A room of photographs, ever changing, if you closed your eyes and wished you'd see the picture right before your eyes.

END hadn't meant to discover it. After all END didn't miss anything. Or so he told himself. So, when he opened his eyes and saw himself, his old self, the pink hair tooth grinned boy, no, child he burnt it. And then every other photograph in there, him standing in the center, watching all the pictures turn to ashes, and watching the ashes turn to dust.

He did not want to be that again, he had been so weak, Natsu had been so foolish, so humiliating. Now he was looked at with such fear. END was seen as powerful, more powerful than Natsu could ever be. Why would he wish to go back to such fragility?

The fire didn't spread, Lucy had been correct, they really didn't know what would happen to the place if burnt it down and from the looks of things, they didn't have the resources to build a new manor.

Questioning the stars magic was something END didn't want to do, as powerful as he was the stars held more power than the spirit king, a descendant that even END was unsure he could have beaten. In his time END only found himself fighting battles he knew he could win, which were most. Of course, he hadn't predicted the star's involvement in the Fairy Wars, had he known just how attached the spirits had become to Lucy then possibly he wouldn't have considered acknowledging their war cry. Or maybe he would have snuffled Lucy's light out before the stars could have grown such attachments.

Stepping out of the ashy room, END went to explore some more, he could hear Lucy's thundering footsteps, no doubt having smelt the smoke. He almost stayed to see how she'd react. Imagining the hope leave her eyes, he could see it. As he had before. Remind her you're a monster, he told himself. Reminder her what you are.

The thundering came to a stop as Lucy stood outside the door, END waited around the corridor, holding his breath, it creaked open, his hand twitched. A gasp came from the room and then END fled from the scene, his wings dragging behind him like a cloak. No longer was he in the mood to ruin.

END was done with rooms that never ended and gold rimmed carpets. Shoving the patio doors open END went outside, letting the crisp evening air struck him,

Eventually finding himself sitting by a lake vast and further than his eyes could travel, interesting he hadn't remembered this when he'd first tried to leave their little land.

Pocketing that piece of information end looked down to see koi fish swimming, seemingly unafraid of the big bad monster in front of them. Their tails flicking, swaying like lace.

It had been many years since END had sat so peacefully by a lake. He wasn't sure he ever had in such a form. Memories of fishing with Happy crossed his mind, they had been quite a pair, Natsu had spent as much time fishing in apology to Happy as he had for joy. Always getting that cat into trouble, Lucy too he supposed, remembering a rather large amount of times Natsu had apologized to her as well. END scoffed at the memories. The demon king didn't apologize, if he wanted fish he could have had a thousand so there had been no fishing either. Nor company…

The fish swam away when the threw some rocks at the water, irritated by his own thoughts, then irritated by his own outburst. END didn't throw tantrums yet twice in one day he was having hissy fits like a child.

Never, never had END been…bothered by such…humanity. It had left him alone, the thoughts of them, he had thought memories such as though had been erased since then. That had been the point, hadn't it?

What was to become of him in this new world of stardust magic and emptiness.

an incredibly short chapter that cant really be counted as a chapter, I wanted a small insight from END, see whats been going on with him. next chapter will be longer and much more exciting! i promise :)

I want to thank you all so much for reviewing, favouriting and following, it warms my heart truly. i didn't even think one person would read it so I'm honoured even if there are just a few of us!
