in Daniel's eyes once he concluded sharing the memory. As this certain comparison of Sha're's arm hair to Sam's came to an end, Teal'c eyes remained fixated on his plate. So much so that the team picked up on it, they understood why. Jack and Sam glanced at Daniel to survey his reaction, and then shot each other a knowing look.

"Teal'c, please don't feel bad about what happened out there." Daniel says. A silence follows, Teal'c's eyes remain focused on the crust of his pie. Sam swallows some air and bites in her cheek. Jack continued to watch the events play out. "You know you can look at me. I'm not mad. Yeah I'm upset that Thor's Hammer can't be used as a way to help Sha're, but I wouldn't keep you trapped in that place for her sake. As painful as it was to watch it be destroyed, it saved your life Teal'c."

Teal'c felt overcome with a sense of admiration and gratitude for Daniel's attitude and words.

"Daniel Jackson, I swear to you that I will do all that I can to assist you in the search for Sha're." Teal'c looks Daniel in the eye. "I thank you for allowing my life to be saved."

"Teal'c I didn't have to think twice about it, you've willingly put your life on the line for us countless times. You're one of us. We'll find a way to help Sha're and Ska'raa, but for now let's be grateful that we've still got our asses attached." Jack says, in a tone that connoted lets wrap this issue up.

"I second that sir. And Teal'c, I'm glad we got you out." Carter adds.

Teal'c's sense of loyalty to his friends seemed to have expanded. As he nodded in appreciation, he began to understand the human connection they all seemed to revel in. The Jaffa, of course, felt love, loyalty, friendship, though it tended to be felt it a dutiful way. The Jaffa culture guarded emotions, they were sacred, but also a form of weakness. Though the human culture also regarded emotions as weakness, they seemed to use these emotions to bind each other together. Though illogical, it was a stronger bond than any calling or obligation one could have. While he pondered this he noticed himself feeling, feeling truly grateful to be a part of his team.
