Adira Price - District 4 Female - Age 17

"You're nervous aren't you?" Mags squeezed Adira's hand, "Don't be. You're a rockstar."

Adira couldn't help it. She'd been doing well enough during training, but private sessions were different. A few Gamemakers passed through the main training room, but other than that Adira had had no real chance to make an actual impression on them. Surely the Peacekeepers had told them what she knew, so there already was a huge target on her back.

"Good luck, Dee!" Luca swung the door open, stepping out of his private session, which meant only one thing: Adira was next.

"How did it go Lu?" The pair had established nicknames for eachother.

"Doesn't matter," Luca pulled her into a hug, "Now go kick some ass."

Adira opened the door and tiptoed into the large room. There were a myriad of objects and weapons, similar to those in the training room, except this time she was all alone. She glanced up to see the Gamemakers in a glass room, looking over her as she walked towards the 'X' spray painted in red in the center of the room.

"Hello!" Adira waved her hands towards the Gamemakers, "I'm Adira Price."

"Hello Ms. Price," Coriolanus Snow, the Head Gamemaker said through a microphone, "You may begin when you are ready."

"I'm ready." She announced, fidgeting with her thumbs. Lord was she nervous.

"Five minutes!" One of the Assistant Gamemakers, Clemensia fiddled with a watch, "Begin!"

As soon as she heard that word Adira was off. She ran to the back of the room and grabbed some throwing knives and a spear and pressed a button that lowered moving targets from the ceiling.

FLICK! FLICK! FLICK!

Adira threw the knives at the target like Mags had instructed her to back in District 4. She lined the bottom of each knife up with her chin and then quickly snapped her wrist, projecting it into the air.

CLUNK! CLUNK! CLUNK!

Each knife made it to the center of the target. Perfect. She ran to the back of the room and got more knives as well as a dummy which she moved towards the center of the room.

GAHHHHH!

She threw the second set of knives into various parts of the dummy. Eyes, throat, heart, even crotch. Fucking phenomenal. She'd demonstrated her knife abilities both on still and moving targets and now it was time to move onto the spear.

HIYAHHHH!

Adira grabbed the spear from the back of the room and threw it across to the opposite side. She ran to that wall and retrieved the spear, launching it at the moving targets she'd previously thrown knives at. The spears interception with one of the targets caused a knife to come falling to the ground. Adira raced to successfully catch it. She tackled the dummy to the ground and used a knife to scale its skin and extract its guts as though it was a fish. Of course the dummy only had stuffing on the inside, but it was the thought that counted.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Adira ran back to the center of the room and curtsied, "Thank you for having me."

Lysistrata, another Assistant Gamemaker stood up to applaud from her seat before being scowled at by Coriolanus and sitting back down.

"Nice work Adira!" Lysistrata called out.

"Thank you for your time," Coriolanus kept his calm posture, "Send in the boy from 5!"

Adira walked out the door to be greeted by Mags and Luca!

"I'm so proud of you!" Luca exclaimed, "I'm so proud of us!"

"I'm proud of you guys too!" Mags cheered, "Solis, send in your boy."

The District 5 mentor obliged and spoke to a quiet boy who had been sitting besides him.

"I have a treat for you guys before your interviews," Mags whispered, "Have you ever tried beef wellington?"

Coriolanus Snow - Head Gamemaker

The private sessions were always the most exhausting part of the Games. One after one, the children would do a mediocre job with a random weapon they had probably just used for the first time that week, and then Coriolanus was forced to seem impressed.

"What did you think this year?" Lysistrata asked as the girl from 12 left the room, "She personally wasn't horrible."
"She's Covey." Coriolanus scoffed, "And in what world is talking almost four minutes to start a fire anything but horrible."

"Well she was cute," Clemensia said from the couch, "At least give her that!"

"I can't stand the two of you sometimes." Coriolanus said.

"Don't you mean most of the time?" Lysistrata laughed.

"If that's what you think." Coriolanus rolled his eyes, "Now, we haven't time to lose. Let's look at my notes."

Lysistrata, Clemensia, and the other assistants gathered around Coriolanus.

Brycen Rosenthal, District 1 Male:

Shot bow and arrow at targets of various heights and speeds. Never missed. Went in with a pocket knife and absolutely demolished dummy. Very charming. 10.

Sapphira Starlett, District 1 Female:

Beautiful eyes. Wow. Did some sort of fancy combat routine. Entertaining for sure. Used a naginata which is definitely bold. Why is she doing a strip tease at the camouflage station? Oh, this is alright. She's lifting weights. She's strong. 10.

Ammo Lawson, District 2 Male:

A throwing star. Interesting. Would be better if he made more than 80% of his hits. He looked nervous. Also used a spear which was a bit better than the throwing star. 8.

Hosanna Guerra, District 2 Female:

Wow! She can really use a sword! Definitely a 10 right off the bat. She's asking for a lower score. She deserved better but I'm feeling nice. 7.

Jacob "Pow" Powell, District 3 Male:

He's not wearing a shirt. Sure. Bow and arrow is his weapon of choice. Almost good at it, emphasis on almost. He's winked several times. He has potential. 7.

Ada Barr, District 3 Female:

Not going for a weapon right away. Seems to be building something. It looks like a flashlight. Oops! It didn't work. 4.

Luca Pargus, District 4 Male:

Throws spears at dummies. Multiple times. Honestly a bit repetitive though. At least he's good at it. He's using a net to fish. Boring. But again, he's good at it. 8.

Adira Price, District 4 Female:

Definitely has range. Various weapons at various targets. The most interesting part was when she gutted the dummy like it was a fish. She clearly has star power. 10.

Bariq Fossil, District 5 Male:

He appears to be trying to do something with a scythe. That something probably wasn't drop it and then start shaking. He sort of did some hits at the end. 3.

Wendy Roofer, District 5 Female:

She is standing in the center of the room. WHY ISN'T SHE MOVING? Ok… this is boring. Maybe I should get some grapes. 0.

Xan Freight, District 6 Male:

What the hell did this guy do during training? He's just tying knots. Why is he taking off his shirt. Why is he taking off his pants? He is wearing tighty whities. That's special. He's now dancing. Good work? 4.

Winona Morgan, District 6 Female:

So she can run, really fast. She can also start a fire. Both good things. She's throwing knives and is missing. 6.

Cedar Ranthine, District 7 Male:

He can pick up an axe! Did not expect that from a little guy. He can't quite throw it but he can hit things with it. 6.

Sam Hillgaze, District 7 Female:

She's throwing axes too! She can actually make hits with them which is a plus. Oh wait, that's the girl that interrupted me at the banquet. Nevermind. 5.

Logan Webster, District 8 Male:

He's sparring with one of the dummies which is kind of funny since they don't fight back. He also realized it's funny as he's laughing. He appears to be having fun. 7.

Velvette Wilmington, District 8 Female:

She's rattling off facts about poison. Very interesting. Just kidding, I'm bored yet again. Now she's setting up traps. Oops, time is up. 4.

Isaac Galavan, District 9 Male:

He's just screaming at the wall. Definitely very loud. 3.

Summer Lindell, District 9 Female:

She's talking about plants which is more interesting than poison. She's also showing close up fighting with a dagger and isn't the worst at it. 7.

Brandon Colt, District 10 Male:

This is fun! He is lassoing things with rope! He's also doing some heavy lifting which is cool to see for sure. Also is very good with projectiles. 8.

Willadeene Rhodes, District 10 Female:

She's trying a whole bunch of weapons. Shame she isn't very good with most of them. 5.

Louis Staker, District 11 Male:

Bow and arrow. Classic. Wait where did he go? Hold up how did he get in our room? Ok phew, Lysistrata is escorting him out. That was impressive. 8.

Tulip Everly, District 11 Female:

Why is she talking about me? Is my hair really uneven? Why does she care? She's now throwing knives. Good at it but she's an ass. 6.

Simon Steel Clade, District 12 Male:

He's using a slingshot! Would be cute if he wasn't Covey. Also, what good is a slingshot? 5.

Christabel Rose Clade, District 12 Female:

It appears she's trying to start a fire. Shame it took so long. 3.
