Brycen Rosenthal - District 1 Male - Age 18

As the days increased, Brycen's temper moved in the opposite direction. It's not that he was stubborn, but rather he was sick of the Games dragging out so far. He'd watched the Games in years past of course, but it was hard for him to grasp the passage of time since he wasn't an active participant. He'd grown sick of his alliance which certainly didn't help his boredom. Never in a million years did Brycen think Sapphira would be the lesser of two annoyances in a situation, but Ammo proved him wrong. He was fine at first, albeit a tad feisty, but ever since Hosanna died, he had grown rather feral, for lack of a better word. He'd constantly be trying to knock things over, or insist on hunting down fellow Tributes, and at times, Brycen felt that he and Sapphira were practically babysitters, though they never dared to provoke him since he was built like a tank and had more kills than either of them, meaning an attempted assasination would easily put Brycen's face in the sky. The only positive of Ammo's recent shift of sorts was that it took away the guilt Brycen worried he would face when the time came that he would have to kill him. Brycen would be perfectly able to kill him as he slept, since even Ammo's sweet smile and sharp jawline couldn't protect him from Brycen's desire to win, though he'd sworn to postpone Ammo's death for as long as possible, for the sake of his own protection.

When he and Sapphira returned from the feast, they were worrisome that Ammo would be displeased with their inability to kill Adira, and while he was upset, he thought they were "hilarious" for tricking him since her face did appear in the sky that night, for reasons unbeknownst to Brycen. They didn't care to correct him. Brycen was upset when Adira was missing that morning, but not to the extent of the others, since he understood that this was how the Games worked, and she did help the career pack to some extent, since she made a killing at the bloodbath. Brycen didn't quite understand why Adira left, but it wasn't like he'd ever know the answer anyways since she was dead and gone. Surely she didn't go back to her old allies, since they were friends with the hunk from 3 who the careers helped execute, and likely wouldn't take her back. Brycen secretly hoped her former allies were the ones who killed her since that would be "good television," as Sapphira often said.

"What's today's plan?" Ammo asked after the morning had basically been spent sitting around and doing nothing, "Should we kill somebody? Narrow the pool?"

Brycen had been thinking about the same thing. He couldn't be the only one who was surprised that the girl from 12 was somehow still alive, so he decided it was about time she'd be picked off. He didn't care to tell the others though, since he was secretly upset that Ammo had more kills then he did, and he knew getting rid of her would be easy, meaning he'd be able to tie with Ammo, and eventually overtake him. The amount of kills one made was trivial, sure, but that didn't mean that Brycen didn't want to have more, since it was the sort of food his ego trived on.

"I think I'm going to go to the city and get some wires," Brycen lied, finding a way to go out for his mission to kill the girl from 12, "So we can make supplies like the boy from 10 did."

Ammo and Sapphira both immediately offered to join him, but he turned them down saying they needed to guard their stash of supplies which had recently increased thanks to the feast. A lot of the items they received were trivial, such as applique crystals that Sapphira put on her naginata, but other items were helpful, such as the additional arrow's for Brycen's bow. He took a handful of them and put them in his pocket, then a knife for his pocket just in case things got up close and personal.

Surprisingly, it took Brycen quite a bit of time to find the girl. He'd searched the whole forest and was about to move onto the city when he saw a petite figure in a meadow of grass, which he could all but confirm was her, and luckily, his assumption was correct. He saw the girl, weaving daisies into a crown which she had put in her hair, and couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of remorse for her, but at least he felt some remorse, which would have not been the case had Ammo been the one doing the killing. He removed one arrow from his pocket and shot it, aiming for her chest, but missing tremendously. He'd missed his arrow at the boy from 4 the day before which was certainly concerning. Perhaps Lady Luck was done dancing with him. Regardless, Brycen's missed arrow caught the attention of the girl, who grabbed the arrow and began running. She was rather quick, as young girls tended to be, as she ran through the meadows onto a hilltop. Throughout this chase, Brycen shot arrow after arrow, consistently missing, angering him tremendously. He didn't give up hope however, since he knew that if he could physically catch up to her, he'd be able to snap her neck and it would still be an easy kill.

As the grounds got steeper, Brycen's pace decreased, while the girl's was consistent. He finally almost caught up with her when OOPS he fell to the ground and noticed he'd done the impossible. Brycen had somehow tripped over his own arrow in his pocket, and was now heavily bleeding in his right side since the tip had punctured his skin. It was ridiculously unlucky, but Brycen was sure he'd be able to make a run for it and heal up later. That however was not the case, as before he could get up, Brycen saw the girl from 12, with one of his shamefully missed arrows up to his throat. He reached for his knife, but he must have dropped it during his chase, since it was nowhere to be found. How could he be so unlucky? He looked up at the girl one last time, and tried not to scream as she dragged his arrow down his throat.

Coriolanus Snow - Head Gamemaker

Absolutely ridiculous! Coriolanus stared at his screen with disgust as Lucy Gray's stupid niece somehow made her second kill of the Games, and this time it was a career. How the hell was she not dead yet? Coriolanus had taken any gift that a sponsor had bought for her, and kept it in his office, yet she was still alive and apparently making kills. At this point there was a one in six chance that she would wind up winning it all, and Coriolanus simply could not have that happen. He hadn't brought out a mutt yet, as he was thoroughly enjoying watching the tributes kill each other all by themselves, but it was getting to the point where he simply had to. He'd considered taking out the girl from 4 with one, but luckily her own ally took care of her, which was wildly entertaining by the way. While he disliked her and her otherworldly connections, Lucy Gray's niece was a whole separate disaster. Call him crazy, but Coriolanus simply could not have another one of those Covey people winning. He absolutely loathed them, and the way they reminded him of Lucy Gray. Every single one of them did, with their gimmicky musical talents and "charming" personalities. The amount of sponsors she got after she sang that stupid meadow song when her brother died was absurd. The sponsors clearly didn't understand the true meaning of that song, because if they did, they too would practically be making grape juice with their fists. Coriolanus wasn't immune to the situation's absurdity, especially since he was recently engaged, but that didn't mean he couldn't take out his anger however he wanted.

"It's done sir," Clemensia came into Coriolanus' office, "The mutt you wanted."

"Excellent," He followed her into a room where his creation was waiting for him, along with Lysistrata whose arms were crossed, clearly in admiration for his beauty.

It was everything that he had dreamed of, the long body of a python, perfectly fused with the head of a bird. As gross as it appeared, especially with its enormous wings, surely it would get the job done.

"I think this is a bit crazy of you still," Lysistrata said, "She didn't even meet Lucy Gray."

"Close enough." Coriolanus sighed, "Way too close."

"Whatever you say!" She sighed, "Would you like to do the honors of releasing your special little beast."

"Sure thing." Coriolanus placed his hands on the big red button that read "LAUNCH" and counted down from ten before firmly applying pressure.

"LG-10 IS BEING DEPLOYED!" The intercom announced before releasing the beast.

Coriolanus returned to his seat and watched as it started approaching the girl. He put his hand in his bowl of grapes and popped a few into his mouth. This should be fun.

Christabel Rose Clade - District 12 Female - Age 13

Somehow she'd done it again! Christabel Rose could hardly believe it when she heard the cannon fire as a result of her actions once again. Simon must be so proud of her, and her parents must be so utterly confused. Unlike the boy from the first day, Christabel Rose actually spent a fair bit of time with this corpse, collecting the arrows around it, as well as the bow as she awaited the drone that would lift him from the arena. She hadn't been around somebody, just the two of them, for far too long, and even though he was dead, Christabel Rose couldn't help but imagine the boy from 1 was Simon, and he had fallen asleep after they went on a picnic together. Christabel Rose sang a few lines of music to the body as it was lifted into the air, before weeping once she realized that she was alone all over again, and there was no purpose in pretending that she wasn't beforehand.

It's sooner than later that I'm six feet under.

It's sooner than later that you'll be alone.

So who will you turn to tomorrow, I wonder?

For when the bell rings, lover, you're on your own.

It was a song that Christabel Rose remembered being sung to her when she was a child, and the lyrics had hit closer to home the longer she remained alive in the arena without Simon. She'd never felt so lost, since nobody gave her gifts or anything, and with every boom of the cannon, Christabel Rose was reminded that she was alone. She continued her meandering for goodies dropped by the boy from 1 for a few minutes when she heard a hissing sound. She looked around in every direction, unable to make out where it was coming from, assuming it was the boy from 1's allies, when she tilted her head back and saw what truly was a sickening beast.

It was essentially a snake with wings, and it was nasty that was for sure. Christabel Rose was now in a life or death situation, and there was no running away this time. She gathered her arrows and shot them at the creature, but she wasn't strong enough to make any sort of impact as they either failed to make contact or barely touched the creature, which was getting dangerously closer. Christabel Rose panicked as she stabbed it with an arrow which caused it to snap at her, biting into her neck. The good news was that she'd seemingly killed it with her arrow, as she heard a large SNAP when she made contact, but the bad news was that she couldn't stop bleeding, and she reckoned the bite contained some sort of poison since she was starting to hallucinate Simon running to her, only to scream that she was worthless then leave. She knew this wasn't the real Simon but the words still hurt as she sang to herself whilst fading out of existence.

Everyone's born as clean as a whistle —

As fresh as a daisy

And not a bit crazy.

Staying that way's a hard row for hoeing —

As rough as a briar,

Like walking through fire

She imagined her father and her mother, watching her as she died, squeezing each other a bit tighter than before, whilst hopefully also being happy she'd be with Simon again. She hoped her parents weren't the only ones watching though. Maybe everybody else in 12 was also tuned in and were also proud of her.

This world goes blind

When children are dying.

I turn into dust, but

You never stop trying.

It's why I

Love you —

You're pure as the driven snow.

As the drone approached her, she could feel Lucy Gray's arm extending to her, inviting Christabel Rose to join her, promising concerts, and stories from the past with Simon, who finally believed she existed.

This world, it's cruel,

With troubles aplenty.

You asked for a reason —

I've got three and twenty

For why I

Trust you —

You're pure as the driven snow.

Christabel Rose closed her eyes for the last time and heard the cannon sound as she was raised into the sky. She called out Simon's name as everything turned black, and a single mockingbird flew across the arena humming songs of rebellion and remembrance.

Well shit… That was a doozy if I do say so myself. I'm emotional now wow. I need a hug.

7th Place, Brycen Rosenthal (D1M) - Killed by Christabel Rose Clade

Brycen, when I first read your form I was overwhelmed as hell because I didn't know how I could possibly do you justice, but I hope that I did. You were one of my favorites all along and I hate to see you go. Para, you said in your form to make the death as unlucky as possible, and I think this qualifies, even though you hate CR. Anyways, thank you for supplying me with Brycen, as he was a treat, and I hope you submit to my next one since you have amazing ideas for tributes.

6th Place, Christabel Rose Clade (D12F) - Killed by a mutt

Christabel Rose, CR, Rose, Baby, you were just… the best. If I wasn't such a slut for canon, you would have killed everybody in the bloodbath because I love you so much. As soon as I read your form I knew I was fucked because I was so attached to you right away, but knew you couldn't win. I cried every time I wrote about you or your brother, and I am sobbing right now. I hope that you are making music with Lucy Gray in heaven, and that you're singing like the star that you are. Chayse, thank you for breaking my heart with them in the best way possible. They were just the best, and I appreciate you submitting them to me even though you knew they wouldn't win. I hope I did your babies justice.
