Brycen Rosenthal - District 1 Male - Age 18

The previous night's banquet was certainly a doozy. At least for Brycen it was. Sapphira wasn't the absolute worst thankfully. She was almost pleasant, and their dancing was fun which would hopefully attract some of the sponsors they needed. Hosanna and Ammo also made excellent company. While they weren't interested in showing off, they talked to a few Capitolites and weren't complete embarrassments, unlike Sam. While Brycen had always had his doubts about accepting the girl into their alliance, her behavior at the banquet made it clear that she had no place with the careers. Not only were her table manners absolutely atrocious, she also randomly burst into a myriad of people's conversations, most notably the Head Gamemaker himself. Brycen had seen examples of Mr. Snow's ruthlessness whilst watching the games at home, and he certainly didn't want him to take out the entirety of the career pack because of Sam's ineptitude.

"We have to kill Sam!" Brycen slammed his hands down on the table before breakfast on the second day of training.

Sapphira, Hosanna, and Ammo had all arrived early as Brycen had informed them that they all needed to have a meeting.

"You mean before the games?" Sapphira asked, "That's not very fun."

"No." Brycen rolled his eyes. Sapphira could be so fucking stupid at times, "During the bloodbath."

The plan was simple. Obviously the careers were going to dominate at the bloodbath and be able to raid the cornucopia once everybody else had escaped their wrath, somebody would tell Sam to get something for them, and then Brycen would shoot her with his bow and arrow. It was foolproof. There was no way she was actually as strong as she said she was, and even if she was, it would still be one against four.

"That's kind of cruel Brycen," Hosanna said after hearing the plan, "She has a husband at home and we did say we'd ally with her."

"So should we just let her live because she's married?" Ammo laughed, "We should just all kill ourselves because Little Miss Lumber has somebody at home waiting to peg her. I can't believe I never thought of it like that."

"It's true we did say we'd ally with her," Brycen admitted, "But we didn't say we'd ally with her the entire time."

"I hate to say this but you're a genius," Sapphira said, "She disgusted me as well."

If Sapphira could agree, that meant the girl truly was as bad as Brycen thought she was.

"Hey guys!" Sam ran over to the table, "What are you guys talking about."

"Bloodbath strategy." Ammo spit out quickly.

"Yeah, um." Sapphira stuttered, "We need to kick some ass."

"You said you wanted to kill your partner right?" Brycen asked.

"Heck ya!" Sam exclaimed, "I hate that kid."

Brycen went over the bloodbath strategy with the group. Technically it was the real strategy, he was just purposely omitting the last step because Sam needed to trust them if they wanted their plan to work. They would run straight towards the cornucopia and attack anybody from the outer districts that seemed weak enough. The only people they would let through were the Tributes from 4 and their alliance, because even though they were assholes for not wanting to join the career pack, they weren't worth messing with early on in the Games, unless of course they attacked first. Sapphira would have her spear and Brycen his bow. Hosanna and Ammo would have knives and Sam would have whatever the fuck it was that she used. An axe. Right. Brycen was quite proud of the plan he had concocted, and if luck was on his side, which it usually was, the bloodbath would be less pressure than the parade.

"I almost had the exact same plan for Sam," Ammo laughed as he walked with Brycen towards the training facility, "You really are brilliant, man."

"I was honestly worried that people would disagree with me," Brycen scanned the area to ensure the girls were far ahead of them enough that they wouldn't be able to hear them, "I thought you in particular would take Hosanna's side."
"Why would I do that?" Ammo asked.

"I see the way you look at her." Brycen said, "There has got to be something going on there."

"I'm not here to find love. I'm here to win," Ammo blushed, "Hosanna is really pretty but that's not the game we're here to play."

"What about before the arena?"

"Like a one night stand?"

"Maybe."

"That would only work if she died at the Bloodbath." Ammo sighed, "And we're not killing her too."

"I guess you're right."

The two spent the rest of their walk in silence. In an odd way, it was nice to talk about something as mundane as girls even though they were quite literally preparing for the fight of their lives. Brycen had thoroughly appreciated Ammo's company. They were similar enough that they didn't argue, but different enough as well. Ammo was slightly less self centered, which Brycen found admirable. He was ridiculously handsome as well, though Brycen had a hard time not being attracted to everything that breathed. He definitely wasn't interested in boys though and like they had just discussed, they weren't here for love, they were here to win.

Christabel Rose Clade - District 12 Female - Age 13

So far the Capitol hadn't been all that Christabel Rose had hoped it would be. While the food was just as delicious as she dreamed, and everybody was just as well dressed as she had imagined, she didn't expect everybody to be so cold. She understood that the Hunger Games were an event to mourn the war's tragedy, but she thought people would still be nice to her and her brother. It all started that night on the train when Dennis, the twins mentor, was absolutely vile toward the two. Christabel Rose had slowly been coming to terms with the fact she was likely going to kick the bucket, but she had at least hoped she'd enjoy herself beforehand. That one boy, Xan had been really nice to her, and he even called her beautiful, but Simon said that he was bad news, and Christabel Rose always trusted Simon. Still, Lucy Gray had fallen in love in the Capitol, and Christabel Rose had secretly wished the same would happen to her, though it wasn't very likely, mostly due to her age. Simon had also tried to flirt with a girl, the one from District 9, but she said she preferred to date other girls, just like their aunt Barb. At least they would have each other. Christabel Rose kept having to repeat that to herself. She did learn something at training though.

"I did it!" She got up from the fire she had just set all by herself and tapped her brother, "Look!"

"You did do it Rose!" Simon hugged her, "We should probably learn some weapons though."

Simon was right, but Christabel Rose was absolutely awful at every weapon she attempted and at least Simon could somewhat use a knife. That would be enough to protect her. Right? Regardless it was a moot point because both of them had no chance at survival. She thought about how they probably should get allies, but Simon had tried that, and he had no luck. But who would want to be allies with the weaklings from District 12 anyways.

"Simon," Christabel Rose patted his shoulder during yet another water break, "I think I hate it here."

Simon bounced into an entire lecture about how Christabel Rose wasn't supposed to be enjoying herself which led her to cry.

"I didn't mean to make you cry!" Simon exclaimed, "I just honestly don't know what you were expecting."

"I was hoping it would be like Lucy Gray."

"You don't know if those stories are true, Rose."

"But I want them to be so they are!"

"Well you're the only reason I'm here in the first place so be appreciative."

The twins rarely fought, so this was out of the ordinary, but Christabel Rose didn't want to make a scene so she simply sat in the corner and continued to sob. How could Simon say that? She knew it was true, but she had never asked for it seriously.

"Are you okay, dear?" A girl asked, Christabel Rose realized she'd dropped some tears on her pants.

"I'll be fine," She sighed, "Just please don't kill me."

"I won't." The girl walked away.

She had long brown hair and crystalizing green eyes. Christabel Rose wasn't sure if she should trust her, since she was with the strong kids, err careers, but it was a sweet gesture. Somebody else would probably kill her anyways.

"Please don't say you were trying to be friends with Sapphira." Simon came up to her, "She can kill you so easily."

"She said she wouldn't," Christabel Rose tried to distance herself from her brother, "And we're not friends, we were just making small talk."

"You know I didn't mean what I said."

"I'm still allowed to be mad at you."

"It's not like it matters anyways," Simon put his arm around her, "We're stuck together now."

Louis Staker - District 11 Male - Age 18

With Brandon around, it was so easy for Louis to forget about Ryan. He had all of Ryan's polite sensibilities, plus he was able to hit a bitch, and he wasn't straight. The only issue was that he's engaged, and one of them was destined to die, but who doesn't love a star crossed lovers situation.

"Hey Louis," Xan interrupted his chain of thought, "I saw you staring at Brandon's ass when he was throwing knives. What's up with that, bro?"

"It's nice," Louis stuttered, "And why were you staring at me, huh?"

"What else was I supposed to stare at?"

"Brandon's ass."

"I'm not gay!"

Xan was a pain in the best way possible. He had horrible luck with the ladies, which was almost endearing, since he was pretty handsome himself.

"Maybe you'd have better luck if you were," Louis laughed, "Not saying you should but it's funny to think about."

"Waitt so do you have a crush on me AND Brandon?" Xan scoffed, going to take his turn at the knife throwing station.

"Neither!" Louis called out.

It was partially a lie. He didn't have a thing for Xan. He just wasn't Louis' type, and that's okay.

"Hey!" Brandon sat down next to Louis, oh god, "What were you and Xan talking about."

"Louis has a crush on you!" Isaac cooed from behind them. Louis had forgotten he was standing there.

"I do not!" He gestured for Isaac to shut the fuck up.

"Good," Brandon laughed, "I'm engaged."

Then it was Louis' turn to throw knives. He picked one up and imagined the target was Ryan's stupid face that morning. So disgusted even though he had clearly enjoyed their sex.

WACK!

Louis had landed a perfect bullseye. But he didn't stop there. He continued to throw the knives, harder and harder with every attempt. It was consistent bullseyes. One after the other. Hopefully Brandon was feeling the same rush that he was. With every throw the memories of Ryan faded further and further into the past. Just the way he liked it.

"You good there?" Brandon tried to pull Louis away from the target, "You look… angry?"

"Am I not supposed to be vicious when I practice killing people," Louis said, picking up another knife and throwing it against the wall.

"You just should probably calm down," Brandon laughed, "This is just practice."

See? What a nice guy! Ryan didn't care like that!

Willadeene Rhodes - District 10 Female - Age 16

Willadeene had made a few allies though it wasn't anything to write home about. Winona from District 6 was a friend. Bariq and Wendy from District 5 were nice to her, and they also had experienced trauma, though Bariq's was more significant for sure. It was even worse than her own trauma, but other than that, Willadeene's time in the Capitol had been relatively uneventful and that was the way she liked it. The games would be her time to shine, and that was all that she needed. A girl Tulip had been kind of rude when she tried to befriend her, but that was her own problem. After all, there could only be one winner.

That's all for training. For those questioning my treatment of Willadeene, she's the only tribute that was specifically submitted with the intent of dying in the bloodbath, hence me not showing her much love. I just wanted to give an update on what she had been up to. Everybody else is fair game to be the victor!
