Jack overheard Ry'ac's comment to Teal'c about how he never went back for his family, he felt the sting from where he was stood. His mind put on a brief showing of a memory of Charlie. Jack had missed a baseball game and by the time he got home Charlie was upset that he 'never came home for him'. Jack instantly blinked the sore memory away and frowned as he imagined what Teal'c would be thinking. He spun his head round at Dray'ac, who was understandably emotional, and watched as Carter and Daniel attended to her. He admired the gentle nature that the young Captain and archaeologist had, he liked watching them. It was great to have Dray'ac bonding with the team, they didn't really know his family very well, so it was a start. Jack wondered if Teal'c's family would really be staying on Earth for the long-haul, he had a feeling that it wasn't going to work out like they planned. His attention diverted back to Teal'c; he saw the pained look on his face. Jack felt useless, unable to figure out how get Ry'ac back, all he could do was stay fixated on Teal'c and support him. Team member to team member. Friend to friend. Father to father.
