Logan Webster - District 8 Male - Age 16

The past few days had been pretty shitty for Logan but he was trying to stay optimistic, which was pretty hard since Cedar and Velvette both died within 12 hours of each other. He was never the best at showing his emotions, and that certainly came out when Velvette approached him about Cedar's death. Truthfully, he was devastated about it, but unlike Velvette's death, he was unable to directly prevent it. Her death honestly did leave Logan rather devastated. He'd always had anger issues, and could often be overly arrogant, but of course of course OF COURSE, he just had to let them get the best of him, and now his friend was dead. While Logan wasn't quite sure how she died, he assumed it was a career, which was a fair assumption.

As disgusting as it was a thought, Velvette being dead did mean Logan had more food, and he couldn't complain about not having to share. In fact, it had been five days in the arena without Logan even feeling slightly hungry, and he still had food to share. His only worry, granted a very valid one, was that if the careers, or anybody with a weapon for that matter were to approach him, he'd be reunited with Cedar and Velvette, and not in the way he wanted to be. While Logan first campaigned solely because he was going to die anyways and wanted to have fun beforehand, as time progressed his views changed. Logan's time in the Capitol certainly taught him a lot.

Yes, the Capitol was full of a bunch of oppressive bitches, but those oppressive bitches had the best hospitality in the world. But it wasn't just the food and the facemasks that made Logan enjoy himself; it was also the people. Sure Velvette was extremely clumsy, and Cedar could go on for hours about how much his parents hated him –Logan was sure it wasn't that much– but despite those quirks, they were genuinely good people who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, much like him. Yeah yeah yeah, they both assaulted people, and Cedar's reason was way more valid than Velvette's, but those moments weren't what defined them. Before meeting his gang of misfits, Logan was convinced he was a horrible person, but now he knew that his intentions were pure, and he didn't deserve to die because of them. Which was why he wasn't going to. If he had made it to the top twelve, who was to say that he couldn't win? The sponsors loved him, clearly, as they had been sending him notes of encouragement along with various survival supplies, and they would still love him until his dying breath, which hopefully wouldn't be for a long time. His only concern was that when he won, who was to say that they still wouldn't execute him? A criminal had never won the Games before, so there was no real precedent. Logan hoped that his victory would set the precedent though, that Victors should be able to have their records cleared of all crimes. He was ready to be a part of Panem history, both as the Victor of the 25th Hunger Games, and as the one who set a precedent for all the outcast kids just like him.

Livia Cardew - District 6 Escort

Truth be told, Miss Livia Cardew was head over heels in love with Mister Coriolanus Snow, and had been for as long as she could remember. It was really rather embarrassing that she was just as stuck on him as he was stuck on Lucy Gray, but she'd never point out that similarity aloud. It had been two days since the event, yet Livia was still absolutely flabbergasted that she somehow convinced Coriolanus to marry her. While what she said about the marriage being mutually beneficial for both of them politically was true, she was certain Coriolanus would be a fine President without her, she simply couldn't resist shamelessly manipulating him into taking her hand in marriage. While she said that she too wanted the political gains that would come from the marriage, secretly she simply wanted to feel less alone. Livia had never been in a serious romantic relationship, partially because she was stuck on Coriolanus, but also because nobody else seemed to tolerate her. Coriolanus did always say that her voice was annoying, but it was better than him saying that she herself was annoying, like the other boys did. Coriolanus was equally annoying at times, but it was almost charming. Him making a ring for her out of paper was probably the most ridiculous thing she had ever seen, hence her making him properly propose to her, but it was equally adorable that he genuinely thought that was how a healthy romantic relationship was supposed to function. Regardless of the odd nuances in the relationship, Livia was ecstatic when Coriolanus called her to his office during what was a mellow day in the arena.

"Come this way," Lysistrata tapped Livia as she watched the Games with her fellow Escorts, "There's a surprise for you!"
"Does it involve Coryo?" She couldn't help but ask.

Lysistrata nodded her head. This must be his big proposal! Livia was led through the halls of the arena, and up the elevator to the Gamemakers' office. Once she exited the elevator, she noticed the hallway was dim, and the Gamemakers were holding candles.

"I'll take it from here," Clemensia grinned as she grabbed Livia's hand, "Follow me."

"She's going to love it," Lysistrata not-so-subtly whispered into Clemensia's ear, "We did such a good job planning this."

Well that was cute! Coriolanus needed help from his friends to plan what could only be Livia's proposal. Once Clemensia got to the end of the hallway, where Coriolanus' office was located, she instructed Livia to go into the office. Livia cracked open the door to see candles of various shapes and sizes covering the room, and Coriolanus in the center, holding a single white rose. He looked so handsome.

"For you," Coriolanus handed Livia the rose.

"Why am I here?" Livia asked, inches away from his beautiful blue eyes.

"Shut up!" He laughed, "You wanted me to propose to you so let me."

"Go on then," Livia said, tucking the rose behind her ear.

"Livia Cardew," Coriolanus took a knee and pulled out the most beautiful diamond ring she'd ever seen, "Would you do me the honor of being my wife?"

Livia couldn't help but cry. While it appeared she was crying out of excitement for the marriage, secretly it was because she was so devastated that her feelings for Coriolanus would never be reciprocated, and as hard as she tried, she'd always be a pawn in his wicked game, "I'd love to marry you."

Coriolanus slipped the ring on Livia's finger and grabbed her by the waist, "If we're going to convince the whole country we're in love, we should probably practice acting like it." He kissed Livia's cheek.

"Oh?" She muttered, in disbelief that the moment she'd spent years waiting for was about to finally happen.

Coriolanus put his hand on Livia's chin and began kissing her softly. As much as she wanted to sink into the feeling of his lips on hers, she couldn't help but think that if she opened her eyes, she'd see his staring right back at her.

Tulip Everly - District 11 Female - Age 18

While Tulip never thought she'd make it to the sixth day of The Hunger Games, she obviously wasn't going to complain about it. She'd been eating like shit, but she no longer minded eating all the trash and all the berries if it meant she'd one day be able to make it out alive, whenever that would be. She basically had a daily routine at that point, which was to wake up, vote for it to rain since she was always thirsty, get annoyed when it didn't rain because the careers were a voting block and what they said went, and then hide and eat horribly until the sun went down and she had to repeat the same thing over again. The sixth day was just like the previous ones except after the weather shifted from overcast to sunny, Tulip felt her wristband beep, so she tapped it and watched as a projection of Head Gamemaker Snow delivered a message.

"Good morning Tributes! As you may have noticed, none of you died yesterday!" Tulip rolled her eyes, "That's quite boring, is it not? Head to the Cornucopia Building for a special surprise within the next 15 minutes."

While Tulip was dreading human interaction, she knew that she had no choice but to go, so she picked up her crowbar and headed to the marble building. When she arrived at the building, projections instructed her to place her weapons in a bin, promising she'd receive them at the end of whatever was going on, as well as promising death if she didn't obey. She walked inside the building where sections were blocked off giving her no choice but to walk downstairs into a room Tulip had never seen before. The room had twelve chairs placed along a curved table, with ample space between each one along with a podium in the center. The career pack had already arrived and were sitting at one end of the curve, and the girl from 12 was at the other end. Tulip decided to sit next to the girl from 4 who seemed the friendliest out of the bunch. As soon as she hit the chair, bars locked around her which meant she was stuck. After waiting in silence for a few minutes, the boy from 10 sat next to her, then the boy from 8 and after a couple more, the girl from 9, as well as the boys from 3 and 4 filled in the empty space. Everyone appeared to be equally scared of the situation. The boy from 4 kept staring at the career pack with tears in his eyes, and the boy from 3 kept wiping his face with his bloodied shirt, which was honestly horrific.

"Thank you for joining me today!" A projection of Head Gamemaker Snow appeared behind the center podium, "It's time for us to do some more voting."

Electronic ballots with the Tributes' names appeared on the table.

"Since yesterday was absolutely boring," the Head Gamemaker sighed, "I decided we should spice it up a bit! And by that, I mean one of you is going to die!"
Tulip gasped.

"You have five minutes to select somebody on your ballot and whoever gets the most votes, will be ending their time in the arena." The projection faded, being replaced by a clock.

Tulip scanned the room, debating who she should mark down on her ballot. The careers were muttering but she was unable to make out any words. Obviously Tulip couldn't vote for any of them, as that would put a huge target on her back, and it wasn't like she'd win anyways, and she didn't have the heart to vote for the girl from 12. That left the girl from 9 and the boys from 3, 4, 8, and 10. The only question now was who was most threatening. While the boy from 10 seemed to have a permanent scowl on his face, and the girl from 9 and the boys from 4 and 8 looked harmless, the boy from 3 had a huge bloodstain on his shirt, meaning he was definitely a threat, since he would have needed to at the very least hurt somebody to get that stain. She heard the number three come from the gossiping careers, which left Tulip without an ounce of shame as she pressed "Pow" on her ballot.

Luca Pargus - District 4 Male - Age 18

The voting for execution scenario was seriously stressing Luca out, which was perfectly normal given the situation. He'd voted for Tulip, the girl from 11, since she looked intimidating, and a vote for the careers was worthless, but he was horrified that others would think the same about him, which would mean him dying and never seeing Micah, or much worse, his moms ever again. He tried to lean back in the uncomfortable seat as the clock ticked down to zero, his hands holding Summer's and Pow's from under the table, as the alarm beeped, causing straps to lock everybody's hands in place, forcing Luca to let go of his allies.

"Thank you for voting in such a timely manner," Mr. Snow's projection reappeared from where it previously was, "I'm not going to waste too much time, so let me just read off the votes."

"Sapphira from District 1 has voted for Pow!"

Pow flinched in his seat and watched as his face appeared on the wall, with the number one under it.

"Brycen from District 1 has voted for Pow!"

The counter went up by one.

"Hosanna from District 2 has voted for Pow!"

The counter was at three.

"Ammo from District 2 has voted for Pow!"

Four.

"Pow from District 3 has voted for Tulip!"

Luca sighed as he saw another face on the screen. Hopefully Pow wouldn't get any more votes.

"Adira from District 4 has voted for Pow!"

Luca couldn't help but verbally gasp. How the hell could she betray them like that? She mouthed "I'm sorry" from across the room, but it was too late, as Luca was already devastated.

"Luca from District 4 has voted for Tulip!"

While Pow was still ahead, it was good to see Tulip catching up.

"Logan from District 8 has voted for Tulip!"

The counter went up.

"Summer from District 9 has voted for Tulip!"

The next votes were what really mattered. If the boy from 10 voted for Pow, they were screwed, but if he voted for Tulip, then it would be a tie, leaving Tulip to break it, and assuming she didn't vote for herself, she could either sentence Pow to death, or leave it up to the baby from 12 to decide his friend's fate.

"Brandon from District 10 has voted for Luca."

Well shit. At least Luca wouldn't personally die. Now it was all up to the Tulip to not vote for Pow, hopefully allowing the girl from 12 to create a tie, and maybe a tie meant that nobody would die.

"Tulip from District 11 has voted for Pow!"

Pow's face occupied the screen on the wall.

"Christabel Rose from District 12 voted for Ammo but that doesn't matter," Mr. Snow laughed, "Pow, I hope you enjoyed yourself."

Pow's seat levitated and flew to the center of the room. A drone came and placed something on his head and began counting down from five. Luca wasn't sure what was louder, his friend's head exploding or the cannon that immediately followed. As soon as Luca was done following the procedures to get his knife back, he knew what he had to do. As mad as he was at Adira, Tulip made him more furious because had she just voted for somebody else, everything would be okay. Luca started running around, looking for her.

"Where are you going?" Summer screamed, "Luca come back!"

Luca found Tulip by a tree and watched in horror as she took out a crowbar, but he didn't watch for long as he felt his knife ram into her chest, causing her to fall to the ground when BOOM!

"What did you do, Luca?" Summer ran over to him, staring at Tulip's dead body, "I thought we agreed to only kill people when they directly threatened us."

"She killed Pow." Luca grunted. He honestly had no idea what had gotten into him. First he saw Tulip take out the crowbar, and the next thing he knew she was dead. It was like he'd been possessed.

"Six people killed Pow," Summer sighed, "It wasn't just her."

"I know." Luca said, rolling over Tulip's body since he couldn't stare at her face any longer, "I don't know why, but something made me do it."

"I've never seen you like that Luca." Summer was crying, "Please don't do that again."

"I can't make any promises but I hope I don't." He grabbed the crowbar from Tulip's clammy hand, "But look, I got you a present!"

That was probably my most intense chapter yet but I hope everyone loved it. I did some updates to the blog so head to wethepeople25 . weebly . com to check it out, and let me know what you think!
