(A/N: I don't want to start making this a habit, but since I've been so long without an update, I'm uploading this chapter in the different parts, so here's part 1 of 3.)

Hachiman proceeded to push his feet on his bike pedals as he rode his bike down the road near his house, he was heading towards the downtown area of Chiba and he was going a bit slower than he would usually go because he had to be careful with the extra passenger sitting behind him. The person sitting behind him was Yukino and she was currently wearing a blue dress that had transparent sleeves, a transparent light blue petticoat underneath, black stockings, and a pair of low black heels, while Hachiman was wearing his black blazer with a gray dress shirt, grey slacks and his regular shoes. They were heading into downtown Chiba to help gather ideas on what to recommend to sell for their proposal to have a bake sale to assist the cooking club, but that was just a secondary thought, what they were really going to do was have their first official date. Neither one of them counted their trip of the seaside park/beach as their first date because they were there for the purpose of gathering info for the joint prom and while they were going into town to gather info for the bake sale proposal, both of them considered this to be more of a date-like atmosphere than just a stroll in the park.

Twenty minutes later, Downtown Chiba
Hachiman parked his bike and proceeded to lock it up on a bike rack just outside a nearby train station platform before he began to walk across the street towards a cafe, where Yukino was currently sitting at and waiting as Hachiman walked into the cafe area and to the table that Yukino was sitting at, taking a seat in the chair that was right across from her.
"So, what's the plan?" Hachiman asked, "Any ideas on how you want to handle this bake sale?"
"For now, we're just going to go around town and just gather ideas as to what can be made easily and in a large amount by a group of high school students" Yukino said, "We shouldn't concentrate on items that are either too complicated, take too long to make, or a regular student can't afford."
"It'd probably also be a good idea to check a few local supermarkets to see if we can find any good baking products on sale, just in case the school doesn't want us to use the cooking supplies in the Home Ec room" Hachiman said, "I mean, they're technically not an official club yet, so the school may not be willing to let them use the cooking supplies that are meant for Home ec class."
"That's not a bad idea, but we can also do that later on after we go around and check the different places" Yukino said, as she glanced at the little menu in front of her, "Komachi-san and the others are supposed to be checking out other bakeries and cafes on the other side of town, correct?"
"Yeah, Komachi, Yui, and Isshiki left early this morning so they could have enough time to check around at the different places" Hachiman said
'She wanted to make certain that we could spend time by ourselves today...' Yukino thought, as she saw a waitress walking up towards them
"Hello, How can I help you?" the waitress asked, wearing a maid costume
"I'll have your iced MAX coffee" Hachiman said, as he set the menu down on the table, "What're you getting, Yukino?"
"I'll have your Honeydew milk tea" Yukino said, as she closed the menu and set it back down on the table...

Hachiman and Yukino were currently preocupied with giving their order to the waitress that neither of them were paying attention to what was going on across the street, namely the three girls that were currently hiding behind a bench and occasionally peeking over it, just so they could see what was going on with Hachiman and Yukino.
"S-Shouldn't we get going and help to get prepared for the bake sale?" Yui asked, "I mean, that is what we agreed to do today-"
"We've got all day to work on that, Yui-san!" Komachi said, interrupting Yui, "How often are we going to get a chance to spy on them while they're out as a couple?"
"Don't worry, Yui-senpai, we're just going to watch them for a little bit and then get started with the request." Isshiki said, as she started grinning like a cheshire cat, "Besides, I'd figured that you'd want to watch and see where Yukino-senpai makes mistakes so you know what to work on when you snatch Senpai from her-"
"Oi." Komachi said, interrupting Isshiki with an annoyed look on her face, "Don't go putting bad ideas in Yui-sans' head, homewrecker."
"Don't call me a homewrecker, rice-girl!" Isshiki said, glaring at Komachi
"Both of you, down!" Yui said, as she yanked both of them down, behind the bench, "Yukino almost saw you!"

Yukino's eyes darted across the street towards an empty bench as she looked at it for a few moments before she turned back towards Hachiman, shaking her head for a moment as she had thought that she had heard Isshiki's voice over there for a brief moment, only to see nothing there as she turned back to see Hachiman looking at her.
"Something wrong?" Hachiman asked
"Sorry, I thought I heard someone..." Yukino said, as she turned to the waitress, "Did you need something else?"
"Actually, we have a promotion going on today, so I have to ask..." the waitress said, "Are the two of you a couple?"
"H-Huh?" Yukino asked surprised, "Y-yes, we're a c-couple..."
"Okay, because today, our cafe is having a special offer on our famous 'Pancake Surprise' for all couples that come into the cafe today!" The waitress said, "It's two pancakes with strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream, we can also take a commerative photo of the dish with you two and give you each a copy of the photo for your own personal use."
"U-umm..." Yukino said, as she looked at Hachiman, "D-Do you want to try it?"
'H-hold on, why is she asking me if I want to try it? Am I obligated to try it since we're dating or are we going to-' Hachiman thought before realizing what was going on, 'A-Am I going to have to pose and feed her like all those normie couples do? I-Is she going to have to do this? D-does she want to do this?'
"If you need a few more minutes to deci-" The waitress began
"A-Actually..." Hachiman said, cutting the waitress off, "We'll take the couples pancake surprise as well, please?"
"Okay!" The waitress said, as she wrote down the order, "I'll go place the order!"
Hachiman watched as the waitress made her way off as he sighed and looked over at Yukino, who was blushing as she looked down at the table, but he could easily see that she had a smile on her face, which made doing this worth the effort, so the two of them started to make small talk among each other for a little while until their waitress came back with their drinks in her hands, setting them on the table and walked back into the cafe. The two of them began to enjoy their drinks and continued to talk until she came back with the 'Pancake Surprise', which was two pancakes stacked on top of each other, whipped cream around the edge of the pancakes with slices of bananas circling around the entire pancake, the top of the pancake had pieces of strawberries that were placed next to each other in the shape of the heart with more whipped cream going around the strawberry pieces.
"Here's your 'Pancake surprise'!" The waitress said, "Would you like to take a picture?"
"S-Sure..." Yukino said, "How do you want us to-"
"Yukino?" A voice called out as Yukino's smile clearly fell from her face as she saw this platinum-blonde woman that was wearing a black suit and skirt, white dress shirt, black stockings, and black heels walking towards them from across the street, as Yukino slowly scooted her chair from sitting on the other side of the table to sitting right next to Hachiman before she locked her arm around him, which surprised Hachiman because he had no idea as to why this woman had Yukino clearly off-guard to the point that Yukino had to move closer to him.
"Can you come back for the photo later?" Yukino asked, as the waitress nodded and walked away before she turned her head to look at the woman
"Oh my, what a surprise!" The woman said, as she approached Yukino and Hachiman, "I never expected to run into you out here, Yukino..."

"Onii-chan stopped the waitress..." Komachi said, surprised, "I guess he's ordering something else?"
"I wonder what he's ordering..." Yui said, before looking at Yukino, "Look! Yukinon's blushing!"
"Did Sempai order something that Yukino-Senpai wanted?" Isshiki asked, as she began to look around, "Man, I wish we could get closer to hear what's going on!"
"Don't be crazy!" Komachi said, "Yukino-san would be really mad if she caught us here!"
"Komachi-chan's right-" Yui began, only for her to stop talking as she watched across the street, "Oh my god~!"
"Yui-senpai?" Isshiki asked, as she stood up and looked as well, "Wha-"
"What's going-" Komachi asked, as she looked across the street as well and immediately lost her will to speak as well as all three girls saw the waitress bringing this item to Yukino and Hachiman's table, an item that had a lot of whipped cream on it, with banana slices all around it and strawberries on top as well, clearly hinting that this was a couple's item that the two of them ordered.
"Onii... chan ordered that?" Komachi asked, finally able to speak
"No way! Senpai is not the type of guy that'll order stuff like that!" Isshiki said, trying to rationalize, "I mean, he may have stopped the waitress before she left, but-"
"GAH!" Yui exclaimed, interrupting Isshiki as she almost immediately grabbed both Komachi and Isshiki by their arms and with a strength that neither of them were aware that she had, Yui suddenly dragged them from behind the bench that they were hiding behind and went behind a giant pillar that was nearby, letting both of them go once they got there and collapsing against the pillar
"Yui-Senpai!" Isshiki exclaimed, "Why did you drag us away?!"
"T-That woman..." Yui said, as she pointed from behind the pillar, "...the one who just crossed the street?"
"What woman?" Isshiki asked, as she looked at her from behind the pillar, "What about her?"
"She's Hayato-kun's mom!" Yui exclaimed
"EHHH~?!" Both Komachi and Isshiki exclaimed

"A surprise, indeed... especially after what your husbands' actions last night" Yukino said, immediately shifting into her 'Ice Queen' persona as the woman approached her and Hachiman, "I'm currently in the middle of something, so if this isn't important, then please take it up with my parents, Mrs. Hayama."
'M-Mrs. Hayama!' Hachiman thought, as he looked at the woman, 'This woman is Hayama's mother and the wife of that guy who tried to grab Yukino last night...'
"My husband is actually the reason why I'm here, I wanted to apologize for his actions last night at your school." Mrs Hayama said, "He was just so upset at your sisters actions last night that he decided to act without thinking-"
"You mean when he assaulted my boyfriend last night by forcefully shoving him out of the way and tried to abduct me last night?" Yukino asked, interrupting Mrs Hayama, "I'm also aware of what my sister did and her reasoning behind it after talking with her and both of my parents last night."
"I see..." Mrs Hayama said, as she suddenly looked over at Hachiman, "...Might I ask who your guest is?"
"Not that it's any of your business, but this is my boyfriend" Yukino said, "The same man that your husband assaulted last night."
"Your boyfriend?" Mrs Hayama asked, as she looked at Hachiman, "Why would you be dating a boy with such... nasty-looking eyes?"
'Nasty-looking eyes?!' Hachiman thought, as he started to get ready to respond, only for Yukino to raise her hand up to stop him
"Mrs. Hayama, I told your husband that he needed to treat my boyfriend with the same level of respect that he would show me" Yukino said, with a deadly gleam in her eyes, "I expect you to do the same."
"Of course, I didn't mean to offend you!" Mrs Hayama said, raising her hands in front of her to apologize, "It's just there's clearly better-looking people out there for one such as yourself, like Hayato for exam-"
"Do you mean the same Hayato who abandoned me when we were children to be bullied and ostracized by all the other children, because if you're trying to compare the two of them, Hachiman may have 'Nasty-looking eyes' as you call them, but he's a hundred times better than your son because throughout the entire time I've been acquainted with Hachiman, we've had some ups and a lot of downs, but throughout that time, we both grew as people and became closer with each passing day and when things finally came to a head, Hachiman stood up against everyone in order to remain a part of my life" Yukino said, "...However, your son is a coward that refuses to take sides when an issue comes up, even going as far as to support Tobe-san when he asked for our help with his confession to Ebina-san, then indirectly asks Hachiman to sabotage the confession when neither him nor Ebina-san are capable to just telling Tobe-san that Ebina-san is not interested in being in a relationship, so don't go comparing Hayato to Hachiman to me because there is no comparison."
"I-I didn't mean to upset you, Yukino-san..." Mrs Hayama said, trying to defend herself
"Upset me? Trust me, Mrs Hayama... I'm well beyond being 'upset' with you and your husband, especially after what he attempted to do last night, you suddenly have the gall to show up here while I am trying to spend time with my boyfriend." Yukino said, taking a deep breath, "...If you even have one shred of dignity inside you, then just leave... otherwise, you're going to leave me no other choice but to contact my parents and let them know what you're doing right now."
Mrs. Hayama was about to say something else, but when she looked up and noticed the dirty looks that she was getting from the entire cafe, she let out a heavy sigh and immediately turned around, as she began to head back across the street and in the direction that she had previously gone in as Yukino just watched as Mrs. Hayama left until she was completely out of sight. Yukino turned her head back towards Hachiman and was about to apologize, only for her eyes to catch the sight of a fork holding a piece of the Pancake surprise was now being held in front of her as Hachiman held it there, his face red with embarassment, as Yukino face was suddenly covered in a blush as well as she waited a few second before she leaned forward and opened her mouth, biting the piece off of Hachiman's fork.
"How is it?" Hachiman asked
"...It actually tastes quite nice." Yukino said, as she looked at him, "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"Everything's fine..." Hachiman said, as he smirked a bit, "How do you feel?"
"I'll be-" Yukino began, as she looked at Hachiman before sighing, "...No, I'm not fine...It bothers me."
"What bothers you?" Hachiman asked
"Hayato's parents... they were always nice and kind towards my family, even when we heard rumors about the things they'd done to achieve their status" Yukino said, "My father always dismissed those rumors as jealousy due to how much their family achieved from nothing... but in the end, it was all true."
"You couldn't have predicted what they'd do, Yukino" Hachiman said
"My family has always worked hard to keep up our reputation of being honest and trustworthy, despite the many rumors that go around about my mother using our family's influence to punish people who go against us, when in truth, she's never done that because something like that would cause harm toward my father's reputation, the very same reputation that he worked his entire life to build could now end up tainted because the two of them." Yukino said, "He could end up losing his seat on the Prefectual Diet, not to mention the fact that he may be forced to resign from his position as CEO of our families construction company if things reach that far, and yet all those two care about is how my sister chose to retaliate against them and how all of this incoveniences them!"
"..." Hachiman just remained silent as Yukino finished her rant, only to then cut off another piece of the pancake surprise and hold it out to her again as Yukino looked at him for a moment before smiling as she took another bite, "Hey..."
"Yes?" Yukino asked
"How about after we look at a few of the bakeries... we go and find something for us to do?" Hachiman asked, "Just the two of us?"
"...I'd really like that" Yukino said, as she began to feel her mood improving

Yui and Isshiki both were watching from the other side of the pillar as they oversaw the exchange between Yukino and Mrs Hayama, even as Mrs Hayama went on the defensive after she insulted Hachiman, only to be told off by Yukino and suddenly start walking back across the street in the direction that she had just come from as both girls came back behind the pillar and looked over at Komachi, who had her phone out and was texting someone.
"That... wasn't good." Isshiki said, as she looked over at Komachi, "Oi, rice-girl... what are you doing?"
"Handling the situation..." Komachi said, as she put her phone away and looked at the two girls, "I think it'd be best if we left now in order to avoid either of them realizing that we're over here."
"Hold on, why do we need to leave now?" Isshiki said, as Yui felt her phone vibrate and pulled it out, "We haven't been caught-"
"...umm, actually, we were." Yui said, cutting off Isshiki as she held out her cell phone, "Yukino just sent me this text."
Isshiki and Komachi looked at Yui's phone to see a simple message sent to her from Yukino:
'If you guys wanted to go with us, you could've just said something... instead of trying to hide behind a bench with holes big enough to see the people behind it'
"...yeah, I think it's time to go." Isshiki said

Mrs Hayama was walking back down the street in the direction of her car after being told off by Yukino, only for her to suddenly get grabbed by her arm and pulled into an alleyway between two building, stumbling and falling down onto her hands and knees before slowly getting back up and turning around to face her attacker, only for her to see not an attacker in front of her, but an angry Nee-san that went by the name of Haruno Yukinoshita.
"...I honestly can't believe the gall of both you and your husband." Haruno said, "After everything you did to my family and the fact that neither my father, mother or myself want to hear your excuses, both you and your husband have the gall to try and go through Yukino!?"
"This coming from someone who grabbed me off the streets and threw me into an alleyway?" Mrs Hayama said, smirking, "You know, I could call the police and have you arrested for assault..."
"Go right ahread" Haruno said, as she held out her phone, "I wonder how it'll look when it's also revealed how you're stalking Yukino after your husband failed to abduct her last night?"
"Hmph!" Mrs. Hayama grumbled, as she looked at Haruno, "You call me a stalker and yet, here you are on the same street where your sister and her boyfriend are on a date together?"
"Unlike you and your husband, I actually have an excuse to be around here right now because after what your husband pulled last night, we had to cancel Yukino's lease on her apartment and arranged for all her belongings to be taken from the apartment and placed in storage." Haruno said, "...but I'm pretty certain you already know that since the building manager mentioned that you showed up there earlier today and went into her apartment, only to then leave in a hurry with an irritated look on your face... I mean, did you honestly think that we'd allow Yukino to remain in a place that you could gain access to?"
"How cute...It seems like the only ones willing to bear the fangs against my family are the Yukinoshita children." Mrs Hayama said, smirking, "Neither your father, Daisuke or your mother, Kei are willing to say anything or do anything to us!"
"My father has more important things to deal with right now than wasting time on your family, like running a multi-billion yen construction company, as well as having to deal with the fallout of a corruption scandal that was caused by you and your husband!" Haruno said, "...and since you brought her up, the only and I repeat, THE ONLY reason that our mother hasn't chosen to take any action is because she doesn't want Hayato to get caught in the crossfire!"
"Is that right? Don't feed me that garbage of looking out of him!" Mrs. Hayama said
"Our mother has always looked out for Hayato, even going as far as to try and work to repair things between him and Yukino..." Haruno said, "
"Please, Kei tossed my son aside for this delinquent-looking boy!" Mrs Hayama said
"Actually, you're wrong." Haruno said, interrupting Mrs. Hayama, "Our mother had nothing to do with that... Yukino was the one who chose him."
"It's Yukino who has the bad tastes, then?" Mrs Hayama said, as she started laughing, "Her tastes are worse than I thought if she actually had the gall to say that this boy was a hundred times better than Hayato!"
"...actually, you're right, Hachiman isn't a hundred times better than Hayato-kun" Haruno said, "...A hundred times is far to small when comparing how much better he is for Yukino than your son!"
"Is that so?" Mrs Hayama said
"Yukino and Hayato-kun were always childhood friends and were always close to each other, but then came elementary school, where his downfall began, as Yukino had to deal with all of the bullying and being ostracized by all her classmates, yet Hayama refused to stand up for her or do anything to stop the bullying." Haruno began, "She went through the same issues while she was studying abroad for Middle School and Hayato-kun was unable to follow her due to their already strained relationship, yet the times that I'd go visit her and Hayato would accompany me, he would still do the exact same thing while other people bullied her and do nothing to help her, so when High school came along and she began to attend Sobu, Yukino decided to remain by herself and not make any friends."
"That boy, Hachiman went through almost the same exact thing that Yukino went through... a young man who was bullied and ostracized throughout elementary and middle school, so he also chose to be a loner and not try to make any friends as well, so when the two of them were forced to co-exist with the other one, they absolutely hated each other, but as they ended up spending more time together, they slowly began to form a unique bond between each other that was capable of surviving anything that was thrown at it and would only grow stronger" Haruno continued, "All the countless times that I 'messed' with them and continued to try and drive them apart, they would always somehow come back together and their bond would be stronger for it, not to mention all the other issues that they had to deal with, yet no matter how bad things got between them or how upset they got with each other, they always came back together and their bond would always be stronger because of it."
"...It all finally came to a head when Yukino was the one who chose to try and cast their relationship aside because she believed that she had become to dependent on him and wanted to be able to stand on her own and yet, Hachiman was the one who refused to let it go." Haruno finished, "He chose to take a huge risk and stood against everyone... Sobu, The PTA, myself, and even our mother... He stood against all of us so he could remain a part of Yukino's life... something your son never once even attempted to do during his entire time in high school!"
"...so in the end, Kei Yukinoshita's youngest daughter becomes an even bigger disappointment than her oldest daughter." Mrs. Hayama said, "She chooses the poor and nasty commoner over a dashing prince!"
"Sometimes the commoner is the better choice for the princess than a prince." Haruno said, "This is your last warning, Akari Hayama... leave Yukino alone and back off or else!"
"Please, your mother and father won't do anything and they won't let you do anything either!" Mrs Hayama said, "All you're capable of doing right now is baring your fangs at me and nothing else, Haruno Yukinoshita!"
"...it's funny how you continually refer towards me as the only one in my family who'll bare our fangs against you..." Haruno said, "...yet all you're capable of doing right now is barking like the dog you are."
Haruno didn't even give Mrs Hayama a chance to respond to her as she immediately walked passed her and made her way out of the alley before turning and walking in the direction that Mrs Hayama had just came from, in order to prevent her from trying to go back in that direction, as Mrs Hayama reached in her purse and pulled out a cell phone and began to dial someone.
Hey, It's me..." Mrs Hayama said, speaking into her cell phone as she walked out of the alleyway, "...unfortunately, my plan to try and talk to Yukino failed and now Haruno is aware that I tried to contact her."
'Damn it... It looks like we've got no other choice but to try and use Hayato-' Mr Hayama began to say
"No, I told you that we're not getting Hayato involved in this, Kei Yukinoshita is a part of the Parental Advisory council and has a lot of influence in the school, so if Hayato tries anything and Kei gets wind of it, then she could bring up all of this up to the school and claim that we're trying to get our son to harass Yukino!" Mrs Hayama said, cutting off her husband, "The best case scenario is that Hayato is allowed to graduate, but has to complete his courses either off-campus or in another class, however the worst case scenario is that Hayato is expelled from school and then all that money we spent on his school tuition is wasted!"
'Fine, what the hell do you suggest?' Mr Hayama said
"We file a lawsuit against their family... just like you mentioned last night." Mrs Hayama said, "You need to show them what happens when you decide to turn your back to the Hayama family!"

Hachiman had just finished paying the cafe for their little morning treat and was making his way back outside the cafe when he noticed that Yukino had wandered off somewhere, so he took a quick glance around and saw Yukino standing across the street and behind a park bench for some reason, so Hachiman made his way across the street to Yukino.
"Something up?" Hachiman asked
"No, I just wanted to make certain that our little spy congregation had left..." Yukino said, "...I mean, seriously, did they really think hiding behind a bench with holes in the seat would actually hide them?"
"They set us up to be alone together... it's not surprising that with both Isshiki and Komachi, they'd choose to come over and spy on us instead" Hachiman said, sighing before he reached out his hand to Yukino, "Anyways, how about we continue on with working on this request?"
"That sounds perfectly wonderful..." Yukino said, smiling as she took Hachiman's hand as the two of them walked off together down the road...

A/N: I'm pretty certain that I've gone completely OC in this chapter with Haruno, but I wanted one of Haruno's reasons to be that she continually interfered with them and even pushed Hachiman a bit was because she wanted to 'test' Hachiman and see if he really had what it takes to be a part of Yukino's life and weather the storms that Yukino would have to deal with throughout her life, so she would purposely goad Yukino into doing all of this while also seeing if Hachiman would either leave or get driven away by Yukino.
Also, I want to apologize for the complete delay on chapters for this story, but I went to take a small break and the shit literally hit the fan for me almost immediately... Trying to balance going back to school and working a full-time job, my mom having to stay down in Texas for several months due to finalizing her mom/my grandma's selling of the house after she passed away, being literally overworked at work, and finally my other grandma also passed away about a month ago. I'm trying to get back into writing my stories and I've also been working on a personal project... but I can't guarantee that I'll have a consistant schedule on either this story or my 'Gamers' story, so please be patient and I'll try to update as I can, so please bear with me as I try to get back into the flow of writing these stories once again.
