A/N: Sorry that it has taken me so long to post again, I'm on it now though! I'd just like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the reviews! It's made my Christmas. They mean the absolute world, you're all the best.
Here are two moments of thought that came to me during the ep. Stay safe, and happy reading!
The Tok'ra Part 1
General Hammond glanced across the room; he watched the two Carters in conversation. He had invited General Jacob Carter, an old friend, to the ceremony as a surprise for Captain Carter, though he knew the reality of the two together came with complications. He had received intel recently that someone was trying to get the Captain a job at NASA, as he gets special calls on inquiries about members of the SGC. He then learned that person making calls for Captain Carter was Jacob. He knew Jacob would bring this information up today, and as he watched the Carters interact, he could tell Jacob had decided to bright that up now. Hammond felt a twinge of empathy for the young Captain as he knew how stubborn Jacob was. He knew that no matter now convincing young Carter made her cover story, Jacob would not buy it- and not only that, he would still persist to tell her he knew better. Hammond subtly shook his head of thoughts, and he lowered his face in a smiling response to the Washington blue that was attempting to make small talk with him about who knows what.
Jack impatiently awaited Captain Carter's return from galloping off with Martouf. Jack didn't need a degree in every science to know that Martouf had a bit more going on behind the scene. He noticed that Carter had a habit of either being oblivious or selectively ignorant to the many alien men that they'd encounter that would prefer to get to know her on a level that Jack was not comfortable with; however, in this case it almost appeared that Carter was half entertaining this alien's eager hospitality towards her. Whether she was into him or not, spending one-on-one time with a Goa'uld pretending not to be a Goa'uld was an unsettling concept. He didn't want to let Carter go, but he respected her and felt confident that she could look after herself. After all, Martouf didn't appear as the most threatening snake incubator. In fact, Jack smirked at the thought that Martouf was more in danger of Carter than she was of him.
